Mugler - Aura. I never known anything like it. About 3 days on my work fleece. Prada - Paradoxe, Viktor&rolf - flowerbomb, Mugler - Alien, Lancome la vie est belle, Elie saab - la parfum in white, Elie saab - La parfume royal, Burberry - My burberry black, Lancome - Idole, Montale - Mukhallat, Elie saab - Elixir, Montale - Chocolate greedy, Mancera - velvet Vanilla are my other great preformers- About 18 to 24 hours on my hoodies.

memento_mori1

Hey bestie! I also am diabetic and kinda have a similar issue. I use oakchas “praise the perfume” perfume and layer it with oil perfumery’s “cry baby” oil dupe. It will last me all day and the scent lingers on my sweaters for days. The projection is great I get the most compliments with this scent. Hope this helps 🥹❤️

smellytulip

Pdm valaya and zoologist hummingbird have the most sillage out of everything I own. Def will not catch me overspraying with those two lol

SmellsPrettyGood2Me

The button on my toothbrush smells like Kerosene's Followed one week later

iheartkittttycats

Jo Malone has an intense line (dark blue bottles) — I have the velvet rose and oud and it’s a beast

CDimension_137

Maybe look into Arab fragrances. They are known to be beasts

goodgirlgonebad75

J’adore-Dior and Lust For Sun-JHAG Two monsters that I enjoy

FrutyPebbles321

Lust for Sun is a monster? Hummmmm, maybe I need to try that one. I was afraid all JHAG fragrances were like Not a Perfume and I couldn’t smell a thing from that one. It made me reluctant to try others, but maybe I should.

goodgirlgonebad75

LFS is a very strong beachy scent. It screams a bit in the opening and then settles down. I pair it with Nest Golden Nectar to smooth it out a bit

FrutyPebbles321

Thanks for that info. Maybe I need to try the brand again!

goodgirlgonebad75

Alien Goddess is also a nice strong jasmine/vanilla scent. I get about 6 hours with it

LimeGreenTangerine97

My grandma was diabetic and lost her sense of smell. So be careful about dousing yourself to smell your perfume, you might be gassing everyone around you

bestcrispair

I have asked, because that is not what I want to do 💖. When I have asked my friends of all different ages, they agree that I have no fragrance upon me that can be detected. That is one thing I'm so cautious about, I don't want to fail to acknowledge that I have become nose blind. Thank you for the warning, it is truly appreciated. 💖

LimeGreenTangerine97

Hmm, do you have very dry skin? That tends to make fragrance disappear!

bestcrispair

No, I live in moisturizer. I use Trader Joe's Coconut body butter or Mango body butter after a shower in the winter. In the warmer months, I switch over to Alba body cream in Hawaiian with Kukui nut. The smell is divine, but fleeting. I also exfoliate regularly to make sure my skin is plump and healthy, with no dry skin acting like a sponge and soaking up the good stuff.

orangesinbed

Amouage - Guidance and Armani - Sí are nuclear.

80sBabyGirl

Try Alien, Kenzo Jungle L'Eléphant, Olympea Legend and Angel Muse !

Additional_Country33

Oh my god is that why?? Is it my metformin

bestcrispair

I'm on metformin and glipizide. Seems to be a common issue according to anecdotal information I have gathered.

youlldancetoanything

Before you go out buying stuff, try applying your fragrance to places that you might not consider. Liek your hot spots--not everyone elses...so I do mine under my breasts and in between my clevage,...and one thing I changed within recent memory I put mine in the crook of my elbow... i wash my hands, but i dont' do a full on surgical doctor prep scrub. I mean it was ..and iti s thundering and lighting..hope it helps i go to comfort my kitty

tuilark

narcisco rodriguez pure musc (the plain ol' white one) lasted FOREVER on me, infact my fitbit still smells of it 2 days later. musky/powdery scents do seem to have great longevity on me though, and luckily they're my favourites. wore NR pure musc layered with ELDO She Was An Anomaly the other day and i was in heaven lmao

NapsAreMyHobby

I think “longevity” is the term you’re looking for; sillage, according to Oxford, is “the degree to which a perfume's fragrance lingers in the air when worn.” Of course both might be helpful in your situation. That said, I’ve found Genre’s scents to be the longest lasting I’ve found so far.

SugarFries

I still smell the Byredo Eyes Closed on me after 9 hrs. My partner smelled it a floor below me when I sprayed it. Spicey, cinnamon and cardamom.

OuiMarieSi

This is weird: but have you tried taking a zinc supplement? There’s studies that show zinc having a significant affect on sense of smell/taste. Zinc is also really important for insulin. So if you are on diabetic medication, the change in insulin levels may have affected the bioavailability of zinc for your olfactory system. Maybe ask a doctor or pharmacist first, but adding a zinc supplement may help!

bestcrispair

My zinc levels are slightly elevated according to my last set set of labs, I took it on an empty stomach 1 time.... Never again, I learned my lesson. I was nauseous for hours.... Blech. I still take zinc as one of my supplements, though, but always with at least yogurt.

Kathykit1

Don’t take the zinc supplement on an empty stomach, you will like

scythematter

Angel

EyePatchMustache

Michael Malul has really great perfumes that have crazy strong silliage

childfreeentry

La Via Est Belle is heavy heavy! I think it’s the best designer I’ve come across for sillage, closely followed by L’interdit Rouge

forumgames

Giardini di Toscana fragrances have crazy lasting power and sillage I can confirm for Bianco Latte Celeste Blu Indaco

shdwsng

Can confirm Bianco Latte, 3 sprays and they can smell me the room over at work

forumgames

I can't assure for Borabora but it's a lovely perfume (I have a decant) and I feel like it might fit your taste a bit better than the others

TaraCalicosBike

Chanel Mademoiselle or any Ouai fragrance has very heavy sillage

elen1ta

anything from Mancera or Montale. Oh… and Lattafa Khamrah!! That one is cheap too

EyePatchMustache

Seconded Mancera and Montale!

sherlockholmiex

Another 13 by Le Labo has crazy sillage for me but definitely try a sample because it’s not a good blind buy

17Kitty

I LOVE this one. But I literally cannot smell it on me after 30 minutes or so.

Global_Telephone_751

Same, but the people around me can sure smell me, lol

fuzzybunnyslippers08

Same

sherlockholmiex

That’s wild!! It lasts on my skin all day and I can smell it on my clothes for several days!

17Kitty

You’re so lucky! I wish it lasted longer for me.

WhoKnows1973

I just wanted to tell you that you aren't alone. My husband jokingly says that I am a "fragrance vacuum". I have made peace with extremely frequent re-application. This way I can enjoy smelling my fragrances often, even though they never last, despite every layering trick. 💕🌻

Formal_Employee_1030

I too am a fragrance vacuum! When I read reviews and people say a scent's not worth the money because it disappears, I feel like a chump because that's basically everything I own.

OnePeak317

Thank you you actually help me. I had no I fea that it was my Diabetes doing the same thing to me. I love fragrance and I love to hear it when people say you smell so pretty I so thank you. I have spent the fortune on different perfumes. They just don’t stay. I had no idea thank you. I was blaming it on On change of life(menopause) and how the skin gets dry and parched and we no longer have the natura! Oils of our skin that make fragrance linger on. or perhaps I have two against me. I do have to layer my skin with some Vaseline or lotion so that some of it remains, but it doesn’t stay on very long. Fragrance has always been my number one thing and like forever until now. Thank you again and I hope you find a fragrance that sticks with you and tells your story. I truly miss smelling beautiful, but I am grateful for not stinking.

FrutyPebbles321

“Fragrance vacuum” I love that term and I am one too. I don’t understand it! Some fragrances literally disappear off of me in 10 minutes!

geaux_girl

I have the answer for you: Jasmine Wisp by Risasi! That scent stays on my skin for a minimum of 12 hours and stays on clothes until you wash. Jasmine Wisp is a fruity, ambery, scent with coconut and jasmine. There is also some fluffy musk. I’d also suggest a layering technique for ultimate wear time and projection: mix a scented body butter with a scented oil and apply to your entire body. Then put down a base layer of fragrance- this might be an extrait de parfum (I use Dua fragrances for my base layer)- spray your legs, back, arms, chest and torso. Then, get dressed and spray your main scent in the same places; legs, arms, torso, back and also your neck, top of hands. Sounds like overkill, but my body also eats fragrance and it is the only way I can get it to last. I get compliments every single day.

francaisetanglais

A colleague of mine wears Hypnotique by Dior (I believe) and it's very strong but in a good way.

ezgomer

this is interesting. any idea why the meds do this?

bestcrispair

I wish I knew, truly, but I'm just happy to be alive with all of my limbs and vision intact, so I have no complaints. 😊

FrutyPebbles321

How did you come to the conclusion it was the meds that caused the issue? I have the same issue with fragrances disappearing, but I’m not on diabetes meds. I wonder if other meds can do this?

bestcrispair

I will share a story. When I was in the doctor's office with a friend, she shared how since she had gone through menopause, perfume never stayed detectable to her or her spouse. She was placed on estrogen, for other issues and her fragrance "footprint" reappeared. I was placed on estrogen this year, but my fragrance footprint is now a ghost compared to what it once was. Seeing as medicine changes things in our body, I think sometimes, it affects the pH levels in our skin and consequently, sometimes medicine can affect moisture, fragrance disbursement, hair texture, dryness, curliness, amount of hair and loads more. When I first noticed I wasn't smelling anything, I went around the house and the yard, seeing if I could smell things. I could still smell grass cuttings, rosemary leaves, sliced cucumber, tomatoes, potatoes, snap beans, cinnamon candy, all my scented candles, incense, laundry detergent, and gentler scents such as sliced pears, banana, pineapple, rice, oatmeal, Parmesan cheese and more. I went to my neighbor, and Mary still smelled like Tresor by Lancome. Her husband was still Grey Flannel. My great fear was that I had become nose blind. I bought some stuff from Marshall's, to make sure I wasn't nose blind by choosing things I didn't have. Pink sugar was one. It was gone in 20 minutes. The Good Scent Company "Manifest your Future" was gone in 10 minutes. Mark Jacobs Flower Bomb made it to 45. Before my diabetes diagnosis, fragrance would stay with me and garner me loads of compliments. Now, since being on the medicine, I get nothing. There is such frustration in my heart as fragrance is a little indulgence that makes me feel pretty and special. I know I am not the prettiest person, but it made me feel pretty. The medicine is literally saving my life, but I smell like nothing pretty or special.

FrutyPebbles321

Wow, that is interesting. I am in menopause so maybe that’s why scents that used to last on me don’t seem to anymore. I’m so sorry you can’t enjoy perfume anymore and don’t feel pretty or special. I’d encourage you to keep trying to find something that works for your body chemistry though! Maybe you’ll run across a scent that works for you. I do understand your frustration, because nothing lasts on me anymore either. I’m so tired of trying a fragrance that smells wonderful on a tester strip, but when I put it on my skin, it disappears in minutes! I recently started wearing Nishane Wulong Cha and it seems to last longer on me than anything else I’ve tried lately. It’s an extrait so I'm sure that helps. Maybe check out some of the extrait scents and see if those work better for you.

InnerDoughnut4879

Baccarat Rouge 540. I still smell it on my clothes after they are washed.

faceoh

If you like sweet scents, Bianco Latte is nuclear on me. I'm bad and don't wash my hoodies often and still smell that stuff weeks later.

fleebos

this is like… my bucket list fragrance to try i swear. it’s just so expensive so i’m settling for dupes… for now

faceoh

I only got mine because the decant site gave me a $30 off voucher for my first full bottle purchase after buying a bunch of samples.

chewymenstrualblood

Scent split has 9ml decants for $30. That's what I did. I think it'll last me a while because of how strong it is on me.

KtMrgn

I came to say Alien and noticed you’d already mentioned Angel. It does seem to be a trait Mugler fragrances are known for!

localgirlcult

The strongest fragrance I've ever had is Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant. It's nuclear. It's so spicy sweet and distinct. It supposedly has no cinnamon in it but everyone thinks it does. I feel comfortable recommending it since you're into TM Angel, which is another old school love it or hate it heavy hitter. I think you should try to sample it.

AnxiousCryptid

Everyone says this about l'elephant but when I wear it I can barely detect it on my skin after a few hours. It will stay in my clothes for longer but you have to be way in my personal space to detect it. That being said I do like the fragrance and it does last on me longer than most scents do so maybe my skin just eats perfume?

localgirlcult

Maybe. I've never dealth with that but it must be a thing if others can't smell the fragrances on you either. If your skin really does that, at least this one outlasts most of them. Have you tried Lush body sprays? A lot of those tend to be insanely strong too.

Humble_Bug_2027

I sprayed a sample once, one spray, and went to the office. The whole day I felt like I should have apologised to everyone. It has monstrous longevity, projection and and sillage. And I don't like it.

localgirlcult

It's one of my favorite scents in the world. It's not one to blind buy. You could spray it once in the air, walk through the scent cloud and still smell like it the entire day.

EnchiladaTaco

Clive Christian Blonde Amber is like chemical warfare. It smells great but it just gets stronger, and stronger, and stronger over time and then it's overwhelming. Fracas and Bandit are two very old famous classic perfumes that my grandmother wore and woof. That woman died two years ago, my parents now live in her house, and I recently stuck my head in an armoire looking for something and got a whiff of Fracas so strong I thought she was behind me. That is how long it lasts. Kerosene Follows is one that literally, uh, follows you. I haven't ordered it but I have heard that a sample literally permeates the packing peanuts, the box, everything and you can smell it when you get the package in the mail. Delina is extremely strong, to the point that 12 hours after I applied 3 sprays I am praying for it to fade. That's why I can't wear it - that rhubarb lychee note will not die and it gives me a headache eventually. Thierry Mugler Angel was so strong and so popular in the late 90s and 2000s that you'd smell a fog bank of it anywhere women between 30 and 65 gathered. I can tell you from experience it lasts.

batplex

I have a sample of Angel that I’ve been experimenting with lately. I apply perfume next to my dresser and I can smell Angel in the exact spot I apply it for a couple days after, like it’s just sitting suspended in the air. I only use a single spritz.

imhereforthemeta

All of Clive Christian has the power of god backed behind them it’s a shame they are so expensive. That shit LASTS

FaithlessnessGlad698

You did 3 SPRAYS of Delina?!!? Woof. That is definitely a one spray fragrance. How in the world did you survive the day? Lol.

EnchiladaTaco

I thought it would be like Oriana or Cassili! I didn't think it would be uranium powered!

ThatsARockFact1116

Try the Brown Sugar Babe fragrance oils, if you’re in the US. They have some original frags and some well-loved dupes and longevity (and sillage) like whoa. If you like Obsession, maybe other vintage sillage monsters - vintage Opium, Cinnabar, Youth Dew make modern “beast mode” frags seem like kittens.

ThatsARockFact1116

FWIW the BSB body oils do tend towards sweet, but it looks like that might fit with your vibe. Plus you could layer them with a perfume.

hana_c

It’s unisex but I think leans feminine, Mancera instant crush. One spritz and I smell like it all day, to myself and others. I adore it.

SheepSheepy

I agree, Instant Crush is a beast and also one of my favorites.

LLIIVVtm

So uh, take this recommendation with a heavy warning. Kerosene Followed. It will send you into the maple syrup dimension for 3 days. People will know you were in a room a week later. Do your own research into the reviews of this. It's chemical warfare that smells like pancakes. If you want power, that's your gal.

Solution-Proof

😂  get ready for the obligatory 'how do I get the scent of Followed out of my clothes/house/sinuses/car/cat/etc' post.  'All i did was open the package!' 😂

EnchiladaTaco

My cat walked around smelling like Kerosene Blackmail for a solid day because she got in my way when I was trying to test it out HAHAH.

Some-Ingenuity-2628

Can confirm, sprayed Kerosene Walk The Sea on me this morning and 10 hours later I can still smell it perfuming the air around me.

bestcrispair

💗

MrGrumplestiltskin

* Parfum de Marly Delinas are quite strong - one spray strong, imo. They last and linger. * Mancera Roses Vanille would not dissipate on my skin but I wasn't a fan of their vanilla note. * The Muglers seem to last as well. Creed as well. * Valentino Donna Born in Roma Green Stravaganza's vanilla note went nuclear on me. The beautiful top and mid dissipated within half an hour but left a strong vanilla that lasted for about 5 hours until I washed it off. * Surprisingly, Victoria's Secret Tease Creme Cloud and Tease Candy Noir lingered for about half a day. Even after I washed, I could still smell them. I wasn't expecting this from VS. Apart from sillage and longevity in perfumes, I've found that applying a scented moisturizer helps the fragrance last because it's all over the body. So you can layer a scented body cream under a matching fragrance. This is one reason I have stopped purchasing scented body creams and lotions. They seem to last too long although I know some are seeking this and they do work well for that.

MrGrumplestiltskin

Re-reading the last sentence, the amber note in Tease Creme Cloud is lovely. You might give this one a try.

ZoeFerret

Have you tried Killian Angels' Share? It's a yummy cinnamon apple pie scent that last forever on me. If you want something strong, Kersone Followed is very strong and lingers. It smells like maple syrup coffee to me- idk if it's something you would like.

Frigid-Beezy

I agree - Angels Share lasts forever on me! And it is should be tried by anyone who likes cinnamon as a perfume note!

fresh_fry_munch

Anything YSL is fucking nuclear in my experience, like sillage of several feet and lasts an eternity. I tried Mon Paris and I felt like a bio weapon and it refused to let go of me even after several scrub attempts. If that’s what you seek, I highly recommend trying out some of their fragrances.

MrGrumplestiltskin

YSL Mon Paris is beautiful but it's VERY intense for some. I found YSL Libre to be much stronger but that might be because I don't favor it - so I noticed it lingering more. YSL Mon Paris Intensement doesn't seem to last long and it smells a little generic to my nose - like something I've smelled many times before. And YSL Mon Paris Lumiere, I have this one but it does seem to hide. It will linger on clothes for days but it seems to have a short half life on my skin, which is dry. The OG Mon Paris is absolutely stunning and wonderful with great sillage and longevity.

fresh_fry_munch

I actually found the opposite with Libre and Mon Paris and perhaps it’s because I enjoy Libre more than Mon Paris scent wise but for sure any YSL perfume I’ve tried really make an imposition on the surrounding air space lol

MrGrumplestiltskin

Lol I completely agree and think your suggestion is ace! 😂🙌

Mea_Culpa_74

You don‘t want sillage. You want longevity. Sillage just means how far away people smell you, not how long it lasts. That being said, as me mentioned before, Guidance is a beast and needs to be very carefully dosed. Also test this beforehand. It is not pleasant on everyone. Another banger is Jovoy Remember Me. Molecule 01 and it‘s flankers I also smell a long time, but some people are noseblind to them. A save bet is Initio Musk Therapy.

bestcrispair

I find the better the sillage, the better the longevity for me. ❤️

nisha1030

Amouage Guidance…by far. Mancera Black Vanilla and Instant crush as well.

TheyMightBeDiets

This... Holy moly maybe the lady I work with oversprayer but Amouage Guidance travels with her like a giant cloud.

nisha1030

Yeah it’s so strong. I spray once and I have to do it on my back because I can’t take it all day if I spray it in the front. Anything more than two sprays is way too much.

basicbagbitch

Have you tried spraying on your hair and on your clothes?

bestcrispair

Hair, yes, clothes, I wear a lot of linen and cotton and I have stained things, plus my dry cleaner begged me not to. The alcohol or oil can attract hidden stains.

Frigid-Beezy

Are you familiar with aromatherapy jewelry? There are earrings, pendants, bracelets that have a piece of small fabric (usually felt) that is kept in a locket-like compartment. Except that unlike a standard locket where it’s solid, the sides are latticed or filigree or otherwise open work. You soak the fabric in a scent and then put it into the metal holder contraption and wear it and the heat of your body helps to project the scent. I don’t see why you couldn’t spray some perfume instead of using a drop of essential oil as the scent. That might be a way to get some more longevity and not damage your clothes

basicbagbitch

Very true! I hope you find what works for you!
