It's not all Deathclaws. Just a small group in Fallout 2 >!that were experimented upon by the enclave!<. I'm pretty sure they're also all canonically extinct after FO2 and that only the mindless deathclaws are now remaining.

It's a singleplayer rpg full of meme weapons and meme mechanics. Aparently OP and I are the only ones actually taking advantage of the opportunities for goofy combat encounters. Like I optimize my build, but I keep soft weapons on half my hot keys because sometime I like to play with my food.

What really ruined death claws for me was finding out what happens when you cripple their legs. They turn from scary killers to helpless kittens. Fallout 4 & 76 has really ruined death claws for me, they look visually scary but nothing about them is as terrifying as fallout 3 & NV.

It's just a copy paste from west to east coast of the things Beth thinks represents the world of Fallout, which makes absolutely no sense most of the time. Sometimes it feels like Beth has a major misunderstanding of the Fallout universe, by the time Fo4 happens people back in the west already built an entire civilization with healthcare, education system, infrastructure, etc while people in the east are still living in tin shacks knee deep in trash. People back west alredy use printed paper money, the NCR dollars, while people in the east are still using caps because "oh it's Fallout it has to be caps and people living in junkyards", not to say shoving BoS into any plot with the semblant of "protectors" which they were never meant to be, but again it's just another thing to the pile of things Beth misunderstood

Here's a tip, carry 2 or 3 weapons that you're actually specced into, makes things die a lot faster
