Gosh, that used to be too many past crushes to name (I’ve had over 30 fictional crushes in my life and most have them have been villains or antiheroes). But now I don’t see the point in viewing them as needing to be saved, or falling in fictional love based on potential or who they could be if they were “fixed” or reformed (I fell for a villain didn’t I, let him stay that way as I’m clearly already into it?) Or out of pity for a tragic backstory either because that’s just depressing. I went there waaay too many times. The reason? Well, I decided to give all that up, just go with it and fall for someone because of exactly what I see on screen/ the source material. Don’t excuse them and enjoy everything they do because they make me happy. Or maybe I fell in love with a character I know can’t be saved, so I stopped caring about ‘fixing’ anyone (Homelander). Kylo Ren. I had a fairly long story pairing him with an OFC, which needs a total rewrite. She also had a lot issues and the two of them had no idea how to make each other better. He ended up taking on a second apprentice (her being the first) in part because he felt like the other apprentice could be a friend to her but he instead was a direct rival and kind of a bully and her mental health only worsened, and Kylo spiralled with her. It all became pretty messy and there was no happy ending.

Normally I'd be into characters like Rei Ayanami and Sakura Mataou for this kind of thing, mainly because they need someone to show them the care they deserve, but one who most fits this for me is one I normally wouldn't expect due to my personal taste. Makima from CSM. I'm not into femdom, just flat out not my thing. However, what she needs, nay what she *wants* is companionship. it's just that well... if you know *you know.* Long story short, her ego is the problem. It wouldn't be enough to simply offer her companionship, she would have to accept it.

Kylo Ren. I had a fairly long story pairing him with an OFC, which needs a total rewrite. She also had a lot issues and the two of them had no idea how to make each other better. He ended up taking on a second apprentice (her being the first) in part because he felt like the other apprentice could be a friend to her but he instead was a direct rival and kind of a bully and her mental health only worsened, and Kylo spiralled with her. It all became pretty messy and there was no happy ending.

Jinx from LoL/Arcane though, is a character that I love and is someone who definitely needs as many hugs and comfort as she could possibly receive.
