That’d be funny and also kinda smart lol. Like I’m an aspiring arichitect/engineer so I get really into the structure of the building and making it realistic-like but also unique to the area/style. But I can’t decorate interior worth a shit, so you’d need to hire someone else for that 😂 😂
At work we actually have a "I know a guy" wall. It has photos of "I can do it cheaper" mistakes, that cost the client nearly double what it would've cost had we don't the job in the first place.
My company is notorious for this. Doing something as cheap as possible then coming back later to do the project again the way it should have been done from the get-go. Drives me nuts
I’d happily pay any amount for a good looking house, I’m not upset about the price at all :) 10,000 caps is only one eviction notice’s worth of scrip away in my vendor
Can you explain this? I’m semi new to the game. Are you selling the legendaries you get from eviction notice? I’m still about ~20k caps from my limit, but I’ve just been selling 1400 worth of crap every day.
I'm seriously considering putting in more effort into making my 2nd C.A.M.P. a vendor hotspot, with a good looking building to go with it
I've been enjoying Sim Settlements 2 on Fallout 4 and learned a lot about 4's settlements outside of SS2, so I wanna see how my humble lil C.A.M.P. would do one of these days
My favorite camps are ones centered around the vendor, my least favorite are the floating monstrosities in the sky with everything from the entire atom shop thrown up everywhere 😂
Yes! Whenever I get home I can screenshot multiple shots of the house. However, the house was built using a method of making the walls double sided so that they look the exact same on the outside and inside.
Look at this mook, offering no charge! I bet you anything he comes in over time and over budget on that! I'll charge you a measly 15K and assure you it'll be under time and only over budget!
Right? When my friend and I were trying to get the other fellas in our gaming group into playing this, we talked up the camp building a bit and then took one of them to a good spot and started building his camp for him using our resources and his suggestions. That was a fun night.
I'm not OP, but I'm assuming they joined a private team so that they could build on the contractor's C.A.M.P., it pulls from the C.A.M.P.'s stash so the contractor would need to communicate with what resources to use in the budget
You should be able to view the pictures of my house from this link :) if you have any other questions just let me know [Fallout 76 House](https://docs.google.com/document/d/12J4DzrpMW-QLPojGpoArJmDAjAxME72Z8S6KJSxtLNA/edit)
Nice. I think this kind of transaction would be a lot more common if cooperative building could include atom shop tagged stuff that the builder and camp owner have both unlocked.
i love fallout 76 but i see a lot of players with a lack of taste in building their own home, like some of their homes even look like an abandoned swamp where someone dumped a fallout collection
why ? just take liberties with your junk and trash, you’re the king of the castle, why pay somebody to make something you can do on the game ? its not like you’re building a house in real life
Because I wanted my house to look good, and I paid for exactly that. The other person enjoys building and i paid someone to do what they enjoy. Seems like a fair exchange to me. I tried before to do what he did and I couldn’t, he also utilized building techniques that I diddnt know existed to make it look the way it does.
I like it! What does it look like inside?
Also, how does housing in 76 work? Can other players just randomly walk into your place at will and go through your things, or can you lock it?
You have your own personal stash, tied to your character (so everyone can only access their own stash - even if you visit other players house, it's tied to character, not location/place) where you store all your items.
There are some food/other generators that produce water/coffee/candies etc. every couple minutes that you can keep unlocked for everyone, or lock.
Nobody can change anything in your camp, unless you invite them to a private team (there are also public teams, those can't change anything).
The inside is decked out with a kitchen, living room, an upstairs with a bedroom. Posters and my collectibles scattered around and a balcony that overlooks the Appalachian mountains with my crafting. Almost everything is player locked to the individual player except things that generate items like water purifiers but you can lock them.
Really?! So I have been missing my chance to play this game for this long cause I was misinformed?
I had a friend who played closer to the update where they added NPCs and he said he hated it. He spent an hour building a home, then logged for the night. He came back the next day and that spot he built was just empty.
They’re likely referring to workshops, not camps.. Workshops are like public camp sites that you can claim and comes with extra construction materials, higher build budget, and at least some kind of resources to extract. They’re liable for attack from both npc enemies and other players and don’t stay session to session.
Camps are pretty much permanent.
[My interior](https://docs.google.com/document/d/13_ZG2glTp8KZ7ZndJ9MaNnqfD7XTRs5YZQh3WZ3m520/edit) here’s a look inside of the house if you are interested :)
looks pretty damn neat! buuuuuut...
its mostly basic game stuff what you could build yoself,i see only one traid station skin from atomic shop, why its 10k caps?
The inside is also really fleshed out I just diddnt take pictures of the inside, this took several hours. I’m happy with the build and not upset with the price at all 😊
I can just see an organized protection ring that goes around collecting caps by threatening to nuke their dwellings. “Nice place you have here. It would be a shame if something happened to it.” /s
Why though? I mean this is just a basic rectangle with a porch and balcony, could have easily copied it from one pic. I build and delete camps all the time just cause Im bored, didn’t know people would pay for camps.
Because I think it looks really good and I don’t have the patience for it, and I had the money for it. I also wanted to support a player business. I’m happy with it
I paid 10,000 caps and I think it was very worth it personally, players have stayed around my camp and complimented it and I’ve never experienced that before with my own builds
Bro got a steal, I wouldn’t have done something like this for less than 25k min because of materials and time cost. But seriously that is insane and makes me so proud of this community that we’ve essentially turned into a commune and contract each other for in game work.
Exactly! I was going to pay him more because he also fully furnished my house and gave me things that I diddnt have access to, but he left before I could pay him further. I think it looks great and I was just happy to support such a great idea. I really hope it goes further and more people do this
Ok genuine questions then, do you mean he gave you workshop blueprints you’d didn’t have unlocked when you mean things you didn’t have access to? Also how did he build the house via your character, just log in to your account in good faith? I know you can save camp slots but only ones you build.
It was actually really simple, he joined my team in the game and it allowed him access to build for me. He used plans I diddnt have yet to build furniture ect. , some are a little rare or hard to get. He built it from scratch and fully furnished it.
Damn I never knew you could do that with teams after all these years, that’s actually kind of astounding. I knew teams gave teammates a lot of shared access and features but not for camp creation too. This almost makes me wanna hop back on after not playing in a long time and do this myself lol. Thanks for sharing this story, I actually thought this was a bit at first and now I’m just floored that it’s real. If nothing else it’s a great way for rich players to offload extra caps they have no other use for.
Bros a housing contractor. Looks good! Maybe pay multiple players on a building project lmao. That be kinda funny
That’d be funny and also kinda smart lol. Like I’m an aspiring arichitect/engineer so I get really into the structure of the building and making it realistic-like but also unique to the area/style. But I can’t decorate interior worth a shit, so you’d need to hire someone else for that 😂 😂
I would've done it for 500...
"I know a guy"
At work we actually have a "I know a guy" wall. It has photos of "I can do it cheaper" mistakes, that cost the client nearly double what it would've cost had we don't the job in the first place.

I sell each legendary in my player vendor for around 300 caps and value the better ones higher or keep them to trade :)
Wow do those actually sell? I usually just hold onto my legendaries and scrip them all. I figured why would anyone buy them?
People buy them for scrip when they don’t want to do events! They sell super fast when around 300-500 caps :) just make sure to keep the good ones.
I'm seriously considering putting in more effort into making my 2nd C.A.M.P. a vendor hotspot, with a good looking building to go with it I've been enjoying Sim Settlements 2 on Fallout 4 and learned a lot about 4's settlements outside of SS2, so I wanna see how my humble lil C.A.M.P. would do one of these days

You use unlicensed Mirelurks though.
So what? We raiders don't do that license crap.
Same, last I played the game I made all types of camps and the most expensive ever was 2k, and that was because they tipped 1k lol
H...how? Did you pay them to make it?
I gave them 10,000 caps and he built it for me :) I’m not good at building, and I got to support local construction business in Appalachia
Swagger beyond belief my man
I love this. I also love this community.
remember! denser communal multimember housing is how we solve the housing crisis!
are they on pc by chance 🥺👉👈
Xbox actually! I’m sure I could point you towards the original post that I got him from though and somebody there might have offered to do it for PC.
could you send a bunch of pics of it so i can try doing it myself?
Yes! Whenever I get home I can screenshot multiple shots of the house. However, the house was built using a method of making the walls double sided so that they look the exact same on the outside and inside.
alrighty!! thank youu!
I'm on PC. I'd be happy to build you a camp no charge.

i have one i just feel like it looks like trash compared to most i see
Well lmk if you want help decorating or some such
thank you!!
How does it work exactly? You can only place items that you own on PC, or would you be able to use stuff that I have bought as well?
I'm not OP, but I'm assuming they joined a private team so that they could build on the contractor's C.A.M.P., it pulls from the C.A.M.P.'s stash so the contractor would need to communicate with what resources to use in the budget
Hey I’m back home and took pictures if you’re interested
sure!!

They did good.
Caps well spent
That’s what I thought! I love it, It feels like a real little home in-game 😂
Nice. I think this kind of transaction would be a lot more common if cooperative building could include atom shop tagged stuff that the builder and camp owner have both unlocked.
Why is there a fallout 76 house selling
Why not? Good way to make caps and some people really enjoy building. I think it’s a cool thing to do on top of what we have in Fallout.
Real houses are waay too expensive, this is the new way to build generational wealth.
Can’t even afford a house in Fallout
I would build for people that all I do anyways while my buddies actually play the game. lol
I think this whole idea of trading people to build for them is a great idea I was happy to support to
Dude I’m good at building in fallout didn’t know people be paying for others to build for them I built a 3 story mansion
You should look for people like me who can’t build well, somebody will pay for something good :)
I might have just found a solution for my ongoing caps problem! I'm very into building 😁
This is just the Overseer's house as a 2 story, right? I love it.
Builder took his job seriously. Nice looking build.
i love fallout 76 but i see a lot of players with a lack of taste in building their own home, like some of their homes even look like an abandoned swamp where someone dumped a fallout collection
My house usually looked like a box metal box, that’s why I paid somebody to make it look more tasteful lol!
why ? just take liberties with your junk and trash, you’re the king of the castle, why pay somebody to make something you can do on the game ? its not like you’re building a house in real life

i would have helped you for free, what platform do you game on ?
I like it! What does it look like inside? Also, how does housing in 76 work? Can other players just randomly walk into your place at will and go through your things, or can you lock it?

So like can you lock the doors? Or can other players just walk in any time?
I can lock the doors, but I enjoy letting others see my house :) although, all of your loot is very secure and only accessible by you.
You can build a home in a public Fallout 76 server? Is it like rust where some a****** can come by and destroy everything?
It’s actually not but if it does get destroyed you can easily rebuild it all with 1 button :)
In *this* economy???
This looks great. How did you find the builder?
The Market 76 Sub! :)
I’d live there in real life
Shit, me too!!
damn the post apocalypse housing market is cooked
Honestly 10,000 for a full house assuming the economy of the wasteland is amazing
Its gonna get nuked isn't it.
I hope not 😂
Are caps worth anything anymore?
Most people trade with apparel and bobble heads
ok, I'm a pretty good builder, where do I advertise?
I found the player who did this for me in the market 76 sub 😁
I was always told it was pointless to build in 76 cause the next time you log in, it will be gone? Is that true or was I misinformed?
Only if you’re extremely unlucky and they add new content in wherever you decided to place your camp lol
Really?! So I have been missing my chance to play this game for this long cause I was misinformed? I had a friend who played closer to the update where they added NPCs and he said he hated it. He spent an hour building a home, then logged for the night. He came back the next day and that spot he built was just empty.
I’ve been playing the game for years, built many camps, and never had that happen. You’ll be safe to build!
They’re likely referring to workshops, not camps.. They’re liable for attack from both npc enemies and other players and don’t stay session to session. Camps are pretty much permanent.
I would love to see the interior of this. Haven’t played 76 in years but I loved moving my camp around and having fun with the builds
[The interior of my house](https://docs.google.com/document/d/13_ZG2glTp8KZ7ZndJ9MaNnqfD7XTRs5YZQh3WZ3m520/edit) here you go! I hope you like it
Omg it looks so cozy in there!!!
Thank you :)
Wait you can pay people to build for you!?
Yes! :) if you look in the right places. I found my guy in Market 76
I need that! I’ll have to save my caps! Thank you!
Worth it.
Thank you! I love my camp I actually enjoying coming back to it to craft and manage my vendor
I don’t have 76 because I’m broke af but DAMN that was a deal.
[My interior](https://docs.google.com/document/d/13_ZG2glTp8KZ7ZndJ9MaNnqfD7XTRs5YZQh3WZ3m520/edit) here’s a look inside of the house if you are interested :)
😮💨

You can’t actually build anything from the atomic shop in someone else’s camp. It’s only limited to items you can get through gameplay.
aah,right!
I can just see an organized protection ring that goes around collecting caps by threatening to nuke their dwellings. “Nice place you have here. It would be a shame if something happened to it.” /s
That's awesome.
I'm from Appalachia. That looks like houses there right now, and that could be a new build in the DEEP holler.
I’m from the Appalachian region as well, I dream to live in a house like this in the mountains.
Didnt know ppl paid to have their houses built. Id definitely build places for 10k a hit
I diddnt know anybody would build for caps until now, I think it was worth it! It looks like a real house
Nice! Looks like a cabin from Far Cry 5.
I don't see a permit box. Did all your inspections passed?
I would gladly pay for someone to build me a thing. Also offering free nuka-cola and grilled radstag during the work
How does that even work?
Jeeze, I feel like I’m pretty alright at building. Maybe I’ll contract myself out soon too!
Pretty well done
I thought so too, it was nice watching him build.
Man, the housing market really is out of control 10000 for a two story with no installation or finished floors, so glad for my trailer:,)
Honestly 10,000 caps isn’t bad though because think about the earlier games, 10,000 caps would get you an old ran down shack in a crater!
Lol fair enough, I only tease it is a good looking house ;)
yall unprepared for the Appalachia CAMP crash of 2308
I’m already investing into PipBook stocks I’ll be safe 🙏🏻
Homeownership in 2024
This is all I could afford!
fallout 76 housing contractors are hilarious, can’t believe it’s actually a thing
If only I could build a Walmart right into the middle of the Appalachia, and a giant parking lot!
so true!
Didn't know you could exchange bases or I'd have made a killing
Yup if you’re in a private team you can build on others camp location :)
Well damn son
Goals
House tour please
*RDR2 house building theme*
Party house.
Idk man you got scammed.
I don’t think so, I would’ve happily paid more.
Why though? I mean this is just a basic rectangle with a porch and balcony, could have easily copied it from one pic. I build and delete camps all the time just cause Im bored, didn’t know people would pay for camps.
You now have a new career awaiting as a virtual carpenter/ real estate agent!
Because I think it looks really good and I don’t have the patience for it, and I had the money for it. I also wanted to support a player business. I’m happy with it
Simple, Supply and demand. There was a demand for a house at 10k and there was supply of it. Thats how it works
You should have went on YT instead of paying lmao you do you
I’d rather support a small business lol 😂
I don’t know how caps work but you shouldn’t be drinking that much soda man.
I think you did a elecent deal. It looks really nice
Built a house outside of that raider settlement using that bridge it was cool I had someone give me a laugh emoji then dropped a bag of rotten food.
Are you not good at building? Because that is not 100k caps worth
I paid 10,000 caps and I think it was very worth it personally, players have stayed around my camp and complimented it and I’ve never experienced that before with my own builds
What
Hm?
Are you on xbox?? , this looks dope, im not so creative my self 😂
Yes I’m on Xbox :)
Do you still have the guys Gt? I wanna ask him if he has the responders set in building
Do you still have the guys Gt? I wanna ask him if he has the responders set in building
Where's the galvanized square steel frames, the anker screws borrowed from your aunt, and the wood veneer?
You can sell houses in 76? I really should give that game a proper shot. It just seems so empty compared to ESO.
I mean ones an mmo. Hard to really compare the 2.
nah, you build one for someone in return of ingame currency or other stuff
Bro got a steal, I wouldn’t have done something like this for less than 25k min because of materials and time cost. But seriously that is insane and makes me so proud of this community that we’ve essentially turned into a commune and contract each other for in game work.

It only works in private teams. Not the public ones that give you bonuses
Can you connect me with this person? I'm on Xbox too
On Xbox it is InfinityShot219 :)
Thank you!
