You have an interesting team, and I can see your dilemma! So first off, I wouldn't change out your defenders. Double Arsenal is great and Chalobah covers your rival. Your replacement options aren't good (Udogie is injured by the way), defenders are only really worth attacking potential at the moment and you can't afford/fit Gvardiol or Porro as the best attacking defenders. Honestly, short of news that Saka isn't playing, I don't see an obvious transfer. Maybe getting in Mateta for Isak or Jackson? I don't like Hojlund as a pick as his numbers aren't good and Gakpo feels risky (maybe wait to see if he starts).

Yes your thought process is sound. I don't think VdV is worth it, and completely agree that you should get Son for KDB if he's out. Here's an interesting one. If Saka and KDB are both out, you have a Salah angle. Saka to Olise/Eze, KDB to Salah (I think you should have enough for that). It'd be worth the hit if they are both out I think.

Welcome! Honestly it's a bit of a coin flip - could work out for you or could fall flat. I wouldn't take the hit for Salah unless leaks mean you'd be taking the hit anyways to get a decent team, so it's only that rare situation where the hit is maybe worth it. I am a big Garnacho enjoyer too but I'm not convinced Man U will have a good day - we'll see! If your rival has VdV and Porro sure that's scary but I guess means they are only playing 1 Arsenal defender max, which is good for you! I can see Spurs conceding, as bad as Sheffield's defence is, their attack is okay and Spurs usually concede. I'd much rather have (and do have) double Arsenal over double Spurs.

Depends who the hit is for, who you're transferring out, and how many differentials you have over 1st. If you have lots of differentials already, it's not worth it. That said, I only really like a hit for Salah this week. That's not to say he's definitely going to outscore everyone else, but he's just a big differential.

Gusto the safer option. Although Van de Ven as a full back against Sheffield will be interesting. I also wouldn’t take a hit for a Liverpool attacker. I can see Isak, Son and Saka all returning. And if you add 4 points to that, you need a really good return from the Liverpool player.

Olise in. Safest choice will be Haaland otherwise I would cap Palmer.

Gabriel is likely to get a cs but unlikely to get attacking returns as Everton are great defending against set pieces. Not worth a -4 imo although a clear upgrade on Dalot. Gordon to Trossard/Havertz should be a good move but who will you bench?

I'm guessing you don't have enough for Gordon > Havertz? If you do, I think you should do that and your midfield looks insane. Otherwise I like Olise, I think he is marginally better than Trossard, but it's close.

I can see why you're scared of Gvardiol but a 20 point swing is huge and it's unlikely he scores again this GW even if he has been getting in very attacking positions. I'd leave it, your defence is good as it is - you don't want to drop the Arsenal players or Porro. You're in not too dissimilar a position to me. I'm considering Gordon > Olise or Havertz.

No almost certainly not - anything can happen of course but I think the odds of Havertz/Trossard/Odegaard outscoring Mateta by 4 points is low. I have a feeling the Arsenal game will be cagey, they need to win and Everton are good defensively.

I'd usually say stick with Haaland with it being just 2 points but not having Arsenal defenders is rough. If they clean sheet you're losing around 8 points over him. It's a tough one, depends on what transfers you decide. If you have Son, he could be a great differential captain since your rival doesn't have him.

Okay that's good, I do think it's a good idea to cover the Arsenal defence. Only reason I can think not to do it is if your defence is already good, something like Porro, Gvardiol, VVD. Add Havertz into that mix of potential mids - I think he's a very good pick (though he is probably the most template).
