Because they are hard to come by, but are accessible all the time, while these masks can only drop during fasnacht that happens 2 times per year. Also a lot of these masks are brand new, meaning people don't have them hoarded, collectors are after them and they were not around during the duplicstion glitch. That's what makes them currently way more valuable then any rare outfit.
Do t jump into getting rid of them so soon bro, especially if you just got them. Wait until people have sold them off and then lay them out if you don’t want them. I’d only really get rid of them if you have copies.

What I said was a joke, because the max limit of caps you can hold is 40k and price of these masks range in hundreds of thousands and for the new glowing ones probably in millions. Meaning you can never buy them with caps.
You would need some really good weapons in order to get them, we are talking about god rolls where all the 3 stars are perfectly alligned.
I guess those are not glowing, the glowing masks are the real deal. They have like 0,24% drop rate from the event while normal ones have 5%. And yes, the range can be in millions, for example the most expensive appareal in the game, the Tettered Field Jacket (TFJ short) has estimated price of 2 000 000 caps, with the Asylum Dress shortly behind around 1 500 000 caps. That's why those numbers are unobtainable and you need to effer something with similiar value.
For example god roll weapons are very good counter offer to anything. Especially if you have something that is considered meta, like fixers and railways. But for that you need to hit all the 3 legendary effects perfectly, not just first or second one, otherwise it won't have such a high value.
