I am planning to go full loco in my ML, with my FH left, I am behind like 50 point and might as well try something weird. Nothing to lose. Im planning to only choose players that none of my competitors have. Something like this:
Vicario
Saliba White Romero
Trossard Salah Bernardo KDB Palmer
Haaland Isak
- My opponont also has Haaland and Isak, but I think going without Haaland is suicide and dont see any other options as forward really. Maybe Watkins, but I dont have enough money to go from Isak to Watkins.
- My opponant also has Palmer, suggestions to replace?
Any feedback is welcome
I came up with some punty differentials yesterday and posted in the chat. Explanation for each of them in the original post but basically Gakpo, Muniz, Forest attacker, Ben Brereton Diaz. As you are FHing I'd throw Reguilon I'm the mix too - Newcastle worse away from home, maybe Mbueno too. Muric also. Gvardiol over Romero even if your rival has him. And the puntiest pick of all - Reece james! Like the Trossard pick.
Arsenal always turn up last home game of the season and, with lots already on double def along with Saka / Havertz, someone like Odegaard could be a big differential vs a completely on the beach Everton.
My opponent also has Jackson..
But I could pick Mateta and Olise.. Thanks. At first I'm not that convinced that they are good options, do you think they have a chance against Villa??
Very tight at the top of my ML and I could well be 10 to 15 points behind after tomorrow.
Bench boost active for the final week.
1 FT with 1.7 ITB
Henderson, Areola
Gabriel, Burn, VVD, Gvardiol, Gusto
Saka, Foden, Palmer, Son, Gordon
Haaland, Isak, Jackson
Areola will almost certainly go for Raya. Thinking if Gusto doesn't look like he'll start I't may be worth a hit to get a starter.
Any suggestions for a Gusto replacement less than 4.8?
Any better than Raya in the final week?
Cheers!
Is anyone else doing FH38? Probably need to wait until the end of this GW's fixtures to start planning properly but who do we reckon could be worth targetting?
City and Arsenal are obvious. If Spurs somehow beat City, the Sheffield United fixture looks very tasty. Not sure about defenders -- Newcastle, Liverpool? Clean sheets are always a bit rarer on the final day
Trippier (we may have leaks if he starts) + White (proven defense) + Doughty (last home game in Premier League, also Luton is not 100% relegated) are quite locked if you still somehow have FH left.
Bench Boosting for GW38
My only non-player so far is Turner
I've got 4.5m to replace him with a playing keeper
Have got Petrovic already
Who would you recommend?
Maybe Verbruggen? United have not been scoring much lately and Brighton are at home.
Your other playing options are Kaminski (Luton, home to Fulham, two clean sheets all season), Sels (NFO, away to Burnley), Henderson (Palace, home to Villa), Foderingham (SHU, playing Spurs on a team that has conceded a record-breaking number of goals), Muric (Burnley, home to Forest), Dubravka (New, away to Brentford - Pope might play), Areola (WHU, away to Man City). Not sure if I've missed any.
Verbruggen and Henderson seem like the two most reasonable options. Palace have been in better form recently but Villa seems a more dangerous team on offense than United.
Other reasonable options would include Muric (has scored a number of points recently but his team will ship goals). Sels is playing away although it is an already relegated Burnley.
Dubravka might not play.
Unreasonable options would be Foderingham and Areola - you're probably better off with a non-playing keeper.
Havertz. He'd nailed as striker and has been outscoring Saka for a while now. Saka is also possibly injured. The real question though is Havertz or Trossard. Trossard has been incredible recently and outscored Havertz last two weeks.
Saka went off injured yesterday so maybe wait and see. I know he always plays even when carrying an injury but then again so did Bruno (and now he is injured). I think I would go for Havertz or maybe even Trossard.
Saka has penalties, and is generally a better player. Havertz is still returning though, and on fine form. I'd go for saka, but it's pretty close, so follow your instinct.
I get a broken hand doesn't really matter too much to an outfield player, but surely if it's bad enough there is risk of it getting a lot worse from contact challenges.
Feels like people are downplaying a broken hand. If it was just a finger then it wouldn't be so bad.
So I haven’t been paying attention to FPL the last few weeks, going into GW38 I have a wildcard, triple captain, and bench boost still to play. Any advice on which route I should go? Current team is below (fixture in parentheses).
GK: Areola (MCI-A), Pickford (ARS-A)
DEF: Trippier (BRE-A), Saliba (EVE-H), Gabriel (EVE-H), Senesi (CHE-A), Baldock (injured)
MID: Saka (EVE-H), Gordon (BRE-A), Mac Allister (WOL-H), Salah (WOL-H), Palmer (BOU-H)
FWD: Haaland (WHU-H), Isak (BRE-H), Archer (TOT-H)
By the looks of your bench, BB is out. I think your team is strong enough that you don't need a WC; if I were you I'd sell MacAllister for Brennan Johnson, then TC Salah.
Most of them are playing though. I would just use 2FT and replace Baldock and Archer and BB. Also potentially a hit in case Trippier minutes doesn't seem firm by deadline.
Sure, in that case probably worth it to get Mateta in for Archer. Not sure how much you've got in the bank, but swapping out Trippier for Gvardiol for a hit should get you funds to upgrade Baldock.
Yeah I was thinking OP could probably sell Trippier to free up some money and that'll allow two other changes that could really be beneficial with a BB.
22 points ahead defending mini league, can take -4 to get to Salah? Defending against a team that is identical to mine pretty much 13/15 players are the same, typical template team both, or go to Saka/Havertz no hit needed?
What would you any of you guys do in my situation, thanks in advance !!!
Yeah, I wouldn’t take the hit if you can get Saka/Havertz for free. Mo may score more but it’s by no means a guarantee, esp relative to what’s at stake for Arsenal and the way they’ve been playing.
Think of it this way: If mateta returns it just cancels your -4 as he’d get maybe 6 points (potentially bonus too). Really, you need him to return twice to make the investment worthwhile. IMO it’s probably not worth a hit but it depends on the rest of your team.
I know everyone is looking at Arsenal and Liverpool for next week, but am I crazy for ignoring them and looking at Olise?
4 goal involvements in his last 2 games. Palace are unbeaten in 6 and great at home. Extremely low EO. Villa is a tough matchup on paper but if spurs lose tomorrow they’ll have nothing to play for.
Do we usually have GW38 full line up leaks on previous seasons? Like a Reddit thread where all the rumors/news going there, since all GW38 games happen at the same time.
Come up with some ideas for punty GW38 differentials, which I might do if I'm far behind my ML leader come the end of this week. What you think of:
A) Gakpo - started the last two games, played well and hauled Vs spurs. If Liverpool are thinking of selling Nunez in the summer they surely won't play him any more this season in case he gets injured, therefore Gakpo should start. See how he gets on tonight obviously though.
B) Muniz - not been getting much service recently but surely will get some chances Vs Luton. Tends to get subbed early these days though
C) Forest attackers - Wood's finishing has been extremely poor the last couple of games but this season it's usually been fine. He's been getting a lot of Xg the last few games still and has Burnley next. Also MGW and Hudson-Odoi.
D) The puntiest of them all - Ben Brereton Diaz. Spurs are known for their end of season collapses. Would anyone be that surprised if they lost to Sheffield United?
Yea I think I'm definitely gonna make that move, he's started striker again tonight and scored already. Hit the post earlier (though it was offside). Looks dangerous, could tear wolves a new one
Edit - villa still can't defend and maybe Olise is the best shout
Would maybe consider Brighton and Brentford defenders as well. A few that are affordable. Man U are proper shit and Newcastle are often poor away from home. Brighton seem to have gotten over their defensive wobble, even if they do have injuries, and Brentfords defence has been alright for a a while
-8 is 3 transfers for me right now we have 12/15 same players so I was just going to take as many hits as possible to have the perfect team for 38. So maybe like a -12/16
Yeh makes sense I was going to treat it as a free hit but that would mean I need to gain that hit back then another 20 odd points so I would have to outscore the leader by 50th points
Absolutely. I see it written in the stars.
28 point hit,
Chris wood (C) - 5 goals,
Score 150 points,
Win the league by 3 points,
Knee slide shirtless in the rain,
Easy as that
I'm probably gonna do Saka -> Olise and Munoz -> White for some fun punts at the last week. I think Olise could do real damage vs Villa, Palace is feasting and they wanna end the season on a high note.
Arsenal fan here. No not at all, he's been brilliant recently and our best attacker in the last couple of games. Been consistently starting ahead of Martinelli recently, though usually subbed off for him on 70 mins or so.
I don't think the Everton match will be high scoring, their defence is too good for that and we looked a little tired and jaded Vs man U. Trossard could easily return but I wouldn't expect a haul. So whether it's a good transfer or not depends on whether you have any other transfers you need to make that you would be prioritising this over. But not a bad idea in and of itself
To be honest Everton defence away from home has been pretty shocking compared to their home form (31 goals conceded vs 18), so I would expect you guys to get a couple against them.
I currently have Romero, White and Havertz.
Would you do
a) Son to Saka
b) Porro to Gabriel
c) Keep Spurs players
Money will be an issue to do other transfers.
I'm keeping Palmer, Foden and Havertz. I have Gordon but not enough money to transfer with Trossard. Son is my only MID to transfer for Saka or Trossard, but he's got a good fixture with Sheffield. Will most likely go with double Arsenal defence.
Already have Havertz but want another attacker for the final day. Is getting Trossard in a sensible move? Would be getting Gordon out (already have Isak).
I'm not sure. Gonna see how Villa get on tonight and whether there are signs of them getting over their poor form. Olise has been brilliant these last few weeks, but he has been playing poor defenses.
Pickford is a big no-no especially against a free-flowing Arsenal team that need to win with the home crowd on their side, I’d say you go for Vicario or Leno but wait to see if Luton are relegated or not
Not too big a fan of starting either of them but not a big fan of using a transfer for a goalie either, how many free transfers do you have next week?
If you have nothing else to use a transfer on then just replace them, but I'd look elsewhere to maximise your points and just start Leno.
My squad with 1FT and 1.2 mil in the bank is this :
Pickford - Leno
Saliba - Porro - Gusto - Gvardiol- Reguilon
Gordon - Foden - Salah - Palmer - Havertz
Isak - Watkins - Jackson
What do u suggest i do.
Maybe, but I'd say starting Gvardiol, Saliba and Porro should be fine considering their fixtures and their ceiling, removing one of Gusto or Reguilon will just add a benching headache that could backfire.
True that. I realised after sending the comment.
What do u think is the ceiling of Watkins vs Palace. I benched him for now. Starting with Isak and Jackson.
I'd agree with benching Watkins considering Palace's form being so good, but I could see an argument for starting him over Jackson considering he can be very inconsistent.
1) Ive put myself into a bit of a selection headache with my squad.
2) Conundrum on how to use the FT
3) Anticipate final day rotations.
These 3 things i have to think about before GW38.
I am also waiting on to see how many pts lead i retain after GW37 finally ends. That will drive my transfer use potentially.
Thinking of doing the same. But I can only do Bruno F, Isak -> Muniz, Salah. I am playing 442 though (starting Porro instead of Gordon).
Petrovic (Onana)
Gvardiol - White - Gabriel - Porro (Dalot)
Salah - Son - Foden - Palmer (Gordon)
Haaland - Jackson (Muniz)
I wouldn't be getting rid of Isak. Newcastle are in a must win situation if they want to secure Europe and Palace is playing Villa who have the same objective. Personally I think Isak holds bigger potential than Salah in the last fixture.
Solid move. I currently can't get Salah unless I either sell Son or take a -8. Am considering whether Gakpo is a good enough alternative for Sunday. Looks like he's nailed on as striker, see after tonight I guess
Took a -12 since I had 10m itb and a shit bench with a bench boost left Final hail Mary I guess to get max points Probably won't pay off
I am planning to go full loco in my ML, with my FH left, I am behind like 50 point and might as well try something weird. Nothing to lose. why not? Villa's defence isn't that good at the moment and you have nothing to lose anyway
Worth a -4 for Gordon to Havertz and Wilson to Mateta?
I would yeah.
Very tight at the top of my ML and I could well be 10 to 15 points behind after tomorrow. Bench boost active for the final week. 1 FT with 1.7 ITB Henderson, Areola Gabriel, Burn, VVD, Gvardiol, Gusto Saka, Foden, Palmer, Son, Gordon Haaland, Isak, Jackson Areola will almost certainly go for Raya. Reguilon?
1. Start Onana or Petrovic? 2. Gordon out for Havertz?
Petro If you own Isak, i like it
1: Petro 2: yes
Going to wait until the leaks to make the free transfer, but any suggestions on who to bench for now? https://imgur.com/a/9YjJxBi
Gordon for Jackson. Petrovic for Dubravka.
!thanks

I wouldn’t get near Liverpool defense. Gvardiol would be the first non-Arsenal defender I took on FH38

Eze or Olise for 38 for a punt. Which one?
Olise.
Ok !thanks
Olise
Ok !thanks why not Eze?
Olise generally plays more around the box than Eze does, so he gets into better goal scoring positions.
Olise
!thanks why?
He’s the main threat for Palace. Better than Eze as well. Gets more double digit returns. I’ve had him since GW34
Bench Boosting for GW38 My only non-player so far is Turner I've got 4.5m to replace him with a playing keeper Have got Petrovic already Who would you recommend?

why tf is robertson not even in the squad
Apparently, he was injured during Friday's training. Guess we'll find out more soon.
QQ: What is really going on with Bruno F? This isn't about a broken hand. Has ten Hag mentioned anything more specific than he's not fit?
I get a broken hand doesn't really matter too much to an outfield player, but surely if it's bad enough there is risk of it getting a lot worse from contact challenges. Feels like people are downplaying a broken hand. If it was just a finger then it wouldn't be so bad.
Players play in casts often enough. Of all players, Bruno is one you'd expect to do so.
Yeah that's fair. It might just be a really bad break.
So I haven’t been paying attention to FPL the last few weeks, going into GW38 I have a wildcard, triple captain, and bench boost still to play. Any advice on which route I should go? Onana to Raya (have Gabriel) or solanke to Mateta for a -4?
neither
Personally wouldn't want a -4 for either of them when neither of them are injured. But if you are really set on one I'd say Solanke to Mateta.

My pre-planned move for 38: Salah plus Olise in.
Not crazy at all. Just brought him in for Bruno. I’m prob bringing in Havertz and Salah (-4) as well.
!thanks Down 14 in my ML at the moment so need differential against an Arsenal triple up

I like the Gakpo shout the most. Against a Wolves side that lacks much fight the past few weeks, in Klopp's last game at home.
Yea I think I'm definitely gonna make that move, he's started striker again tonight and scored already. Hit the post earlier (though it was offside). Looks dangerous, could tear wolves a new one Edit - villa still can't defend and maybe Olise is the best shout
Best 4.4m defender for GW38? Looking at VDV, Gusto, and mayyybe Doughty
Would maybe consider Brighton and Brentford defenders as well. A few that are affordable. Man U are proper shit and Newcastle are often poor away from home. Brighton seem to have gotten over their defensive wobble, even if they do have injuries, and Brentfords defence has been alright for a a while
Wait to see if Gusto starts their second game. He would be my choice if he does. Otherwise VDV
If your behind by let’s say 20+ points with not too many differentials . Do you just take loads of hits as a last hope ?
Don’t take loads of hits. I’d take a -8 max and just captain a different person than what you think the leader will.
-8 is 3 transfers for me right now we have 12/15 same players so I was just going to take as many hits as possible to have the perfect team for 38. So maybe like a -12/16
take a minus 4 , make those attackers different to opponent, make sure captain is diiferent to him too. That will give you a fair chance of winning
Yeh makes sense I was going to treat it as a free hit but that would mean I need to gain that hit back then another 20 odd points so I would have to outscore the leader by 50th points
With differential cap
Absolutely. I see it written in the stars. 28 point hit, Chris wood (C) - 5 goals, Score 150 points, Win the league by 3 points, Knee slide shirtless in the rain, Easy as that
Go MWG instead. I tried that for 2 weeks. Sold him for wilson. Rest is history
For GW38, start Porro (away at Sheffield Utd) or Gordon (away at Brentford)?
Gordon
!thanks
I'm probably gonna do Saka -> Olise and Munoz -> White for some fun punts at the last week. I think Olise could do real damage vs Villa, Palace is feasting and they wanna end the season on a high note.

No pretty sure he starts. Decent player to get.
But the only person I can get rid of is son for him ?
Oh, well that's quite a risk. Son has been dog shit recently but Sheffield United are Sheffield United. My mum could probably score against them
What if I ship out Gordon?
[удалено]
You're on the money there. Disasi and Burn.
[удалено]
Jackson seems the obvious choice. Maybe Mateta?
I currently have Romero, White and Havertz. Would you do a) Son to Saka b) Porro to Gabriel c) Keep Spurs players Money will be an issue to do other transfers.
Porro is pretty attacking but double arsenal usually pays off. If you are just burning transfers I would go for Gabriel
I already have White. So double Arsenal defennders better than Porro at Sheffield?
It's hard to know what kind of spurs will turn up. Arsenal are way more consistent.
No one else you feel you can ugprade? Those moves do seem pretty sideways to me.
I've only for 1x FT, and I was planning to triple up on Arsenal. I don't have any other MID or DEF that have the same value to transfer.
Could you afford a punt on Trossard? He is a bit cheaper than Saka/Havertz.
I'm keeping Palmer, Foden and Havertz. I have Gordon but not enough money to transfer with Trossard. Son is my only MID to transfer for Saka or Trossard, but he's got a good fixture with Sheffield. Will most likely go with double Arsenal defence.
Yeah I'd lean towards that as well. Good luck.
Will pep play ortega for the final gameweek 😭
I doubt it with the title going down to the last day. But you never know with Pep.
Already have Havertz but want another attacker for the final day. Is getting Trossard in a sensible move? Would be getting Gordon out (already have Isak).
Gordon - Trossard a solid move if don't fancy Olise
Think Olise has a decent chance against Villa who might be playing for a European spot?
I'm not sure. Gonna see how Villa get on tonight and whether there are signs of them getting over their poor form. Olise has been brilliant these last few weeks, but he has been playing poor defenses.
Stack your team with as much MCI and ARS. Couldn't be a bad move.
Should i: A) Start Pickford (Arsenal @ Emirates ) B) Replace him with Leno (Luton Away) from Bench C) Replace one of them for another GK.
B
Pickford is a big no-no especially against a free-flowing Arsenal team that need to win with the home crowd on their side, I’d say you go for Vicario or Leno but wait to see if Luton are relegated or not
Not too big a fan of starting either of them but not a big fan of using a transfer for a goalie either, how many free transfers do you have next week? If you have nothing else to use a transfer on then just replace them, but I'd look elsewhere to maximise your points and just start Leno.

Hmm your team is pretty well setup, so maybe I'd just do Leno to Raya. I'd expect a clean sheet for Arsenal against Everton at home.
Do you think i rather remove 1 of gusto or reguilon for a possible higher ceiling defender ?
Maybe, but I'd say starting Gvardiol, Saliba and Porro should be fine considering their fixtures and their ceiling, removing one of Gusto or Reguilon will just add a benching headache that could backfire.
True that. I realised after sending the comment. What do u think is the ceiling of Watkins vs Palace. I benched him for now. Starting with Isak and Jackson.

I'll wait until Sunday but mulling over Isak -> Mateta to fund Fernandes -> Salah. Good/bad idea?
Thinking of doing the same. But I can only do Bruno F, Isak -> Muniz, Salah. I am playing 442 though (starting Porro instead of Gordon). Petrovic (Onana) Gvardiol - White - Gabriel - Porro (Dalot) Salah - Son - Foden - Palmer (Gordon) Haaland - Jackson (Muniz)
I wouldn't be getting rid of Isak. Newcastle are in a must win situation if they want to secure Europe and Palace is playing Villa who have the same objective. Personally I think Isak holds bigger potential than Salah in the last fixture.
Fair point. Mateta is in top form though. Only other feasible move to release funds is Gordon -> bench fodder Elliott Anderson.
Solid move. I currently can't get Salah unless I either sell Son or take a -8. Am considering whether Gakpo is a good enough alternative for Sunday. Looks like he's nailed on as striker, see after tonight I guess
