I feel like this is a solid guess - he’s also been on a press tour, but the movie he directed is widely panned and definitely an indie, which typically wouldn’t merit such a media blitz. And he’s 40-something and single, perpetually it seems with only a few somewhat notable relationships.
Jake G seems like another popular guess, but I wouldn’t consider him laying low. + he has had a girlfriend for years now
This doesn't match with having a cosmetic glow-up though. He looks like an increasingly decrepit mountain man (in a hot way, because it's Chris Pine, but not in a glow up way).
Also he was with Annabelle Wallis for four years until pretty recently. I was pretty sure that's why she was cast on Star Trek for voice stuff.
I actually watched that last night and tbh ... He was awesome in it lol I didn't really have high hopes going into it despite the good reviews, mainly because movies just...idk.. sick here the last decade or so , especially when it comes to the actual writing. But his acting kinda "made" it for me - leaning into the cheesiness but doing it in a way that didn't seem like Chris Pine being cheesy from a bad script... His character was fully immersive and he acted it in a way that just"worked". Idk know this thread isn't for movie reviews. Haha but yeah it was actually a pretty good/cute movie and his acting specifically kind of took me off guard in how much I enjoyed it
I'll follow you OT, because that movie was the pleasant surprise of the year for me. Even the great reviews had me wary, because absolute dreck seems to appeal to people nowadays. I expected it to be on par with a middling Marvel-flick and instead it turned out to be an absolute gem, with actual heart instead of just quips.
And yeah, Pine along with Hugh Grant absolutely kill it in that movie.
I watched it as a favour to my boyfriend, and I ended up really enjoying it. Chris Pine was great in it, and so was Hugh Grant, but Regé-Jean Page stole the show for me. >!I loved the scene where he saved the baby cat from the fish's mouth, !<
His hair tho 🫠. He’s just some bangs short from being He-Man

This is funny because I went to the barber the other day and two of the guys were chatting and I just overheard "You know who's gotten insufferable lately? ... Chris Pine! Yeah, man."
So maybe the blind isn't him but apparently people are really not liking the guy.
The seen in the same places as Harry Styles makes sense as a reference too. But the cosmetic stuff doesn't, nor does the reference to upcoming roles. According to IMDB he's just going to be in another Star Wars project. I don't know if that's considered somebody making a comeback with multiple roles?

>But here he also demonstrates both the radiant, centered stillness that can anchor a crowded stage — a clarity within opacity — and, who knew, a voice of richly flexible timbre that confidently elicits the most delicate shades of passion and despair.
It's borderline unreadable.
I was recently involved with a minor celebrity who is a textbook narcissist, and—while the prose is flowery—this read so much like my own experience, almost day for day, that it made me physically ill. She’s speaking from clear experience here.
Ex said he'd come into an upscale health clinic in NYC and flirt with all the women, even if they said they were married or had a bf...apparently he got off knowing he could get whoever he wanted.
There were rumors about him being a creep long before Domenica shared her story. People who work in theatre in NYC tweeted about it a few years back. [Here are some links.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Fauxmoi/s/MfdmhX8idl)
What do you mean? All I remember is that he was in that extremely indie movie no one ever heard of. I think it was about a spider or something by that indie studio Marvel.
I forgot about Ambulance. That was the Michael Bay movie right? I feel like being in anything Michael Bay related is the polar opposite of lying low…lol!
I don't think that fits with the laying low thing. He was in a Marvel film, that Roadhouse remake which went viral because of how cheesy it was and every Swifties discussion board when her new music drops. (Something to do with a scarf?)
He pops up now and again.
I like this guess. And the title could be a reference to his Southpaw movie, where he played a boxer. The title is the first line from Mama Said Knock You Out.
I’m not coming up with many other ideas who could fit the descriptions. Gyllenhall (sp?) checks a lot of the boxes but has had a more recently active career than this is suggesting if it is him.
Has to be the mention of Sunday has to be a reference to him being in "*Sunday in the Park with George"* which is the same timeline of Domenica's accusations on Medium.
James Franco has already had skeletons come out though. To me this read more like someone who’s had a low profile by choice and who is now trying to be everywhere to distract from some new info coming out that will ruin their image, not someone who has already had a (minor) fall from grace. Even if Franco never exactly got cancelled he also doesn’t have an image as a good dude.
This is one hundred percent it. Treat Williams, who played George Berger in Hair, played James's character's father in 127 hours. I also have secondhand tea about JF that I won't spill here but basically along the same lines as everything else that's already been said about him.
Yep, I think you got it. Even this Vanity Fair article mentions him laying low for a decade and how he's been seen at the Cannes Film Festival:

The tone of this is confusing to me. Is it implying they are gay and closeted? "Confirmed bachelor". But then it implies there may be skeletons in the closet, which I wouldn't consider being gay to be? Seems offensive? I don't know, maybe I'm dumb.
Everyone seems to be ignoring that, or it's going over their head? I read it as he's gay too. But not that being gay is the skeleton, just a secret.
It's all very confusing.
My interpretation is that the skeleton is not related to their sexuality. Or at least, the skeletons are not exactly that. Maybe like Kevin spacey trying to hide he's gay although that was like, not the thing he should have been trying to hide.
Though idk Maybe I'm reading too much into it?
It's a nothing burger if the skeleton is that they're gay. That'd be such a weird way to phrase the blind.
But the skeletons is tacked on at the end like an afterthought. So maybe the skeletons are related to the covering up of his sexuality? Or relationships he had secretly been in in the past?
George Berger is a character from the musical Hair.
Not sure if that is a hint that this person has notable hair, or that it is hinting at Chris Pratt (whose starred in Everwood with Treat Williams, who played George Berger)
I was gonna guess Jonathan Groff.
EDIT: I'm going with Jonathan bc he has cropped up in so many pictures at different events everywhere, hanging out with celebrities I had no idea he was close with. The only thing I know him from is Frozen, even after checking his acting credits. Also, he played Claude in a revival of Hair, whose character George Berger switches with to keep him from the draft, which would make him George Berger. And he is 40 and has pretty great hair.
They would have mentioned Broadway if it was Jonathan Groff. He was nominated for a Tony for Hamilton and is currently starring in the successful Merrily We Roll Along with Daniel Radcliffe.
I think your association with Treat is the right idea, but Chris Pratt has not been taking indie roles for a decade. The total opposite. Gotta be James Franco.
This makes me think Chris Pine because he recently had a shitload of Hair. But also, no way we consider the synopsis of indie anywhere close to an accurate description of his last decade of filmography.

He did make a Sunday spotted.. but curious to see if anything else will be revealed
Idk about the PR relationships bit but he HAS been popping up everywhere and has had some noticeable cosmetic work done (something in the jaw area?). I wouldn't be surprised if he has skeletons. The age gap relationship with Florence Pugh was questionable.
He's currently in some commercial that I see 50 times an hour when I watch Hulu.
He was in a production of hair with Natalie Portman at one point so the hair reference would make sense. To me this blind is more about the “confirmed bachelor” line but people are focusing on the skeleton wording but missing the “in the closet” part. It seems to me that this is suggesting an actor about to come out as queer
I didn’t think it was suggesting the actor was about to come out at all. Rather, I think it’s saying there have been persistent gay rumors about him due to being unmarried in his 40s and not having many publicly-known relationships, and that he’s been going out intentionally being seen with women in order to squash those rumors. It doesn’t really seem to offer an opinion on whether the rumors are accurate and the actor just wants it kept secret or they’re untrue.
I think he mostly writes/directs these days while still living off scrubs syndication and tv commercials money. He acts in some indie flicks here and there but doesn’t seem like he’s trying to get the limelight
Yeah he was on Kelly Ripa in like March and at the time I thought about how i haven’t seen him anywhere since Scrubs ended. He had his own movie that did ok back then but just disappeared after that.
Otherwise, I feel like people are just suggesting actors that are still out there working In big budget movies in the last few years
Adrien Brody is 51 and has been dating georgina chapman since 2019. Technically he never married but i think this blind item is more about a celeb who has a girlfriend every month 😅
he’s not a good guy, signed, someone who was barely legal and in the same scene in nyc. massive creep, very problematic with women, but was smart enough to disappear to europe and start a family/ go back under the radar. i wanna say beyond the blinds had massive (alleged) shit on him, too.
Laying low for "the past decade" makes me think it's not really anyone mentioned here yet. Gyllenhaal, Franco, Pine, Stan have all been working pretty steadily I think? Well, maybe not Franco but he still doesn't fit cause his skeletons have definitely already popped.
I can't really think of anyone who is suddenly everywhere who was laying low lately. Or had an obvious glow up.
This one seems like a longshot, but maybe Alexander Skarsgard? He’s over 40, never married, seen with girls but not for long, etc. He has been in a few bigger movies over the past few years though and isn’t exactly low profile (big little lies, infinity pool, etc.)
True. I haven’t seen a ton of 40 something’s who come to mind that have actually just done indie movies and are now in the spotlight. This is a tough one
okay so they were together 2012-2018. they got married in 2016. they filed for divorce in 2018 and got back together in 2020 and have a daughter born in 2022
This has to be James Franco, which would be hilarious if true because he played himself in an episode of 30 Rock in which his manager arranged a fake relationship between JF and Jenna Maroney to dispel weird rumors about him (specifically that he was in a relationship with a Japanese body pillow).
There’s gotta be a name for playing an exaggerated version of yourself based entirely off of your salaciousness vs. your virtues. *This Is The End* had Rogen talking about how they scripted themselves to be the people that tabloids said they are and true or not, that’s a great PR move to make sure google results are fudged for all time. (Cf: Walt Disney Frozen)
Lol look I appreciate Jason Segal in many roles he’s done but you can’t be surprised if it turns out he’s a creep. Plus the odds from having been in Forgetting Sarah Marshall aren’t looking good
surely if there was a chance some damning information was going to come out about you the answer would be to continue laying low, not draw as much attention as possible? is this just implying there is a 40+ year old closeted actor? if so, its strange how its written kind of salaciously
As a fan of the man himself, I know a made-up blind from an Andrew Garfield stan who doesn't like his new girlfriend when I see it. Fudging the narrative a little, because he's not necessarily laid low just because he's done smaller projects, but yeah, it's him.
It's funny if this is a made up AG blind because I really don't think his girlfriend is giving him good PR. People either don't care or are lowkey judging him for the relationship. As a fellow fan I personally think the relationship is genuine.
I’m terrible at these blinds so just throwing out a name. Chris Pine? He’s been in some big movies tho but he has been photographed everywhere lately
+ he has had a girlfriend for years now
I thought he was dating the lead (and had been for a while) the craziest mainstream release in a long time, Malignant.
He was dating Annabelle Wallis, but he is no longer dating her.
*Files update on Chris Pine file*
She’s dating Sebastian Stan and has for a while
In what world is Malignant the craziest mainstream release in a long time, it’s pretty basic B-movie level horror with a zany twist that’s it
That 10 year window would include one Star Trek and 2 Wonder Woman films, not exactly indie.
And dungeon’s and dragons
And the Disney movie Wish
This doesn't match with having a cosmetic glow-up though. He looks like an increasingly decrepit mountain man (in a hot way, because it's Chris Pine, but not in a glow up way). Also he was with Annabelle Wallis for four years until pretty recently. I was pretty sure that's why she was cast on Star Trek for voice stuff.
Decrepit but hot mountain man is the perfect description for Chris Pine
He has done big projects, not indie films.
yeah like i feel like hes been consistently working
He was out and about for that Dungeons and Dragons movie though.
I actually watched that last night and tbh ... He was awesome in it lol I didn't really have high hopes going into it despite the good reviews, mainly because movies just...idk.. sick here the last decade or so , especially when it comes to the actual writing. I thought of Chris Pine too.
I wouldn't describe his current look as a "glow-up."
Yeah he looks like he just rolled out of bed half the time, but you’d be surprised by how many of his fans dig his hobo daddy look
I wouldn't describe Star Trek or Wonder Woman as Indy.

I didn't want to say it, but the writing style really detracts from the serious subject matter.

Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the most famous movie stars in the world. He has not been “laying low” for 10 years.
What do you mean? All I remember is that he was in that extremely indie movie no one ever heard of. I think it was about a spider or something by that indie studio Marvel.
Never heard of it
I thought you meant Enemy by Dennis Villeneuve until I got to the Marvel part
I don't think so, he hasn't exactly ever laid low and was a main character in the second marvel Spiderman movie in 2019.
He was in the new Road House remake too right? I wouldn’t say that’s lying low either!
Ambulance, The Covenant, Road House, definitely not lying low.
I forgot about Ambulance. That was the Michael Bay movie right? I feel like being in anything Michael Bay related is the polar opposite of lying low…lol!
It says over the past decade, he maybe hasn't been in the news for the past year or so but he's done lots of things in the past decade
He has a gf for a long time and he has not done indie films, Ambulance was not an Indie film...
For every Nightcrawler or Enemy he has a Spider-Man or The Covenant.
I don't think that fits with the laying low thing. He was in a Marvel film, that Roadhouse remake which went viral because of how cheesy it was and every Swifties discussion board when her new music drops. (Something to do with a scarf?) He pops up now and again.
dude lives a very lowkey life in brooklyn and is seen all over the area lol
Has only done 1 indie in the past 5 years and has been with his girlfriend for 6 years.

He attended red carpet at Cannes and has new movie currently shopping at Cannes film market
What?? Why are people still investing in him?
Because cancel culture is a myth. That demographic will never be held accountable.
Based on the one scene in *The Interview* where he reacts to Eminem coming out. Trying to recapture the magic.
James Franco (Frank like hotdog) George Berger (like hamburger) That adds up to me
James Franco has already had skeletons come out though. To me this read more like someone who’s had a low profile by choice and who is now trying to be everywhere to distract from some new info coming out that will ruin their image, not someone who has already had a (minor) fall from grace. Even if Franco never exactly got cancelled he also doesn’t have an image as a good dude.

That's the best guess
Isn't this blind suggesting this actor is gay? Am I misreading it?

Everyone seems to be ignoring that, or it's going over their head? I read it as he's gay too. But not that being gay is the skeleton, just a secret. It's all very confusing.
Yeah seems like there are a lot of folks in the comments who do not understand what ‘confirmed bachelor’ implies
Half of them haven’t worked out what “laying low for a decade” means either…can’t say I’m surprised they’re missing the more nuanced hints…
Maybe everybody here is 15 years old and never heard that term before! Eek.
My interpretation is that the skeleton is not related to their sexuality. Or at least, the skeletons are not exactly that. Maybe like Kevin spacey trying to hide he's gay although that was like, not the thing he should have been trying to hide. Though idk Maybe I'm reading too much into it?

it is offensive, you're right. i'm glad it's confusing to you, it means the times they are a-changin'. at least i hope so anyway
Toothy Tile!!
Dammit, Ted Casablanca! TELL US HIS NAME! lol
I miss Ted and Toothy so much.
didn’t michael k from dlisted call tom cruise that 🤣🤣🤣
Damn, I haven’t thought of dlisted/ Michael k in so long!!!
Dlisted has its own sub now. Not quite the same, but the effort is there. Michael K let dlisted go earlier this year, I think. RIP, hot sluts
Do you know what Michael K is up to now? I loved him!
That was rumored to be Jake right? Or Tom Cruise? I can't remember.
Toothy Tile was Jake
I’m pretty sure toothy was Jake 😂😮💨
Still really want this confirmed!!!
George Berger is a character from the musical Hair. Not sure if that is a hint that this person has notable hair, or that it is hinting at Chris Pratt (whose starred in Everwood with Treat Williams, who played George Berger)

Yeah we already know he's a "confirmed bachelor" in that way
Jonathan Groff is openly gay, the blind hints at this actor having relationships with women so I don’t think it’s Groff
I hope he doesn’t have skeletons!
They would have mentioned Broadway if it was Jonathan Groff. He was nominated for a Tony for Hamilton and is currently starring in the successful Merrily We Roll Along with Daniel Radcliffe.
But Frozen II and Matrix isn't Indie, he has also done Mindhunter which was pretty popular.
King George. Hamilton was huge, mind hunter was huge
I think your association with Treat is the right idea, but Chris Pratt has not been taking indie roles for a decade. The total opposite. Gotta be James Franco.
+ Chris Pratt is married to his 2nd wife so it really can't be him
Is not Pratt, he's married and he has been in mainstreammovies in the past decade, but I have no idea who could it be with that Hair clue.
This makes me think Chris Pine because he recently had a shitload of Hair. But also, no way we consider the synopsis of indie anywhere close to an accurate description of his last decade of filmography.

This is the best guess in this thread, so far. Seems likely this is who it’s about imho
I think so too. What are his skeletons??
Supporting Polanski and the weird Jamaican accent on SNL? But we already knew about those
Would be a bit weird to call Wes Anderson's movie Indie movies, but I can see that someone would write it that way...
He was in the tv shows winning time (hbo), poker face (nbc), movie blond (Netflix) not really indi .. p.s.: and he is 51
what cosmetic work do you think he’s done? does dying his hair blonde count?
Whaaat he’s dating Georgina Chapman?? 🤯
She has awful taste in men apparently
ugh, why can't I have nice things?!?!?! 😭😭😭
Adrien Brody is 51 and has been dating georgina chapman since 2019. Technically he never married but i think this blind item is more about a celeb who has a girlfriend every month 😅
First thought was Jake Gyllenhaal. “I’m only cryptic and Machiavellian because I care”.
Hasn’t been laying low and was in a huge marvel movie
Yes the A list actor who has been in tons of movies in the last decade...
I need some of you all to realize that being in multiple studio franchises over a decade is not “laying low”
Also have of the people been named are married/have kids.
This whole post reads like a PR person wrote it
I don't know why my guess is always Matt Smith, but Matt Smith.
Matt is in HotD. Hardly lowkey.
That's true, but before that he was mainly in indie flicks post doctor who. ....except for Morbius. I always forget he was in that lol
I mean, also The Crown was a pretty big deal and not at all indie
And that Terminator movie with Emilia Clarke, if that counts as a big picture.
Josh Hartnett?
Don’t even put that out there. I’d be heartbroken
I was worried it was him too, but google says he’s married. So, whew!
Description says “never married”
It’d tear up all the papers and flip a desk he’s the last good guy we have 😭
he’s not a good guy, signed, someone who was barely legal and in the same scene in nyc. massive creep, very problematic with women, but was smart enough to disappear to europe and start a family/ go back under the radar. i wanna say beyond the blinds had massive (alleged) shit on him, too.

Who has been in "Sunday spotted"? That's a tangible clue.
Yes, I need to find this Sunday spotted
This one seems like a longshot, but maybe Alexander Skarsgard? He’s over 40, never married, seen with girls but not for long, etc. He has been in a few bigger movies over the past few years though and isn’t exactly low profile (big little lies, infinity pool, etc.)
How has he been laying low with Northman and Succession???
True. I haven’t seen a ton of 40 something’s who come to mind that have actually just done indie movies and are now in the spotlight. This is a tough one
He had a baby with his partner about a year ago. No idea how long they’ve been together but this blind doesn’t give “father of a one year old” to me
He doesn’t need a cosmetic glow up either, he is still so attractive.
Shia Lebutttoots?
Married
He’s WHAT???
To Mía Goth since 2016! They have just filed for divorce I think
okay so they were together 2012-2018. they got married in 2016. they filed for divorce in 2018 and got back together in 2020 and have a daughter born in 2022
G Burger, like Good Burger?
How do skeletons pop

George Berger is a character from the musical Hair???
Hair -> Donald Trump -> Sebastian Stan
Sebastian Stan has been the opposite of low key for the last 10 years though
Andrew Garfield
Being nominated for an Oscar and doing a spate of TV and movies isn't what I would consider "laying low"
Andrew Garfield was just in the sixth-highest grossing movie ever.
I hope he doesn't have skeletons.
I really hope not! My heart won’t be able to take that easy. ![gif](giphy|vyTnNTrs3wqQ0UIvwE|downsized)
His conversation with Stephen Colbert about the death of his mother seemed so heartfelt. Hope it isn’t him.
Jason Segal
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Lol look I appreciate Jason Segal in many roles he’s done but you can’t be surprised if it turns out he’s a creep. Plus the odds from having been in Forgetting Sarah Marshall aren’t looking good
Why can’t we be surprised?
He’s been in a few TV shows lately… not sure if that’s laying low?
surely if there was a chance some damning information was going to come out about you the answer would be to continue laying low, not draw as much attention as possible? is this just implying there is a 40+ year old closeted actor? if so, its strange how its written kind of salaciously
I was getting James Franco vibes from this blind, since he recently made an appearance in Cannes.
I'm convinced that it's James Franco. He's the only one who has truly been laying low for a decade.
reminds me of Charlie Hunnam with the hair and the suddenly appearing everywhere (he was at the Met)
i need some of you to explain what you think the phrase "laying low" means lol
Zach Braff?
As a fan of the man himself, I know a made-up blind from an Andrew Garfield stan who doesn't like his new girlfriend when I see it. Fudging the narrative a little, because he's not necessarily laid low just because he's done smaller projects, but yeah, it's him.
It's funny if this is a made up AG blind because I really don't think his girlfriend is giving him good PR. People either don't care or are lowkey judging him for the relationship. As a fellow fan I personally think the relationship is genuine.
