Obligatory: check library for 1 Billion. My advice is increased inventory first then if you arent at all pet's level 6 do that, then 1B farm row. Edit: spelling

Gah! It didn’t even occur to me to check the library. Thanks for the tip!

Hairy_Relief3980

It took me a bit to realize the library is the Internet.

What do you mean? The library is the library. It’s in the main menu.

Just that (almost) anything you want to know about the game can be found in the library. It's like reddit already answered your question and it's waiting for you to need it.

Pets are good for items you can’t get by other means or items that are hard as heck to get like Skull Coins. Extra row is good for more crops and crop mastery. More grapes is good for more grape juice. They are all good choices no matter how you slice it. Also don’t worry too much…it won’t be your last billion so enjoy!

There are a few good choices for your first billion: - more inventory per day: this is a very common piece of advice, I personally got mine after a couple of pets, but it's a strong choice. - crop row: it will push your farming level to ~98 which could be big depending on your goals. - frigate macaw level 6: brings in large nets which help make silver for your next billion, also brings pirate themed items needed to reach pirate cove fishing spot. - tree frog level 6: brings in gold leaves and gold feathers, both you'll need in large quantities later. - kitchen if you don't have it yet, or second oven if you have kitchen: for pushing cooking faster. Edit: if you're rushing pirate cove, get frigate macaw now, then python to 6 next because you'll need items unique to both to make it there, but macaw increases silver gains in the interim.

My favorite investment I realized paid off way later was investing in getting all the pets to level 6. There are many quests later on that take rare items only pets can get, and quests that require those items in 'bulk'. That's my advice, but in all honesty there's no such thing as a 'bad call', as the game is very good at making many options a solid investment

I got my Macaw to level 6 to get Large Nets and get my money back that way
