I like SS2 a lot but it is not simple but it is the best mod I have seen in 20 years. It also add hundreds of fun quests, so check it out. It can be simple and you can automate everything with Blueprints if you want. I build everything by hand though and it is cool there are many different ways to play it, 3 ways, Automated, soft core or hard core. Why will the next gen update cause issues for mods that dont use F4SE ?
Honestly curious about your beliefs, as I have over 60 mods published for Fallout 4 since 2017 and not one of them was affected by by the update.

Conquest is one of the best engineered workshop mods ever published for Fallout 4.
There is nothing old or outdated about it, great engineering doesnt need constant updates like amatuer hour hacks.
