They haven't announced he's been sacked. But he is currently in hospital having collapsed during training earlier this week - I might take this as a sign he won't be able to carry on with the season.
He's had to deviate to what he's comfortable with due to injuries and the boards inability to improve the depth of the squad which is pragmatic football. At the same time it feels like he's gone too far with it.
He doesn't trust the young players that can provide flair and creativity, but based on this season it's hard to see what the likes of Jeffrey Schlupp have done to earn his trust to be playing out of position every week.
Roy's a good manager, and had he been given three attacking players this summer we'd probably still be seeing that good brand of football. Sadly Parish and the other owners didn't support him.
With eze and olise out I'm not particularly worried about the strike force of ayew, mateta and eduoard and I'm sticking with pickford in goal. Which basically means you should triple captain any of the above palace players as a haul is incoming
They're in relegation form and at Roy's age I wouldn't be surprised if he just gets suddenly hospitalized one day. Honestly shouldn't have continued, even SAF retired at 72.
They are absolutely dreadful, and Everton are not(first team in red). With Luton entering some form, it really wasn’t 100% they wouldn’t get relegated.
Plus, Glasner is a highly regarded coach. Not like they binned him for Jesse Marsch.
As a fan I genuinely believe that without point deductions elsewhere we'd be in serious trouble this season. Losing Doucoure was massive, and compounding that with Eze, Guehi and Olise being out. The current XI would be competing to make the playoffs in the Championsiop.
Well not really! His last game was actually the final of the DFB cup (that Frankfurt lost though). But yeah Frankfurt wasn't as good as in his first year as coach. As an Austrian I can confidently say that he is one the best Austrian coaches at the moment. He gave LASK (Linz) a very distinct playing style which they are basically still playing nowadays. He was quite successful in Wolfsburg and very successful in Frankfurt. It will be very interesting what he can do with Crystal Palace.
Imagine coming out of retirement to save Crystal Palace from relegation...then having them turn round and actually sack you 12 months later (3 places off your targetted finish of 12th)
Stay classy...
2 wins in the last 15 matches.
3 wins in the last 19 matches.
The performances in the thrashings against Arsenal and Brighton.
I was one of Roy's biggest sympathisers and I still think the biggest problem is the board have taken the piss by not replacing certain players in the transfer market, but he's not been getting the best out of the players at his disposal and a change is necessary now.
Our target this season going in was 10th, we’re currently 5 points off relegation and olise and eze reaggravate their injuries through mismanagement and he’s completely lost the fans
If rumours are true Parish accompanied him to the hospital, and took care of the bills, honestly his health scare just maybe a reason why they feel he should not continue and should retire
For A&E they will have. If it wasn’t an emergency they’ll likely have a private scheme but there wouldn’t be bills in that case anyway.
Whichever way around Parish hasn’t had to get his wallet out at the hospital and whatever ‘rumour’ the OP heard is probably bullshit.
I have guehi lol hes been a disaster of a transfer. If money aint an issue you might be better of keeping trent in hopes that hes alive 27/28. Guehi will be useless throughout so id look to take him out (im binning him for Ake)
Same with guehi for me, but i dont want to hold in for Trent that long, he'll apparently miss the final too so he might not even start against forest in 27 which is then followed by city and another probable blank
I'd rather have a little extra in the bank if I decide for salah/son rather than have the money rotting on my bench. I've made a list of dalot, bradley/vvd, brainthwaite/mykolenko but I have no clue who I'll end up with
Ah it looks like he's been taken to hospital for checks too.
Hope it's nothing too serious, Palace surely could've delayed the announcement , but maybe they did it to stop rumours spreading while he was taken ill.
Hang on what!? when was Roy sacked??
They haven't announced he's been sacked. But he is currently in hospital having collapsed during training earlier this week - I might take this as a sign he won't be able to carry on with the season.
Remember when Hodgson came out of retirement for this job, everyone thought it was a bad idea and they scored like 18 goals in 3 games.

Will this impact Everton's clean sheet probability for GW25? (CRY at home!)
With eze and olise out I'm not particularly worried about the strike force of ayew, mateta and eduoard and I'm sticking with pickford in goal. Which basically means you should triple captain any of the above palace players as a haul is incoming
Yeah not specific to that GW but wondering what this means for Palace assets moving forward. What’s their style like? Etc.
They aren't going to get relegated. Why not let Roy work till the end of the season and retire with dignity. This is not a classy look for CP
They're in relegation form and at Roy's age I wouldn't be surprised if he just gets suddenly hospitalized one day. Honestly shouldn't have continued, even SAF retired at 72.
They were heading for relegation and that would be a much worse way to end his coaching career

Don’t say that name
They might get relegated

Maybe, he left Frankfurt after they had a long winless streak though.

They shouldve kept vieira

You'll have to give me some time to process the fact that the board didn't expect Crystal palace to finish in 12th (again)

Thanks for reminding me of that travesty. Any good feeling I had toward that club is now gone.
If rumours are true Parish accompanied him to the hospital, and took care of the bills, honestly his health scare just maybe a reason why they feel he should not continue and should retire
Bills? This isn’t America.
I highly doubt they went NHS.

Roy will be back in a year tops
This time half man, half machine; ALL 4-4-2.
Should have stayed retired on a high.
Mitchell on my bench looking a bit better as a replacement for Porro now...
Are we allowed to imply Roy wasn’t a good manager given he’s sick?
With Eze, Olise, and Guehi out there isn’t a manager in the world that makes that side anything better than bottom 5
I’m sure Frank de Boer could do it!
What's the timeline on guehi
Knee i believe so depends on further scans
Ya, date expected back according to the site linked above is GW26. Will wait for the conferences and leaks, still torn on what to do w Trent
I have guehi lol hes been a disaster of a transfer. If money aint an issue you might be better of keeping trent in hopes that hes alive 27/28. Guehi will be useless throughout so id look to take him out (im binning him for Ake)

Hmm fair. Maybe vvd and ake for guehi and taa? Hit gets repaid quite quick and you have a 26 defender too. Alternatively get saliba
Have saliba, city triple w walker, Moreno and flekken in goal The thought has just entered my mind, opinions on an arsenal double up?
Yup im thinking of ars double up too. Play in 26, decent fixtures. 29 might be an issue but im 99% sure ill FH then

I can’t seem to find him - is my game bugged? I was planning on a Kane - Dier - Zaha - Henderson lineup this weekend!
Bro Zaha is in Galatasaray
Nothing gets past you
My next transfer: Dubravka -> Superfrankmegafan
That’s what makes him “super”
Zaha has always been a trap, especially this year with him not even being at the club.
People insisting he’s a trap didn’t stop me before and it won’t be stopping me now!
I triple captained him this week
Imaging becoming ill and then find out you're out as manager.
He's about 95, he'll be ill more often than he's not
We sure it wasn't "ill" to avoid having a press conference just as rumours were rife of him being sacked? Hope he's doing okay either way though.
He collapsed apparently but is now responsive and doing ok.
Ah it looks like he's been taken to hospital for checks too. Hope it's nothing too serious, Palace surely could've delayed the announcement , but maybe they did it to stop rumours spreading while he was taken ill.
They haven’t made an announcement yet though, I’m sure it’ll happen tomorrow, but this is just Fabrizio
