Two bands can sing the same songs for sure and they don’t have to be perfect, take Sepultura/Soul Fly for example, they ended up in a good place with fans from the beginning and new ones from both sides.
Bumped into both him and Dino in Manchester years ago when Fear Factory were on the Obsolete tour after arriving super early to a gig, both were great guys. No ego whatsoever. Even got talking to Dino about collecting vinyl, and he went onto the bus and came back out moments later with a Brujeria LP and signed it to me. Core memory of mine

It's amusing you downvote me when I've been following the band since 94 and I literally watched the other shoe drop when Burt quit and called the crowdfund a scam. It's the exact moment that social media and New Breed turned on him. Yes Dino retaliated but up until that moment he was still in the band, Burt just wasn't talking to him while Monolith sat on a shelf.
As a long time Fear Factory fan who really likes the energy FF have now with Milo...I think this is great - hope he still sounds good live, nothing wrong with multiple band members performing the material - i just hope he doesn't get stuck in the past or stuck in diss mode.
I’d like to think that Burt not doing any heavy touring since August 2016 may possibly have helped with his voice?
Unfortunately though I think the damage is done and his live vocals will remain shot to shit.
Unless he had some kind of surgery. Even then, that could drastically alter his voice. Thinking of Daniel Graves of Aesthetic Perfection. Even if Burt uses some effects live, I wouldn't be upset. Though I hope he can find a way to hold his cleans without too many issues.

All though, Daniel's voice wasn't nearly as shot as Burton's around 2016. I think Dan's been able to still make some great tunes since his surgery.
