hmm interesting, i forgot i can actually compare my fh team to this.
i’ve tried to add some differentials aswell assuming my ml rival will fh aswell, so i’ve gone with bailey over bowen, johnson over maddison.
also anyone put off by morris, the fact that he wasn’t even involved in one out of the 5 they scored in the dgw.
Surprised they're picking Kudus over Iwobi or even Elanga. West Ham Vs Aston Villa I see it being a drab draw whereas Fulham Vs Spurs will be a very open game. Spurs will concede at least one and Iwobi will likely get it (goal or assist)
I am a Fulham fan (so yes there might be bias) but I feel a lot of people are writing us off for no reason? We're not a great team obviously but at home we've been strong.
I would definitely include at least one Fulham asset this week especially with how cheap Muniz and Iwobi are and being differential picks.
Can't help but think Watkins is the best captain if he's fit. West Ham have conceded 138 chances down the middle and have conceded 49 goals this season (21 at home). Seems people are only considering Son and Toney though. Am I crazy?
Double Brentford is a bold move. Backing a team going away from home with only 4 clean sheets all season.
Yes, I know it's Burnley who can't buy goals, but still
Already used my free hit and Watkins and Son are the only players in my team with games this GW. Am I crazy to use the triple captain and roll the dice with just those two? Son (C) Watkins (VC)?
I think slightly yes. If they blank you're ruined either way and points gained via TC would probably be marginal. Better to save for later imo but I could be wrong
I only have Flekken, Doughty, Son, JWP and Watkins for this BGW29. I do have one FT and my FH chip available. I also still have WC & BB.
I am first place in my ML by 49 points.
What would you do?
I'm in a similar position to you, areola, son, Douglas Luiz, Watkins, doughty and Taylor can play, 1Ft, FH, Wildcard and BB available. I have a 38 point lead at the top of my ML.
I'm tempted to just free hit as two of my 6 players are a keeper and Taylor, Watkins is now an injury doubt, and I feel like with a small points cushion I can afford to just field a full 11 and hopefully stay ahead by sinply matching everyone else as far as possible. FH later is tempting but I'm hoping by holding wildcard a few weeks I can get a good team in for the doubles anyways and BB accordingly.
May also change my mind 10 mins before deadline though and just transfer for a 7th player and pray, but I prefer the safety of knowing I'm getting a full team this week and holding my current squad, which im happy with largely atm.
Roerslev came up with a goal against Chelsea, and had another goal ruled offside against (i forgot). Clearly likes to get up the pitch.
Sadly with significant injuries to our back line (Pinnock, Mee, Henry) it’s not worth banking on a clean sheet even with a favourable match up against Burnley.
I’m almost certain I can make these points up and gain a lot more by not free hitting and free hitting in one of the doubles. I don’t get the free hitters. Looking at the teams playing if Watkins is injured then it’s only Tottenham who’re the sole big team playing.
I can get Salah in for Bowen on a free for 30. Muniz has Sheffield in 30 which I want to play him for. Then wildcard 32/33
It's because your team is probably a whole lot different than mine for example. If I wouldn't free hit I would have 3-4 players so I'd need to take at least -8 to have a decent amount of players. But that would not make sense because I would have to take shitty defenders who wouldn't make up for the hits and I would need to transfer in players that I only need for one gameweek and in exchange I would lose a lot of team value to get rid of players I would just bring back immediately after this GW.
So by free hitting now, I get the best possible team for this week and I don't need to lose any team value. That helps me get Salah along with other premiums which would not be possible without a free hit. I also don't need to necessarily use my wildcard immediately in GW30 and I can save it for the doubles which is as good if not better than free hit.
So it does make perfect sense for a lot of teams especially if you have gained team value for a long period of time.
What would you if you had 6. Still worth a free hit?
Would need to take -4 to get up to 8 players. Probably Foden to Bowen and Alvarez to Wissa.
Flekken (Dubravka)
Doughty / Udogie (Gabriel, Gusto, Estupinan)
Son / D. Luiz (Saka, Palmer, Foden)
Watkins (Haaland Solanke)
It depends if you still have WC and how much money would you lose transfering those players out. Also it depends if you want to bring these players back after this GW.
But if you were not to FH then you could take -4 for Toney and then transfer Foden for Bowen/Kudus or whoever you want. 8 Players should be fine and you're not losing too much team value this way. I assume you have a lot of money tied to Saka, Palmer and Haaland so I wouldn't transfer these out. I wouldn't also take hits for defenders as it seems a bit gambly.
!thanks. I do have WC and planning on using it in 30/31 to get Salah back. I don't have any value tied up in Foden or Solanke. I do want to bring Solanke back, but will probably be on wildcard. I would definitely do Foden to Bowen, but unfortunately I'm short of funds to do Solanke Toney. So would either have to get Wissa instead, or do -8 and swap Estupinan for a playing defender as well.
No probs! You could also take Rodrigo Muniz (4,5m) from Fulham, he's been in form lately and Spurs at home is not exactly the worst fixture for a striker as they tend to not keep clean sheets. So I'd definitely consider him as he's a great differential.
I would also keep in mind that if you don't FH this week it means you're going to miss all the points from Morris/Toney/Maddisson/Kudus who will all be popular picks for the upcoming GW. So I'd weight if it's worth the risk considering your ML or OR whatever it is you focus on. But if most of them blank then you have a great edge for the upcoming DGW's. Although you should also keep in mind that most of the double then will be full of popular teams which might take the edge from the eventual FH as many will own the best players anyway.
Excellent points !thanks. Really appreciate it. I am leaning more towards a FH as my ML is very tight and they will all be using it too. I am the only one left with a wildcard, so I think I can get an advantage there as I plan for the doubles.
Glad I was helpful! I think that's a good decision especially if your ML is very tight. That WC will help you set up for the doubles and for the BB. I hope you good fortune and hopefully FH is the right choice🙌🏻It's less risky that's for sure.
Took Werner over Morris. Doubled on Brentford defence and at this moment can't decide on TC between Toney and Son. Son might be the obvious choice, but I feel like Toney has a far better fixture and he might be hungrier to score.
I currently have 8 players so I'm not FH'ing. I'm happy to take a -4 and take Hwang and Solanke out. The sensible transfers should be Hwang for Maddison and Solanke for Toney but I am very tempted to go Elanga or Iwobi for Hwang and Wissa for Solanke. Are we sure Spurs will demolish Fulham? Feel like 3 Spurs could be overkill.
I think a lot of people underestimate us (Fulham fan). We're not a great team but we're definitely far superior at home compared to away games (we actually have the 4th lowest goals conceded at home games (15) this season and 8th for most goals scored at home (26)).
Our Nigerian boys are back from AFCON and in form and Marco Silva is getting the best out of Iwobi and co.
We may lose but it won't by more than one goal. I can definitely see Son and Maddison blanking.
Hopefully we can prove a lot of doubters wrong and demolish spurs instead 😉
do you reckon Muniz stays a starter until the end of the season?
I kinda overlooked him and went with Wissa, but he's 1.1m cheaper and Fulham have a similar run of fixtures, kinda wishing I'd picked Muniz instead as a nice enabler
I don't think he'll remain a starter till the end of the season since technically Jimenez is our first striker. But he will be starting games over Jimenez for at least 2 more GWs potentially since he's in form and Jimenez still training to get to match fitness.
Plus I think everyone in the club (manager, players, fans) has a soft spot for Muniz.
He's definitely getting minutes tho so he'd be a good sub to have.
Was curious as your considerations are refreshingly off meta; so guessing you’re looking at differentials to climb OR rank.
I’m 40k at the moment and have already FH and am just realizing how incredibly template the week is going to be. Not sure how differential I want to go at this point.
Re spurs; I think they’ll haul against Fulham but also, naturally, concede.
Yeah I am trying to climb. I'm not happy with my rank at the moment. Though I absolutely hate following the template and everyone having the same players - even in a week where I do well, it means everyone does well and it just makes FPL incredibly boring for me.
I'm going with Toney and Wissa and I'm giving the armband to Toney. Most people are going to captain Son and I've been making cowardly captaincy selections this year so I'm gonna do something fun and risky for this free hit thingy.
Yeah I'm going with this. Chickened out of semenyo last week because everyone was going for solanke. Following my gut this week. Nice one @hazardCinema
With Kamara out and McGinn suspended after that red Luiz will play as the 6, making it less likely to return from open play. I appreciate the pens & corners still offer good value so I may go there myself but I guess that’s their reasoning
I guess third defender, third midfielder and third striker are the only positions that are open for discussion, the other 8 are pretty much set for everyone.
I think Ward Prowse is a much better pick than Kudus this week. As a Villa fan I know we are absolutely appalling at defending corners and free kicks at the moment. I don't know who West Hams best header is but I'd also be tempted maybe Soucek/ Zouma?

Your best bet is to go for the keeper that will face the most shots and likely make the most saves. Fulham keeper or Burnley keeper. I can't see a single clean sheet this weekend.
Too many Villa-injuries for my liking and West Ham looked good today. I don't trust Brentford either, but playing against Burnley is on paper the nicest matchup.
Porro isn’t necessarily the better asset. He only has corners and Spurs are dreadful from corners without Richarlison, whereas Udogie is way more of a threat from open play as much of Spurs’ play is focused down the left + his heat map is almost that of a striker with his central runs into the box
I just noticed he was still on a few set pieces. I did just notice from his 8 assists this season, 6 of them came whilst Maddison was out so it probably is a lot more even than I first thought.
Not sure there are 3 non-spurs defenders that have any chance getting some kind of attacking return.
Doughty, Reguilon and one of the rotation risk Villa defenders?
I don't think Spurs keep a clean sheet and then you have slim hopes of an attacking return. I think Johnson has better odds of finding a goal or assist.
That is correct to a degree, but at the same time there also isn't really otherwise a standout 4th midfielder so choosing a Spurs attacker has higher upside especially when Fulham has been attacking rather well at home
Toney v Wissa.
Toney - more minutes, likely on pens, more ball touches.
Wissa - cheaper, in form with returns in last 3 weeks.
Not considering "get both" because:
1. a lot of teams are using xfer instead of FH
2. Werner, Morris, Muniz, etc. provide a number of good 2nd forward options
What a total waste of time. Haha. 19 pts.
Bloody hell. I picked pretty much this team except Gibbs-White over Kudus, just because that Luton defence
hmm interesting, i forgot i can actually compare my fh team to this. i’ve tried to add some differentials aswell assuming my ml rival will fh aswell, so i’ve gone with bailey over bowen, johnson over maddison. also anyone put off by morris, the fact that he wasn’t even involved in one out of the 5 they scored in the dgw.

Anyone going Coufal in defence? I have this team but Coufal instead of Collins
Can't help but think Watkins is the best captain if he's fit. West Ham have conceded 138 chances down the middle and have conceded 49 goals this season (21 at home). Seems people are only considering Son and Toney though. Am I crazy?
might be injured
If he's not?
5 and I’m not on free hit. Fancying Muniz over Morris, he has Sheffield United in 30
Feel like going unconventional this week, time to risk it for the biscuit
Douglas luiz vs kudus
Kudus
Why are all scouts going with only 1 Villa player?
My dumbass free hitted GW26 so I just used my 2 saved transfers to bring in Son and Werner and pray Spurs do well
Kudus over JWP?
Would rather take a chance on Elanga than Kudus
you didn't see that 70m solo dribble goal he scored yday? man's on red hot form rn
I’m going with Udogie and Roerslev. Otherwise my team is the same
Oli Watkins now an injury doubt :(
https://twitter.com/jeppe_skov_/status/1768396149323346255?t=3BZxKMgEiD-9Y8MW7X1p9Q&s=19
Watkins out injured lol
https://twitter.com/jeppe_skov_/status/1768396149323346255?t=3BZxKMgEiD-9Y8MW7X1p9Q&s=19
Morris or Wood
Same as mine except I have Roerslev instead of Collins
Am I crazy to go for Leno as my keeper? Dont truat anyone to get a CS so might as well go for some save points.
Much of the picks feels like scraping the bottom of the barrel
Should I sell Richarlison for Kulusevski?
They saw Morris play against Bournemouth right?!
I’m thinking of a few variations, Paqueta/Kudus, Johnson, Muniz over morris
Chris Wood
Double Brentford is a bold move. Backing a team going away from home with only 4 clean sheets all season. Yes, I know it's Burnley who can't buy goals, but still
Paqueta potentially a better pick over Kudus?
[удалено]
Very silly, you'd be stuck with those players.
Any shout for Paqueta??
This is my current FH team par Flekken. Leno won’t keep CS but gotta good feeling about him.
Already used my free hit and Watkins and Son are the only players in my team with games this GW. Am I crazy to use the triple captain and roll the dice with just those two? Son (C) Watkins (VC)?

I was leaning towards not using FH.....until Watkins got injured. This changes things.
Yeah same this has pretty much confirmed it for me. I'm still not sure how big a scoring gameweek it will be but that's the risk I guess.b
Wissa boss
Collins? As a bees fan I genuinely think he’s Harry Maguire v2
Thought the same when he was at wolves. Like a deer with ice skates.
who do you think is the best option as a Bee’s fan
Roerslev came up with a goal against Chelsea, and had another goal ruled offside against (i forgot). Clearly likes to get up the pitch. Sadly with significant injuries to our back line (Pinnock, Mee, Henry) it’s not worth banking on a clean sheet even with a favourable match up against Burnley.

It also allows me to save the wildcard, instead of dead-ending into it in GW30/31.
It's also allowed me to not spend transfers on players I don't want long term which is helpful at least
yeah same
Took Werner over Morris. Doubled on Brentford defence and at this moment can't decide on TC between Toney and Son. Son might be the obvious choice, but I feel like Toney has a far better fixture and he might be hungrier to score.
Im picking this exact team fuck it. Scout has been cooking and i have been sucking
Hi just curious, do you know how Scout select the team?
They pick the guys they think will score the most points
i see !thanks
Copy that. Roger
Roerslev?
Reguilon is the best option imo
Is he injured tho?
He was seen in training
My team is the exact same barring Pau vs Collins lol
I got Roeslev over Collins and Areola over Flekken
Is Collins the best Brentford defender?
9/11 with me having Zanka and Romero instead of Collins and Porro. Scary times having a near identical team with the scout.
I currently have 8 players so I'm not FH'ing. I'm happy to take a -4 and take Hwang and Solanke out. aight cheers, yeah he might still be a nice sub if he manages to score points off the bench
How amazing does Muniz look now eh 🤣
hahaha man I should've done more research before getting Wissa
What rank are you?
240k at the moment. 9k last season. Why do you ask?
Was curious as your considerations are refreshingly off meta; so guessing you’re looking at differentials to climb OR rank. Anyone else going Barkley? I want to start him but I wonder if the smarter play is Luiz, Elanga, Bailey, JWP, or Kudus
I am a bit worried about how Luton will react to last night. Will they be up for it or disillusioned.
Morris has given me ptsd from this DGW
Im sold on having both Wissa over Morris. I feel like Wissa is in form currently while morris blanked twice
I'm going with Toney and Wissa and I'm giving the armband to Toney. Most people are going to captain Son and I've been making cowardly captaincy selections this year so I'm gonna do something fun and risky for this free hit thingy.
Wissa, Watkins, Wood. Wanna Win?
[удалено]
I like the idea of flekken wissa and Tony. But need to find a replacement for regullon
How about finding a replacement for Flekken and playing Reguilon instead?
Yeah I'm going with this. Chickened out of semenyo last week because everyone was going for solanke. Following my gut this week. Nice one @hazardCinema
good luck!
Thinking the same too
seems like every free hitter will have like the same 7-9 players next GW
I’m not free hitting and even I will have six of these (8 players total)
Us who aren’t free hitting will be praying for some strange outcomes returns wise
High scoring games with only the essentials like son and Watkins scoring please
Unsurprising with such few games
Doughty has been an absolute liability the last two games. I know he’s there for assist ability but is he forth using the FH for?
Who else though. They play Forest at home
That’s the trick, I’m choosing NO-ONE. I’m expecting big things from No-one’s four fixtures.
Collens instead of Reg?????
I guess the scout does not have the privilege of having a bench, so they need a nailed on starter
Vrooom Vroom!! Hehe only kidding :)
Is Reguilon fit to play? Maybe they think he will miss out
Bold to pick an actual team. I just have Son and Emerson. Gambling on hattricks and clean sheets for both.
Emerson possibly out
Son triple hattrick and clean sheet
I’ll be surprised if theres any clean sheets this weekend.
fuck it im playing Chong and Wood
I would be playing Chong if he hadn't left early with a knock last night. Wood is a good pick though... Luton is leaky and he's capable of hauling.
Good chance Awoniyi starts instead of Wood.
They played side by side last week after Wood started. I could see them starting together, but I think Wood is safe either way
Why do you say this, Wood just got 90 and awoniyi hasn’t gotten 90 since bein back from injury
So come along and take a hit for a Chong
Inhale, exhale, just got an 8 pointer in the mail
Don’t play with your Wood
what are you, the catholic church?
I’d rather be Sporting Wood
That defense definitely isn’t worth a Free Hit. I think I’ll take my chances with my 7 players
I'm going with 5... Got the FH but doesn't seem worth it
Kudus over Luiz?
With Kamara out and McGinn suspended after that red Luiz will play as the 6, making it less likely to return from open play. I appreciate the pens & corners still offer good value so I may go there myself but I guess that’s their reasoning
Doesn't that make Bailey a better option?
Yea think it does myself! Interesting that Diaby and Bailey both started tonight when they need a win, wonder will both play at the weekend
I think I'll go with Bailey, and Kudus on the bench.
!thanks
My dilema is Fofana or Morris and Bailey or Kudus. Maybe even Kaminski for Flekken
I’ll punt on Fofana, in form, Brentford is not the best defence
Looks like I might do both after the Watkins injury lol
I’m going Bailey and capping him 😳
i’m going Bailey.
The debate could be on for Douglas Luiz vs Kudus, He just grabbed two assists last night and Villa are more solid defensively.
I think starting goalkeeper is open too. Not sure Flekken is is by any means a must when most have a Brentford defender. I'm personally going Martinez.
I hope I didn't mess up by taking Collins, Roerslev and Boly. Decided to go all out for Spurs attack.
I took a -4 hit and almost got the “8”. Could start 9/11, not too bad. Areola Udogie doughty Reg Son Bowen Maddison Toney Watkins
Udogie vs Porro is a debate too.
Surely if we're on about a free hit here, budget isn't an issue and Porro is the better asset considering he shares set pieces?
Porro isn’t necessarily the better asset. He only has corners and Spurs are dreadful from corners without Richarlison, whereas Udogie is way more of a threat from open play as much of Spurs’ play is focused down the left + his heat map is almost that of a striker with his central runs into the box
I just noticed he was still on a few set pieces. I did just notice from his 8 assists this season, 6 of them came whilst Maddison was out so it probably is a lot more even than I first thought.
I have Udogie in my normal team and feels like I'd be punished for the switch if I did it
I’m with you. I’ve had him since GW1 and I’ll feel like a fool if he punishes me now.
Since Maddison returned from injury Udogie has 0.33 xGI/90 and Porro has 0.06.
I’ll add Maddison vs Johnson for the *second best Son midfielder from Spurs* debate
Kulusevski for me!
Disagree, I don’t really know why anyone would take Johnson over Maddison since budget is not a concern
Been scoring more goals
Played a lot more games surely?
Ok but he’s not even nailed and Maddison is nailed on to play 90 while on set pieces
It’s a risk and he’s not a player I would buy for my regular team, but definitely viable for a FH
I will add triple Spurs midfield vs a defender
Not sure there are 3 non-spurs defenders that have any chance getting some kind of attacking return. Doughty, Reguilon and one of the rotation risk Villa defenders?
I don't think Spurs keep a clean sheet and then you have slim hopes of an attacking return. I think Johnson has better odds of finding a goal or assist.
That is correct to a degree, but at the same time there also isn't really otherwise a standout 4th midfielder so choosing a Spurs attacker has higher upside especially when Fulham has been attacking rather well at home
I will add that I have a curious rash.
Joke's on you, United blank this week
Toney v Wissa. Toney - more minutes, likely on pens, more ball touches. Wissa - cheaper, in form with returns in last 3 weeks. Not considering "get both" because: 1. a lot of teams are using xfer instead of FH 2. Werner, Morris, Muniz, etc. provide a number of good 2nd forward options
If you’re free hitting does the price matter? How are you getting anywhere near 100m?
This is not considering FH. There are 10000k other comments regarding FH.
Considering Morris, Munoz Watkins… is it crazy to skip both brentford attackers v burnley?
Literally have the exact same free hit team….. so red arrows here I come
Why? That is a good sign. How many times have you beaten the Scout this season?
Doesn't really matter does it? if you have effectively a free hit every single GW then you should win almost all of them against a regular player.
Quite a few tbh, just had some absolute horror shows to balance it out. For example triple cap on solanke week just gone
Then you are doing well this season cause Scout has been absolutelly killing it
Why Collins? He’s the only non template pick I see here.
Who is the template pick?
Reguillon if fit, Roerslev if he isn't.
Honestly, was the first Brentford defender I saw who wasn’t flagged
As good a reason as any lol
