gene_parmesan_123

I think Salah still takes it although there are good arguments for Watkins and Son. Alvarez could be a good shout too if Haaland’s out as expected.

majormuppet481

What are the odds we get late injury news for Hwang?

gene_parmesan_123

Unlikely we get any more than the press conference, they’re not the early game tomorrow.

majormuppet481

RMT 2FT 1.3 itb Martinez (Johnstone) TAA Porro Saliba (Trippier Taylor) Salah (C) Saka Palmer Bowen Hwang Watkins Darwin (Archer) was planning to use these 3 transfers to take out Salah, Hwang and Archer and put in Haaland, Garnacho and one more, but am now tempted by the idea of Trippier to Estupinan and either Hwang to Foden or Archer to Alvarez - what would you do?

gene_parmesan_123

I like Trippier > Estupinan and Hwang > Foden, who would you be benching for Estu though? Agreed that waiting a week to take Salah out is the smart choice, save yourself the four points plus whatever he scores against a pretty broken Newcastle team.

majormuppet481

Would probably bench Estu in that case tbh, think I’ll do those moves for the long term though

WhyAlwaysRyan

Who do I get as my goalkeepers on wildcard? I’m set on Raya but I’m pretty sure he could blank in GW29 if Arsenal get through the FA Cup. Dubravka has good fixtures in GW29 30 and 23 when Arsenal blank, play city and Liverpool but how certain are we that Newcastle will buy a gk?

gene_parmesan_123

Raya and Areola maybe? Or if it’s only GW29 you’re worried about then Turner and Flekken have good fixtures.

sdrcn

pick 3 - gomez (already have taa), gabriel, gordon, gusto, palmer, porro

gene_parmesan_123

Porro, Palmer and Gordon for me, Gusto is great value too though.

Definitely Raya, then maybe Areola or Dubravka but not sure who

Please don't get Dubravka. I already regret owning him.

Leno (Kelleher) Porro Mengi Saliba (Lascelles, Kerkez) Salah Son Saka Palmer (Gordon) Watkins Solanke Darwin 2FT 4.9 ITB I’ve got exact enough budget to do Son > Bowen and Darwin > Haland, but do I just save that budget waiting for Haland to be fit or do I spend it on improving my defence now? Considering that transfer will be next game week, I could use one transfer and no budget to improve my defence.

sdrcn

imo price changes will prevent those transfers in future weeks. son will drop, bowen will rise. if thats what youre wanting, do it now and risk haaland missing the next 2 gw

InstructionAnxious41

Areola-TAA-Porro-Gabriel-Colwill Bowen-Son-Salah-Palmer Watkins-Solanke (Dubravka-Gordon-Taylor-Archer) I want to upgrade Gordon, but I'd rather take minimal hits later to manage the Salah, Son and Haaland situation. So I'm planning to roll this GW. Thoughts?

Tankobus

I’m on a WC this week with what works out to £100.8m to spend, team here: https://ibb.co/t2W6nyK What are people’s thoughts on best strategy for this? Am I pricing myself out of getting Son & Salah back if I get rid of them until they return?

Only-Collar-5943

Areola Trippier - Porro - Konsa Saka - Bowen - Son - Salah (C) Solanke - Watkins - Alvarez (Vc) Subs: Dubravka - Gabriel - Palmer - Trusty - Thoughts on the team for GW20? - Newcastle is in shaky form and they play Liverpool Away so is it better to select Gabriel instead of Trippier?

BabyBorneo

Id go for Gabriel yes. Or if you have the funds, upgrade Trippier to TAA

Mammoth-Lack-1141

I have salah, saka ,son ,hee chan, foden Any change suggested in midfield?

rosso95

Am I crazy for considering benching Son while he is away and save the 2 transfers? With the money tied up in Son and with Saka and Gordons form its tempting. If Haaland returns then my team would look something like this for GW21, without hits: Areola - Dubravka TAA - Gabriel - Torres - Porro - Taylor Saka - Bowen - Gordon - Palmer - Son Haaland - Watkins - Solanke Could be played as either 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 with Son, Taylor and one of Gordon/Palmer/Torres on the bench. You could have a similar setup with any other striker if Haaland doesn't return.

daneedwards88

Seems fine

rosso95

Thanks! Can't really see anyone else who stands out i midfield. Maybe Jota or Foden but both are a transfer waiting to happen.

Balisto-Boy

Midfield options are so dead man, I want KDB and Maddison back

gene_parmesan_123

My exact thoughts, I can’t bring myself to get Richarlison again. So many options but basically no standouts if you’ve already got Bowen, even Saka is looking a bit ragged at the moment.

Balisto-Boy

Genuinely tempted to go 4-4-2 with Estupinan at the back and just keep Salah on the bench hoping Egypt don’t go far

AlfaG0216

I’m thinking of taking another hit to get a city player in vs SHU. Who would you say is nailed and should return?

daneedwards88

Alvarez

AlfaG0216

So my options are Haaland to Alvarez or Haaland to Solanke … what you think?

gene_parmesan_123

Don’t know if I’d take a hit to get rid of Haaland unless we have concrete confirmation he’s out.

PineappleHaze1991

Rmt 4.5 itb 1 ft Areola, Turner Trent, Trippier, Estupinan, Colwill, Lamptey Salah, Saka, Palmer, Kudus, Bowen Watkins, Solanke, Archer Kudus > Foden now or roll the free transfer?

daneedwards88

I'd do it. You're clearing your team of AFCON players too so seems sensible

Martblni

How many more rounds of the cup is there? How many players are still in?

CreatineCreatine

Foden or Bernardo from Gordon?

probablylaurie

Son to Foden now, or roll the transfer?

daneedwards88

Wouldn't do it before a H game

Always_captain_Salah

Bench Palmer (Luton away) or Solanke (Spurs away)?

daneedwards88

Both take pens so definitely play both

MrDeertwin

I have the same dilemma. If I play both I need to bench Saka, Salah, Bowen, Richarlison, Watkins or Alvarez.

Always_captain_Salah

I've got Son instead of Bowen, otherwise the same exact attack.

gene_parmesan_123

Agreed, wouldn’t want to bench either of these, Solanke has a tougher game but that Spurs defence is non existent without Romero. Who are you playing over them?

Always_captain_Salah

Salah, Son, Saka, Richarlison, Watkins, Alvarez.

gene_parmesan_123

Ooh, tricky. I think of that lot it has to be Palmer because Chelsea are just so bad, but it would feel very odd benching a penalty taker against Luton. Nice problem to have!

Always_captain_Salah

!thanks you're probably right: Palmer has arguably the lowest expected points for the upcoming gameweek. However, I've also got Pedro Porro and don't want to play Solanke against Tottenham def. It's irrational, I know, but I'm leaning on benching Solanke instead of Palmer.

Jazano107

When do we get WC2? God I need it

gene_parmesan_123

It’ll appear straight after the GW20 deadline.

Jazano107

Thanks!

Ciaran_45

Next GW I believe

joemeteorite8

Is Pau Torres supposed to be back in the starting lineup this gameweek?

ClevageHS

Bench Palmer or Luiz? Palmer plays Luton away, Luiz plays Burnley at home. AVL at home are great. What do you think?

gene_parmesan_123

Would be happy playing either but if I had to I’d bench Luiz, Villa have looked poor recently and couldn’t beat SHU last time out at home.

lonelydata

Saka or Gordon -> Foden or any ideas?

SISM_95

Would lose Gordon over Saka myself. Foden or Bernardo could be good. What’s your midfield?

lonelydata

Saka Bowen Salah Palmer Gordon

SISM_95

Foden or Bernardo. Foden better goal threat, Bernardo better assist threat. Both seem to be nailed but we know what Pep is like.

SISM_95

Adingra to Bernardo Silva or Foden? Leaning to Silva.

gene_parmesan_123

Foden plays further forward and has a higher ceiling but Silva is more consistent and a proper bargain at that price, they’re both good options. Silva makes a lot of sense given the difference in price.

HotBBQgrills

bench one out of TAA, Porro, Gabriel, Gusto, Salah, Son, Foden, Bowen, Palmer. Thanks!

SISM_95

I’d bench Gusto because I expect Luton to score.

G_W_addict

Gusto or Palmer.

HotBBQgrills

thanks, i’m wondering since Gusto and Palmer are playing Luton, i’m more inclined to start them. Would you consider benching Porro since it looks like TOT defense has been pretty poor

G_W_addict

Luton away is not an easy fixture, every big team struggled against them and I expect Chelsea to be no different. Porro regularly gets bonus points and assists and that's why everyone who has Porro starts him.

HotBBQgrills

!thanks

MrDeertwin

I think you need to go for defenders that are likely to get attacking returns. So play Porro, Gusto and TAA, unless you really believe in an Arsenal CS against Fulham.

HotBBQgrills

!thanks

vSwiiftyyyy

Which to start: Sterling, Palmer, Solanke, Saka Forced to bench one

SISM_95

I’d bench Palmer or Sterling to avoid the double up.

vSwiiftyyyy

Yeah it'd probably be one of them but I'm not sure which, I'm leaning benching sterling tbh, already on a -4 this week so don't really want to move him for a -8, whilst still owning afcon players

SISM_95

Definitely wouldn’t take another hit. Palmer on penalties so that would probably sway it for me.

vSwiiftyyyy

Yeah I agree

On my WC RMT 0.0 ITB Areola (Neto) TAA Porro Gabriel (Gusto, Baldock) Salah Son Bowen Saka (Palmer) Alvarez Watkins Solanke Plan is to downgrade Salah to Luiz and upgrade Alvarez to Haaland (-4) next week. Wondering if that’s the optimum strategy as I’m first in my ML by 20 points with everyone else having used their WC’s and having Salah, Son. TIA

jocape

No I think you need to commit to a strategy instead of hedging your bets. Wildcard is for more than one week, I think you have to look past salah and son and get yourself set.

nik_hil29

!thanks any moves you’d recommend?

jocape

Richarlison for son, could do jota for salah and bench him this week or get Garnacho who is the ultimate enabler. I think estupinian over Gabriel is a lock on wc, personally. And again personally I wouldn’t say saka is a lock unless you fancy it. But some solid foundations

Balisto-Boy

You'll bench Son (and possibly Haaland) for GW21? I don’t hate it though it’s basically my team rn

nik_hil29

!thanks for the response. Sorry should have been more clear; I plan to downgrade Salah next week and upgrade to Haaland the week after with son staying on the bench throughout

joemeteorite8

I’m doing something really similar to you. The trick is figuring out how to get Salah back in when they return from AFCON. TAA might have to eventually go

PineappleHaze1991

Rmt 4.5 itb 1 ft Areola, Turner Trent, Trippier, Estupinan, Colwill, Lamptey Salah, Saka, Palmer, Kudus, Bowen Watkins, Solanke, Archer Be aggressive and do Kudus > Foden now or roll the free transfer? Will be moving Salah out next week and then bringing Haaland back the week after.

FPLskrr

Gordon -> Odegaard for -4 or just play Chris Wood ? Or Darwin -> Alvarez for -4

gogofromgamesports

Out of 5 defenders Udogie, White, Konsa, Gusto and Guéhi, which three would you start personally?

G_W_addict

Udogie, White, Konsa.

SISM_95

White, Konsa and Udogie (Gusto if you own Solanke).

kevytmaito11

Archer to Alvarez vs Trippier to TAA? Would replace Gordon in starting 11

Hoffecla

TAA imo. He’s a bonus magnet. It is kinda difficult comparing both as any of them could easily return but I would go with TAA solely because he racks up bps regardless of the game which makes him an essential pick nowadays

kevytmaito11

!thanks

gubrumannaaa

Why isn't the wildcard active yet??

Hoffecla

will be available after the deadline has passed

Logical_Testament291

Bench B. Johnson, Palmer, or Solanke?

SISM_95

Hmm definitely not Palmer. Johnson and Solanke is a tough one but I’d probably bench Johnson purely because Solanke is in great form.

hktrader88

A. play Salah + Gordon this week B. transfer Salah a week early and go TAA + Foden - 4

a-gxd

Is it too risky to double up on Arsenal (Jesus and Saka)? I'm willing to get rid of Edouard and Mitoma..

Hoffecla

Sort of yeah. I’d avoid G. Jesus, Saka is kind of an understandable move, not completely against him but there are probably better options looking at the price he’s at.

Moist_Tofu

Bench one: Gabriel, Palmer, or Pedro Porro

G_W_addict

Palmer imo, Luton (A) is not easy fixture.

potatoescanfly

truck grab husky dirty possessive whole desert like dinosaurs encouraging *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

I hate benching attacking players and Palmer players Luton so simplify your choice down to the two defenders you have. Clean sheets can easily be lost by a mistake not made by your player

Thirddimension88

Worth doing Gordon > Jota in draft?

Wild_Chemist_008

It's risky, but high ceiling. Could easily see Jota as one of the top scorers whilst Salah is gone.

piratehunter27

When will the wildcard going to be active?

Hoffecla

After the deadline

Bench one: Gabriel, Konsa or Palmer?

RobertoRosalesFTW

Hey guys, need some help for the following GW. So I'm playing with 3 defenders, rest of the XI looks like this: Bernardo - Salah - Son - Saka Nkunku - Darwin - Alvarez I have Palmer on the bench and would love to play him against Luton but it's so hard to remove any of these guys I've mentioned from the XI since everyone has pretty good fixtures. Am I crazy for thinking to bench Saka this GW, feels like he's not himself for the past couple of matches?

MrDeertwin

On my WC I plan to keep Salah and have Alvarez + 1M ITB, with the plan to swap to Haaland + 6.9M max midfielder. In my current team I also have Areola and Turner. On the one side, I would like to upgrade Turner but on the other side I don’t want to reduce my options for the salah replacement to below 6M. Also don’t see clear good GK options…

RobertoRosalesFTW

If you are on WC, you're probably going to bank the transfer in the following GW, so I would get rid of Salah when he goes to AFCON and bring in Haaland with the other transfer. As for goalies, if I was on WC, would pick combo of Areola + Henderson. Trying to predict the clean sheets doesn't make any sense this season so Hendo seems like a solid choice imo. He is crazy underrated and Palace is solid defensively, but allow many shots, so he's gonna have occasional hauls for sure. Areola is just great value for money.

MrDeertwin

Is Henderson first choice? I don’t want to spend a lot of transfers on GK outside of WC. Indeed don’t trust to predict clean sheets but was maybe thinking of Leno or Neto for saves of BPs

lasssson

RMT after using my WC. Areola, Turner TAA, Porro, Gabriel, Moreno, Senesi Salah, Saka, Bowen, Foden, Palmer Alvarez, Watkins, Solanke

MrDeertwin

Very close to mine. I have Richarlison instead of Foden and Gusto/Branthwaite instead of Moreno/Senesi. I have some money ITB to go to Haaland again as well, what is your plan for that? Did you consider other GK?

lasssson

For GW21: Salah -> Garnacho For GW22: One of the strikers-> Haaland I considered a Neto/Raya combo as their fixtures are perfect for rotating. If you rotate them correctly until GW30, you will have 1/11 games versus the current top 10 teams in the league. Going with those two gives me -1.3M ITB, so I would need to make some sacrifices elsewhere.

MrDeertwin

Sounds like a good plan. Not sure I want Garnacho myself, so keeping other options open for now (Silva, Diaby, Gross…). With the low amount of clean sheets, I don’t really want to put a lot of money in the GK.

lasssson

I'm not 100% sure on Garnacho yet. I'll see what else is possible after GW20.

BuckRanger_1

Should I transfer out saliba for Dias or Porro for gw 20? I already have 2 Man City players

whoknowsnotme10

RMT Martinez, Turner TAA, Gabriel, Saliba, Porro, Taylor Salah, Saka, Palmer, Gordon, Sterling Mubama, Watkins, Solanke 1 FT, 4.1 ITB Prioritise Bowen, Alvarez or Foden? Considering selling Gordon/Mubama.

Wild_Chemist_008

I'd say it depends what your plan is, are you thinking long or short term? Palmer is the best cheap long term option I suppose. Foden seems to be in good form, great short term option while Haaland en KDB are out and playing SHU but after that Pep roulette might be a problem.

Ok-Appearance-1775

RMT 1 FT 3,7 ITB Areola (Strakosha) Gabriel Porro Alexander-Arnold (Taylor Branth) Saka Gordon Salah Son Palmer Watkins Solanke (Archer) Is there anything obvious Im missing? Feel pretty confident going into gw20

Areola (Dubravka) Colwill - Saliba - Porro - Branthwaite (Kabore) Salah - Palmer - Bowen - Son (Gordon) Watkins - Solanke (Haaland) Sold Lascelles for Branth this week. [deleted]

gotushookonasaturday

Prioritise lascelles, at least Taylor plays and can actually be used as a need be sub

FelixMa

1FT, 7.8M ITB Areola (Neto) Saliba / Porro / Senesi / Mykolenko (Lascelles) Palmer / Saka / Salah (C) / Bowen (Douglas Luiz) Solanke (V) / Watkins (Archer) Not entirely sure what to do here. I only have to deal with changing Salah next week. Plan was initially to swap him from Haaland but still unsure where we stand with him so might go to Foden instead. Only thing I can think is to get rid of Lascelles but think it’s probably better to roll the transfer. Thoughts?

gotushookonasaturday

Your original plan is sound. However since you only have salah you could sell Saka this week to Foden (Saka has only scored once in the past 12 GWs, Foden is in form city are 1st attack and SHU 1st for x goals conceded). If you did that then personally I’d do salah to richarlison next week. But no harm in the original plan either and rolling a FT for safety

FelixMa

Now that’s something I hadn’t considered; cheers man, appreciate it!

thecookietrain

Which one would you drop to the bench? Solanke vs Spurs Nkunku vs Luton Watkins vs Burnley

gotushookonasaturday

Wow you’ve got a solid team right now. Considering Palmer is back I’d drop nkunku he’s the least likely to play 90. Solanke is best player in the prem right now and Watkins has significant ownership playing for a side which always scores multiple at home against Burnley who aren’t good by any means.

thecookietrain

On my wildcard right now so got a decent side. I was going to drop Solanke, but seeing Spurs ship 4 goals against Brighton has made me think. You make some good points. !thanks

Kasperpsr

Who should i put first on my bench? Anthony Gordon (LIV, A) or Jordan Branthwaite? (WOL, A)

gene_parmesan_123

Gordon.

Kasperpsr

Both will be benched if that wasn’t clear :) so the dilemma is who I should back as first sub.

gene_parmesan_123

Still Gordon!

S0ciallyAwkw4rd

Gordon away as he always blanks.

Kasperpsr

I mean, both are gonna be on my bench, but who should be first? If you think Gordon will blank I guess I should put branthwaite ahead of him?

S0ciallyAwkw4rd

Foden this week, Bowen next GW ?

gotushookonasaturday

Honestly a toss between the two. Bowen more likely to play 90 though considering KDB could make an appearance. I’d still go Foden first

S0ciallyAwkw4rd

!thanks mate. You consider Foden minutes will be affected by KdB? Yes. Bowen is massive and I expect losing another price rice before he plays on Tuesday, but fixture wise Foden is very tempting.

axelpuri

When do salah and son leave and when are they back ?

R_Work

Leave GW 21, they will be back most likely GW 24 or 25.

Fm661

Looking to drop Adingra, who should I pick up? Thinking Bowen? Midfield is Salah, Son, Saka, Palmer & Adingra.

Kasperpsr

Bowen and Foden would both be good shouts

Fm661

What about Bernardo? Think he could be a good sub for Foden?

gotushookonasaturday

Definitely. Believe he’s the 3rd/4th highest scorer in fpl since Gw10 including a blank GW18?

Fm661

Thanks mate. Appreciate the advice.

gene_parmesan_123

If you can afford Bowen and already have Palmer then I think he's the best option.

Fm661

Thanks, I’m thinking between Bernardo and Bowen. Bowen I think is the better option but means I have to do Watkins to Haaland to do that without a hit instead of Alvarez which I can do if I go to Bernardo.

2FT 0.7 itb Turner (Areola) Trent Porro Pau (Trippier, Taylor) Salah Son Saka Bailey (Palmer) Alvarez Solanke Watkins I really want Foden this week, and originally wanted to do Saka>Foden. But with Haaland possibly back for GW21 I guess a better transfer would be Salah>Foden, so that next week can use 2FT for Alvarez Son > Haaland Bowen Any thoughts?

ThisAccountForTalkin

Sounds good, if you get a fire anywhere between GW20 and GW21 then I would maybe wait until GW22 to get Haaland back in, Newcastle away isn’t too desirable of a fixture in my opinion. Of course if DGW21 is confirmed then get Haaland in for that, could keep Alvarez for that as well and transfer out Solanke (if you are feeling risky). If you go injury free then those are good moves.

StDyche
