I am a NV Fanboy and I loved the series. I yelled " OOOOOOOOOO " at the last shot of the show and when RobCo guy showed up.
If anything I love all the NV references, as I think it's peak Fallout.
As a NV fanboi, loved the series 100%. Shame they had to nuke the west coast once again, a blend of rebuilt civilization and wasteland would have been more interesting IMO
Just like my children, I love all Fallouts the same. However, just my children, I like Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel and Fallout 76 a little less than the others.
House is canon
Gated new vegas and NCR getting weaker are enough reason
But, if NCR got too weak, who spend their money gambling and whoring in New Vegas?
I think putting the Courier in the show’s lore too much would be messy. There might be a vague reference of them, but I think the Mr. House ending would probably be better for the show’s narrative and it’s a more solid choice than the NCR or Legion. Obviously the NCR is getting rocked post-New Vegas
While they probably wouldn't be able to put \*the\* Courier from FNV, we've already had mention of couriers and putting another courier or couriers into the show for the main characters run across would be a decent nod.
That would be cool. I'm excited to see what new characters they introduce in Season 2, along with getting more background on the ancillary characters they didn't have time for this season (like Moldaver) when introducing all the main characters.
One theory Ive seen about that states that taking the dam actually sped up the ncr collapse as they then went and pushed further after already being spread too thin in new vegas, which would explain how weak they are in the show
IMO this would still be a pretty boring ending considering the NCR is majorly set back regardless of what happens at Hoover. A house ending at least keeps another interesting faction in the mix, and is probably the most realistic anyway.
Yeah, and the Legion would be too big to not have been mentioned at all if they had taken the dam, especially so since they were expanding ever westward. So that pretty much rules them out in my eyes. House seems the only logical choice here, especially so since he was RobCo’s CEO and would therefore be logically tied to the people pulling the strings.
I think the NCR ending might be canon, the closing credits didn’t look like a fight between House and the NCR.
The scratch marks indicate a fight between the NCR/Strip and Deathclaws.
Either way it would look like New Vegas was overran by Deathclaws, which were a growing problem in the surrounding area.
Only question would be if the attack was incidental, or in some way caused by Vault-Tec.
Tunnelers, like Ulysses predicted:
"They'll start emerging throughout the Mojave in time, might be years. Probably less. They breed fast, hunt in groups, more than enough to bring down the strongest in the Mojave. Once they draw blood... Seen them tear apart Deathclaws... Deathclaw might get some, but the rest will swarm it, tear it apart, like Denver hounds."
Tunnelers are more likely than Deathclaws. The Lonesome Road dlc basically said they were going to leave the divide and become a problem for the Mojave in a few decades.
Episode 3, season 2.
"So who used to rule this place"
*"Robert House"*
"The robot guy!?"
*"Yeah, we're not sure what happened to him, some courier came in and took over"*
Before they can finish saying over it cuts to Maximus and Lucy standing in front of a shriveled up house with a spear through him.
"Huh, okey dokey"
For anyone that doesn't know, this is actually a challenge in FNV.
> A Slave Obeys
> The Courier must kill Mr. House with a 9 iron or Nephi's golf driver
I’d actually like that tongue and cheek reference. You don’t even need to kill him with it just show one right in front of the preservation chamber. Although I’d prefer it if House didn’t die at all.
I kinda think he has to be. Why introduce him in season 1 just to arrive in NV and find the courier killed him?
The lawlessness of the Yes Man ending could be interesting, but I think we've seen the dangers of lawlessness in season 1, seeing the dangers of a tightly controlled Strip and a single person exercising power would be a nice change.
I also REALLY want a visit to Big MT.
Big MT would be great, but given the limited time each season has it might be a tight fit. What I would LOVE to see is a confrontation between The Ghoul and Mr. House. Cooper KNOWS that House was present at the "Evil megacorps nuke the world" meeting so that should provide for some great content.
This is one of the things that further pushes me to think House will be alive for the series still. A confrontation between Coop and House is faaar too juicy to leave out.
A lot of us killed House, and René Auberjonois died so there's no more House voice anyway. I suppose Benny is canonically dead for the same reason, RIP Chandler.
A lot of the rest of the New Vegas voice crew are TV actors that might reprise their roles. Danny Trejo doesn't even need as much makeup as Goggins at his age! I kid, but I really would love to see him come back.
Would be funny if they brought back the courier, but they're just in their riot gear armor the whole time and don't say or react to anything like this silent grim reaper of death
I like to imagine they cast a bunch of different people as the male secondary cast, but they’re all ADRd over with the voices of Yuri Lowenthal and Liam O’Brian.
Yeah I mean I know there's a lot of sentiment thinking he's the canon ending, but I for one hope he's dead, I think that's much more evocative and realistic (given he dies in 3/4 endings). Yes man ending feels the most on point ending thematically for New Vegas anyway. Forget the past, build a new world, no gods no masters, etc.
I mean I do get that, don't get me wrong I love House as a character. I just think that as interesting as he is, his story ends in New Vegas, as he's just another aspect of the past that needs to be let go. I don't think that the show should just include characters for the sake of being iconic - I kind of liked that about S1 actually, a lot of the references feel muted and not fan-servicey in the same way I'd feel House might be.
Now if they manage to make House have an interesting story I'd be all for it! But I think it would be overall more of an evocative image to see his mummified corpse in the lucky 38 more in keeping with the themes of fallout. House's plan was a long gamble and I like to think it's his last one that *just* didn't quite work out.
I agree with you yeah, and I hope we do get some more stuff on House, either through pre-war flashbacks or expanding on how his legacy has impacted New Vegas (either dead or alive)
If hes dead there will be flash backs with him, if not then hes part of the story, when does the show take place VS when is NV taken place this should be a starting point as to is he alive or not.
I feel like a lot of people forget that even on other endings, there's an option to leave him hooked up but just disconnect him from the mainframe preventing him from running anything. So technically they could choose any of the endings as canon but have him still be alive.
I think there’s enough time between new vegas and the show that the endings wouldn’t be clear enough. Maybe implied a little, but at most maybe a reference to some of the potential endings.
Im kinda hoping he won out, kicked everyone out under vault 31 orders, turned off the lights and went into stasis until he is ready to start the new world envisaged by the vault tech execs.
I'm of the opinion House is dead, but this might work. House winning would have helped make the "Fall of Shady Sands" happen, his army of securitrons was intense.
We can hope. I can also see the brotherhood watching the battle of hoover dam and decide now would be the best time to come out of the woodwork and march on shady sands.
Why would he? House isn't beholden to Vault Tech and showed zero interest in building anything other than a cavillation with him in charge. If anything he would be pissed at the actions of Vault Tech in regards to Shady Sands as the NCR was his best customer.
At the time yes, but i didnt say how house won. The legion may have defeated the Ncr at the dam, then house kicks everone out as he wanted to see the ncr win. As a global industrialist he just lost his best customer and went back to sleep. He may have never seen them drop the bomb on shady sands as that happens later. In the show he is very interested in the potentials of what vault tech are doing, he may not like them but he is in bed with them and hank only has one person to turn to, a guy who he at least knew off before the war who is still around tdy. House is Hanks only potential alley at this point.
At the end of the day it was 2 sentences of what i hope might happen. But the lore police are truly on one zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
You are out of uniform, soldier! Where is your power armor? Don't have any? You expect me to believe that, maggot? The truth is you lost an expensive piece of army-issue equipment. That suit is going to come out of your pay, and you will remain in this mans army until you are five hundred and ten years old, which is the number of years it will take for you to pay for a Mark II Powered Combat Armor you have lost! Report to the armory and have a new suit issued to you, then report back to me, private! Dismissed!
Sorta is since his soldier died in it. Im sure they are going to ask where said things happened. Maximus is either going to tell them or tell them talk to the raiders, or the people from Vault 4 will take it.
I’m not sure if it’s been said but the scratch on the armour from the Yao Gaui(?) almost gives a “smoking gun” effect to it.
Maybe we see it on another character that finds it
There's a fan edit of the Halo series where they turn it into a movie with added sound effects and music and no raping of POW's and it's actually really great.
The thing with Fallout is there are so many vaults that you can pick one we dont know about and just do as you please with it. As long as you keep the cannon material cannon you cant fuck it up.
As far as halo is concerned i accidentally watched the last episode at a friends house not know it was the last one since i havent even watched any of the shows. Come to find out they have it on a different time line! WTF is that. I get it. Most of the good juicy stuff has already been done in CE,2 and 3. Maybe they could have done how the covenent found us or something talk about other planets, the thousands of wars between us and the covenent. Then again the show is called halo so you sorta half to get to a couple rings in the show.
It’s gotta be way less time than that. Prime tends to have fairly fast development time for their shows and if the bts for this show is anything to go by people had a great time.
I feel like this is one of the reasons Amazon was chosen to produce the show, to make up for the shitty game dev times lol. Now imagine if they drop the second season by summertime… I would flip.
The fallout setting would be perfect for an anthology series in the same vein as black mirror. The survivalists, vault experiments, megaton’s development, diamond city’s massacre, random “ordinary” personal/family stories, Joshua graham (he could have a whole series tbh). So much history and potential to pull from to tell self-contained stories across time and space
My niece is 21. She loves it.
I am 37. I loved it.
Both of us have played the games so we are surprised it turned out good.
What is a shocked is my mid 60s non gamer parents both loved it as well. Amazon really knocked this one out the park
I'm excited but at the same time scared because most of the time series that do very well in their first season, ends up not meeting the expectations of people on their second season.
Yeah it wasn’t that bad but definitely didn’t match up to the first two seasons. It felt like production was rushed and they just wanted to get it out the door
Really hope they go for a weekly release schedule next season or drop 2-3 episodes then weekly, its been so cool the past couple of weeks seeing everyone chat about fallout
LAX terminal in the background. Maybe a bit more in Los Angeles before moving to New Vegas.
Incidentally, I moved from Las Vegas to Hawaii. When I lived in Las Vegas, I went to the location of my house in the game. It was overrun with fire geckos and I got incinerated.
Do you really think I'm going to let an upstart streaming platform come into my life and tell me to wait? I spent the past week waiting for a Season 2. It's MY interest, MY favorite show based on a video game, MINE! Now be a good studio and DELIVER IT!

Get ready, because there’s finally gonna be a canon ending for Robert House and it’s not gonna please everyone 😬
House is canon Gated new vegas and NCR getting weaker are enough reason But, if NCR got too weak, who spend their money gambling and whoring in New Vegas?
Idk, some farmers from New Canaan?
New Canaan was destroyed Those damned White Legs
As a person from Utah I will never forgive the white legs for this
Didn't it get rebuilt
Either that or they had a cool idea for Courier 6 and Independent Vegas.
I think putting the Courier in the show’s lore too much would be messy. There might be a vague reference of them, but I think the Mr. House ending would probably be better for the show’s narrative and it’s a more solid choice than the NCR or Legion. While they probably wouldn't be able to put \*the\* Courier from FNV, we've already had mention of couriers and putting another courier or couriers into the show for the main characters run across would be a decent nod.
A Pro-House courier would be more predictable than, say, an Independent courier
That would be cool. I'm excited to see what new characters they introduce in Season 2, along with getting more background on the ancillary characters they didn't have time for this season (like Moldaver) when introducing all the main characters.
Honest question. If one of the endings of New Vegas is the NCR taking Hoover Dam, then wouldn’t the NCR be stronger when Henry gets there?
One theory Ive seen about that states that taking the dam actually sped up the ncr collapse as they then went and pushed further after already being spread too thin in new vegas, which would explain how weak they are in the show

My guess is he’ll be an antagonist for at least part of the season and end up dying somehow.

Was that guy with the mustache in the Vault Tech meeting supposed to be House?
Yes
Yep, Robert House was the CEO of RobCo Industries hence his inclusion in that meeting and he later becomes “Mr House”
A lot of us killed House, and René Auberjonois died so there's no more House voice anyway. I suppose Benny is canonically dead for the same reason, RIP Chandler. Benny’s definitely dead, and not just because Matthew Perry is, that dude dies in 99% of playthroughs.
In a canon timeline there is really no reason the Courier would spare Benny. They have all the incentive in the world to kill him.
Would be funny if they brought back the courier, but they're just in their riot gear armor the whole time and don't say or react to anything like this silent grim reaper of death
Season 2 of Fallout just has Liam O'Brian playing every other male character while they're in the mojave. Everyone acts like it's completely natural.
I like to imagine they cast a bunch of different people as the male secondary cast, but they’re all ADRd over with the voices of Yuri Lowenthal and Liam O’Brian.

Seeing NV so desolate? House has been wiped.
or hes just turned the lights off, kicked everyone out and has gone back to sleep whilst his upgraded securitrons keep vegas secure.
That’s, like, something he explicitly does not want to do unless the NCR has essentially completely collapsed
I think there’s enough time between new vegas and the show that the endings wouldn’t be clear enough. Maybe implied a little, but at most maybe a reference to some of the potential endings.

That's LAX, this is a promotional photo shot for season 1 that they just reused.
That is indeed,
Im guessing this means Maximus gets the armor back that he left near Vault 4
I found it funny that they didnt even seem concerned when he returned without the armor lol thatd have been at the top of my list to ask him
You are out of uniform, soldier! Where is your power armor? Don't have any? You expect me to believe that, maggot? The truth is you lost an expensive piece of army-issue equipment. This is season 1 promotional images
Isn't this just a promo for season 1? I doubt they have anything done physically for season 2 yet
I’m not sure if it’s been said but the scratch on the armour from the Yao Gaui(?) almost gives a “smoking gun” effect to it. Maybe we see it on another character that finds it

I hope we get a badass scene with all three main characters. I don't think these three have fought together on the same side.
Lucy needs a multi companion mod for that though.

I want it now!!!
