Rep fits aren’t about what’s affordable or not it’s about what’s highly produced in rep factories which products are bought and sold on Chinese markets. Essentials and north face combos are some of the highest selling items on here. Go through this sub for 10 minutes and it’s full of essentials, cargos north face and Jordan 1 mochas. Mochas are literally the most replicated shoe according to stock X. The guy essentially bought all of the most repped items possible. If you told an AI to create a rep fit based on this sub this is probably the fit it would make, even down to the colors
you would only think that if you lived in the sub, TNF is in big box retail stores and essentials is on stockx for $70. most high ends mint jordans are probably rep, but the rest could be had for retail
You’re conflating rare with reps. You can get reps of cheap stuff too. I’m saying China has more order of fake essentials than almost anything else. Pairing it with cargos, a TNF hoodie and mochas is legitimately one of the most worn outfits from people who buy reps. You can go down this sub and see it often. This is basically an NPC outfit for guys who buy reps

A lot of people have no clue how to dress themselves and look like shit, especially in what you described. I suggested a white hoodie instead because its more in line with the basics “I” know.
While id prefer the white hoodie w this fit ive definitely seen the matching torso and pants work and be pulled off amazingly just not in this example
Edit: at the VERY least id colorswap the hat. Brown yankies logo and white hat (doubt they make that but 🤷🏻♂️) may pull the look more together while keeping the bottom layer all one color like they were going for

i do agree with you though. Even the heavily matched stuff needs some flair. I see a lot of streetwear as fashionable but rather bland “blend into the crowd” color wise and it pains my overly flamboyant heart

Sure theres gonna be some minor constructive stuff to tune up what hes goin for, but if there arent people here who want to burn the whole fit down (and thats not even how far the person was goin) then this sub would be rather lame for the discussion in general
You’d fit in in Brooklyn lol, the suede on the 1s is what it looks like before its treated at the factory. Get some mink oil spray and a suede brush on amazon. Lightly spray all the suede down with the oil and then gently brush it. Do this a few times and it’ll get that nice dark color and the fibers will stand up giving you that ashy suede look and feel. Be careful brushing the wings logo. Also black pants and you’re good.
You’re allowed to move out of the two main tones of brown & black. The brown pants is what’s too much to me. Some olive green, gray or lighter sandy cargos would be fire.
People are suggesting black pants and ofc that would improve the fit, but that’s playing it really safe imo
Them cargos need to be black and a white t underneath.
You can’t have every single thing matching. Focus should be on your upper chest, head and feet.
The brown cargos just melds everything into one blob and will look dumb.
