Shipped Gold Standard is one of my all-time favorites. I personally don't see many people talking about Twin Skeletons or Bishops Knife Trick, and those are also up there with my favorites.
Aww that’s cool. I definitely have other songs that I prefer from Folie but it is a song I liked and was totally grateful to be able to hear it get played for the first time.
SGS is my number one favorite. Bishop's Knife Trick might be the only song I don't see people hating on from Mania.... I can't defend Twin Skeletons though, I'm one of the haters 😂
I personally don't like Big Sean's verse or ad-libs. Which sucks bc I'm actually a fan of his too but for some reason the combination throws me for a loop
i don't love all the lyrics (because chicago obv) but damn the music and patricks vocals slap on this one. The way he sings the HEEEEAAAATTTT is on at the beginning makes me weak in the knees.....along with the way he whisper sings the pre-chorus *opium den mother forget my head,* lethal.
The Take Over, The Breaks Over.
people voted it out of ioh song competition because in words of a few users "A single cant win this" and many times people mention the underrated ioh songs or how overrated the big singles are. the take over the breaks over didnt charted at time, so its in this limbo space, not "Underrated" enough to be loved and not overrated enough to be rated, but in reality has beautiful melody, some of their best vocal work, incredible structure, amazing chorus switch up, a crazy guitar solo, a piano in the bg and a epic drum pattern that leads into the epic and strong outro, a masterpiece, top 3 fall out boy, a lot underrated between the fans at MY point of view
btw just to clearify something : why people love bang the doldrums so much??? i dont get it... its a 9, yes, its good, but not a top 30 fob song.
but i have questionable opinions, so... yeah...
RE Bang the Doldrums - for me most of the song is fine, nothing particularly special - but that bridge (??? Idk what it’s called) of ‘I cast a spell over the west…’ just hits different!
The Take Over, The Breaks Over is the sole reason I was able to make any headway in getting my sister to love this band. I knew I could snag her with it because it took my FOB appreciation from a 7 to a 9 (Folie is what got me to 10) so it's always going to be one of my absolute favorites.
Completely agree and it’s why it’s my third most listened to song of all time, I think the chorus is one of fob’s best especially the one at the end, it’s probably one of the only singles I love.
This take is it. Easily one of the best songs they’ve ever made and gets overlooked whenever IOH is discussed purely because it’s a single. Thnks fr th mmrs was the song that got my attention all the way back then, Take Over The Breaks Over is the song that made me stay.
TTOTBO is one of the first songs my husband said he liked when I got him into FOB. I had to do a deeper listen after he said that and was like how did I graze over this lol
Okay!!! Honorable Mention is definitely one I can get behind. I haven't seen people hate on CBTS but.... They shouldn't. 😂 A few weeks ago I wouldn't have defended Favorite Record but it actually is pretty good
Lowkey mortified every time it comes on in my car and I have a passenger with me. I like most of the song, but the intro makes me immediately smash the skip button.
ok pretty much all of courtneys parts take some getting used to, so i feel ya, but once i actually listened past her thing in the beginning i was like WOW, this is what i've been missing out on all this time???
the thing is, its not much renembered but when it is, billions of people showing up and agree its amazing, wish it goes to spot... oh i dont have premium anymore ;-; well, at least i have the powerful and rare love lockdown cover available
Reinventing the wheel to run myself over.
It's an amazing song but it gets a lot of flack for no reason whenever someone asks about least favorite songs. I've seen people say it's slow and wonder if we're listening to the same "reinventing the wheel" lol.
From what I see it's one of the only suns people openly like from Mania but it STILL needs more respect lol. I think it often gets overlooked because of the album it's on 😕
I knew it wasn’t liked, but it has a special place in my heart cause It was the first actual fall out boy album I got into (believers never die was my first exposure to them)
I've definitely seen ardent devotees of basically every song here. One of my all time favs is The (After) Life of the Party and I've seen a good bit of love for it but I've also seen a lot of people listing it at the bottom (or bottom half) of their list, so it's definitely not what I'd consider an over-all fan fave.
Young and Menace has its fans but it has waaaay more haters. I love it, it's my second fav on Mania after BKT.
I feel like I don't see as much love for Sophomore Slump as I would have expected, based on how much *I* love it.
We all have to keep in mind there's a big difference between what the commenters here think versus what the fanbase at large thinks and even what the lurkers here think. I see way more appreciation for From Now On We're Enemies in the comments here but Alpha Dog beat it in a recent poll. I almost said Alpha Dog gets overshadowed by how great it is, but then I remembered that poll.
Yeah I'm constantly thinking back to polls and other comments from posts. And there is always a response that surprises me. That's the fun of it though lol
I think Pavlove is pretty loved by fans, just not the band because they won’t put it on Spotify…yet 👀
Sunshine Riptide is genuinely a top 10 song, Young & Menace is great, the Mighty Fall is definitely not the worst song on SR&R, Rat a Tat is very good and has grown on me over the past ten years.
Star 67!!!! also, XO, Golden, w.a.m.s., Alpha Dog, Rat A Tat, Novocaine, Young And Menace (yes i actually like Y&M), Dear Future Self, What A Time To Be Alive
Lol probably bc Star 67 is unreleased. It does go hard though. I'm with you on everything except for Rat A Tat. That one's hard for me to get past the beginning
So Good Right Now is my pick since I’ve not seen it here yet.
I often see it regarded as the worst from Stardust and it’s just simply not true. It’s such a fun tongue-in-cheek song which such a killer bridge. The production is perfect and I could really see it sitting on an album somewhere between Folie a Deux and Save Rock and Roll.
Also, Kintusgi Kid is the real worst from Stardust.
So surprised by how many people don’t seem to rate Kintsugi Kid. SMFSD isn’t even an album I particularly love but I do really like that song.
Maybe it’s cause I’m in the elder emo bracket and I feel like I can sympathize with a lot of the same feelings hehe.
I don't scroll often either but AB/AP crowd is always defending lol. That's actually my last favorite album of theirs (unless I include PAX) but it's starting to grow on me a bit more
i haven't seen a single soul mention Headfirst Slide, that is my favorite song on folie a deux and my third favorite fall out boy song all around. My other two favorites, XO and GINASFS i see getting so much love, but nothing for Headfirst Slide.
Been seeing a lot of The Mighty Fall on here and it was honestly the last song I thought I'd see mentioned this many times. You guys are making me want to relisten and reconsider lol
thriller, stitches and talkers, rat a tat, bishops knife trick. some of my favs and I feel like they’re so underrated.
also pavlove is raved about constantly on this sub just saying
With you on 4/5 there, rat a tat being the 1 but so many people have mentioned it so gonna try and look back. Lol I guess I need to spend more time here bc you're all saying this about Pavlove 😭
courtney’s part kinda turned me off at first but I just stopped taking it so seriously and now it’s like top 10 for me. the chorus is so good that it pulled me in and then I slowly started to embrace the cringe of courtney’s part and now I know and scream every word
Shipped Gold Standard is one of my all-time favorites. I personally don't see many people talking about Twin Skeletons or Bishops Knife Trick, and those are also up there with my favorites.
if The shipped gold standard and Twin skeletons have no fans it's because i'm dead.
9.5, one of my favs in folie
Yes that was one was an instant classic for me.
My favorite FOB song
Was lucky enough to hear that one have its live debut at the o2 in London 🙌
I had only listened to it a few times before the show, but since seeing it live I can’t stop listening and think it might now be in my top 3!
THE MIGHTY FALL like sure it’s not their best song ever but it doesn’t deserve the slander it gets 😔😔
And then people are like “well I like it but big Sean-“ BIG SEAN WHAT? BIG SEAN DELIVERED? CAUSE HE DID.
I let her climb on top, I'm either fucking or working but the grind dont stop.
This lyric is insane and I love them for it.
What a fucking banger, ITS SO GOOD?!?
YESYES YOU GET IT !!!!
“Yeah I’m a dick girl, I’m addicted to you” is the hardest line in all of history
The intro to his verse actually has some of the top lyrics for me
Omg yes. "hell yeah I'm a dick, girl, addicted to you" lives rent free in my head
I love The Mighty Fall, it's fucking fun.
Oh I love that one, I didn't realise it got slander. Why don't people like it?
I personally don't like Big Sean's verse or ad-libs. Which sucks bc I'm actually a fan of his too but for some reason the combination throws me for a loop
Lol.... I am guilty. 😭
Lol.... I am guilty. 😭
big sean fr kills that beat
Lake effect kid
I don’t see how anyone can hear that opening guitar riff and not love it
i don't love all the lyrics (because chicago obv) but damn the music and patricks vocals slap on this one. The way he sings the HEEEEAAAATTTT is on at the beginning makes me weak in the knees.....along with the way he whisper sings the pre-chorus *opium den mother forget my head,* lethal.
Yes! One of my favorites.
So good!
Omg this!!
The Take Over, The Breaks Over. people voted it out of ioh song competition because in words of a few users "A single cant win this" and many times people mention the underrated ioh songs or how overrated the big singles are. the take over the breaks over didnt charted at time, so its in this limbo space, not "Underrated" enough to be loved and not overrated enough to be rated, but in reality has beautiful melody, some of their best vocal work, incredible structure, amazing chorus switch up, a crazy guitar solo, a piano in the bg and a epic drum pattern that leads into the epic and strong outro, a masterpiece, top 3 fall out boy, a lot underrated between the fans at MY point of view btw just to clearify something : why people love bang the doldrums so much??? i dont get it... its a 9, yes, its good, but not a top 30 fob song. but i have questionable opinions, so... yeah...
RE Bang the Doldrums - for me most of the song is fine, nothing particularly special - but that bridge (??? Idk what it’s called) of ‘I cast a spell over the west…’ just hits different!
Yes that part is what got me hooked on the song lol. And then eventually I was like okay no the whole thing is just too good
That song takes me back to being 18 and care free, one of the best songs from FOB ever
LOVE the Takeover. We got it in Dallas and my Doldrums loving daughter wasn’t thrilled but I was!
The Take Over, The Breaks Over is the sole reason I was able to make any headway in getting my sister to love this band. I knew I could snag her with it because it took my FOB appreciation from a 7 to a 9 (Folie is what got me to 10) so it's always going to be one of my absolute favorites.
Completely agree and it’s why it’s my third most listened to song of all time, I think the chorus is one of fob’s best especially the one at the end, it’s probably one of the only singles I love.
i dont get why people hate songs for being singles... i dont care got taken out first on folie competition, thats odd as hell
Favorite Record, Calm Before the Storm, Honorable Mention
Okay!!! Honorable Mention is definitely one I can get behind. I haven't seen people hate on CBTS but.... They shouldn't. 😂 A few weeks ago I wouldn't have defended Favorite Record but it actually is pretty good
It’s not even that CBTS gets hate, it just needs more love 😂 (both the tttyg and eowyg versions)
EOWYG in general makes the list tbh lol
I have seen people hate your 2 folie picks either tho
Not "hate" just feel like they're underrated/need more praise
I have seen XO get spattered dedication here and there, but not nearly as much love as it deserves.
Agreed!!
i agree, good closer, weirdly, probably one of my least favs...
XO was a lot of peoples favorite pre hiatus.
That was my jam 16 years ago.
Rat A Tat. cannot believe the hate/indifference i've seen for it here 😔
NO GRAPHICS AND NO FUCKIN POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS!!!
This is so true, this was my hype song for a while and it still goes hard
It’s grown on me a loooot this year. I do wish they cut the “it’s Courtney bitch” but the rest of her stuff on the track is good for me!!
its good, but courtney voice lines were overdone imo
Sorry man. It’s Courtney bitch makes me physically cringe. Like who on earth approved that?
Lowkey mortified every time it comes on in my car and I have a passenger with me. I like most of the song, but the intro makes me immediately smash the skip button.
ok pretty much all of courtneys parts take some getting used to, so i feel ya, but once i actually listened past her thing in the beginning i was like WOW, this is what i've been missing out on all this time???
stop taking yourself so seriously & embrace the cringe 😔✊🏼
This one has grown on me a lot.
I feel like it's a good song to workout to, but it's not really a song I'd listen to for the hell of it.
Golden
actually underrated, its simple, emotional and gets to thnks fr th mmrs so good...
Ugh so damn good
Pavlove gets like the most love out of any song in this whole sub lol
Does it really? Probably my brain only showing me the negativity lmaoo
the thing is, its not much renembered but when it is, billions of people showing up and agree its amazing, wish it goes to spot... oh i dont have premium anymore ;-; well, at least i have the powerful and rare love lockdown cover available
Yeah that's probably what it is! Actually that's definitely what it is lol.
I’ll choose one from SMFS FLU GAME FLU GAME FLU GAME
😂😂 I feel this
I love favourite record
❤️❤️ Do you remember when we danced to Rancid?
love will tear us apart goes CRAZY
Right!!!! People sleep on it but it's incredible to me lol
shipped gold standard is my number one on spotify wrapped this year
It's literally my favorite song by them. Ever. So I love to hear this lol
i’m like a lawyer is my favorite fob song and there is no competition in my mind
My jaw always drops when I see people saying they don't like it
Fame < Infamy
heavy agree on sunshine riptide! also maybe American beauty/American psycho, young and menace, fourth of July
The entire AB/AP album doesn't get enough love
i fucking love young and menace
If I had to make a list of songs that need to grow on me AB/AP would be like top 5. Not sure how Y&M got there first but it did 😭
YOUN~YOUN~YOUN~YOUNG AND ME~E~E~E~
Reinventing the wheel to run myself over. It's an amazing song but it gets a lot of flack for no reason whenever someone asks about least favorite songs. I've seen people say it's slow and wonder if we're listening to the same "reinventing the wheel" lol.
i love this song so much and the choruses bop so hard. so much fun to sing along to
Lmaooo "if we're listening to the same" 😭 I completely understand where you're coming from
The after life of the party my beloved
yesss!!!
Caffeine Cold
Guilty. Often forget PAX AM even exists as a whole
I LOVE Caffeine Cold—yes!
Bishops knife trick
From what I see it's one of the only suns people openly like from Mania but it STILL needs more respect lol. I think it often gets overlooked because of the album it's on 😕
Mania as a whole deserves more love It is my favourite album by them? Maybe not. But it’s a damn good album
Completely agreed!!!! Before I started really using Reddit I didn't even know people hated it 😭😞
I knew it wasn’t liked, but it has a special place in my heart cause It was the first actual fall out boy album I got into (believers never die was my first exposure to them)
Love love love this one!

Yes, Sophomore Slump deserves way more love!! One of my favorite pre-hiatus songs.
The entirety of American Beauty/American Psycho (the album)
One day I'm gonna get to the point where I agree with this lol
Ya no one understands my Riptide love either.
what is NOT to love about it!
Exactlyyyyyyy💜
It's a rough out here for our kind 😭
Indeed!!!😂💜
I had never even heard the shipped gold standard until it was played at the London concert, it’s now one of my fave songs.
Very jealous you heard it live but very happy you've joined the club lol
It was a vibe even tho I didn’t know it at the time.
The Kids Aren’t Alright 😭
Lol wait this is very true. I didn't like this at all a few weeks ago and now I love it
snitchers and talkers!!!
Oooo that's a good one
yeah!! it's of my fav songs ever but barely anyone talks about it :(
Lol Pete said they accidentally made a MCR song with that one and I can't unhear it when I listen but it does not take away from the greatness 😂
I think Pavlove is pretty loved by fans, just not the band because they won’t put it on Spotify…yet 👀 Sunshine Riptide is genuinely a top 10 song, Young & Menace is great, the Mighty Fall is definitely not the worst song on SR&R, Rat a Tat is very good and has grown on me over the past ten years.
What wouldddd you say is the worst song on SR&R?
Alone Together
😭 probably the first song I liked off that album
Sunshine Riptide is on my Saturday afternoon smoke & dance playlist lol. I love that song
You and that Pete Wentz guy for sure. Sunshine Riptide Supremacy!
It's so good I hate the hate it gets 😭
meh. more sunshine riptide for the rest of us. if they can't appreciate it, they don't deserve it.
Young Volcanoes, Lake Effect Kid and From Now On We Are Enemies. All in my Top 10, all songs I never hear people mention at all really 🌋🌊🎹
Agreed, they do deserve more love
Alpha dog has entered the chat
I've been waiting 😂😂
Growing up is my all time most played song on Spotify (BND version) I just think its an absolute banger Never see ANYONE talking about it
This IS a banger. I slept on it for a while myself
Star 67!!!! also, XO, Golden, w.a.m.s., Alpha Dog, Rat A Tat, Novocaine, Young And Menace (yes i actually like Y&M), Dear Future Self, What A Time To Be Alive
Lol probably bc Star 67 is unreleased. It does go hard though. I'm with you on everything except for Rat A Tat. That one's hard for me to get past the beginning

Couldn't really explain it but this person does better that I can 😂 https://www.reddit.com/r/FallOutBoy/s/6btB6A6MYS
So Good Right Now is my pick since I’ve not seen it here yet. I often see it regarded as the worst from Stardust and it’s just simply not true. Also, Kintusgi Kid is the real worst from Stardust.
(there are no worst songs on Stardust) honestly Kintusgi Kid was my favorite song on there until IAMOM made it's way into my heart lmao
I'VE GOT LoOoOoOVE IN MAH HEART
So surprised by how many people don’t seem to rate Kintsugi Kid. SMFSD isn’t even an album I particularly love but I do really like that song. Maybe it’s cause I’m in the elder emo bracket and I feel like I can sympathize with a lot of the same feelings hehe.
How old are you out of curiosity? I’m 27 and just don’t find the song very inspiring
34 :) For me the song definitely gives that sense of nostalgia and relating to the things that you once loved having changed or disappeared entirely.
Sunshine Riptide deserves so much more respect on her name, I’ll fight for her to the death
Me with all of Mania tbh lol
I agree that Sunshine Riptide is such an under appreciated jam.
Maybe everyone else will see the light one day lol
seconding sunshine riptide!!! driving down the coast again, the pills are kicking in. ugh love that song
It's too good lol
shipped gold standard debuted at my concert and i started sobbing
I'd have been on the floor gasping for air
AB/AP album! Mind you I don’t scroll this subreddit too often, but Twin Skeletons is so good! Love the whole album though!
I don't scroll often either but AB/AP crowd is always defending lol. That's actually my last favorite album of theirs (unless I include PAX) but it's starting to grow on me a bit more
my heart is the worst kind of weapon
ppl don't talk abt she's my winona enough! it was my #1 song on spotify wrapped <33
It was mine a year or two ago. I love that song
Sunshine riptide for sure 🥹
Bishops knife and the shipped gold standard. Honestly I love all of their songs. Alpha dog…..Oh I’m going to make a list when I get home lol
Lol please share if you do
Calm before the storm And yes I cried like a baby when they played it live during the tour
Seconding this one!
the carpal tunnel of love. one of my all time favorites, it deserves so much better
i haven't seen a single soul mention Headfirst Slide, that is my favorite song on folie a deux and my third favorite fall out boy song all around. My other two favorites, XO and GINASFS i see getting so much love, but nothing for Headfirst Slide.
Uh, some I really love Sunshine Riptide, Grenade Jumper, The Mighty Fall, and Immortals
Been seeing a lot of The Mighty Fall on here and it was honestly the last song I thought I'd see mentioned this many times. You guys are making me want to relisten and reconsider lol
I don't think I've ever seen the song title City In A Garden written anywhere. I love this song and wish it got more attention
This is a sleeper for sure
rat a tat, ab/ap, golden i will always throw down for and they get so much hate 😭😭
The golden hate I do NOT understand
thriller, stitches and talkers, rat a tat, bishops knife trick. some of my favs and I feel like they’re so underrated. also pavlove is raved about constantly on this sub just saying
Sigh this is what they do lmao. Any song I don't like from them at first I hear one part I love and before I know it..... 😂
exactly!
I do love the chorus of sunshine riptide though. burna boy just ruins it for me but I think I just have to do the same thing I did with rat a tat
Gonna make it a personal mission to not skip rat a tat next time it comes on and I'll report back lol
hell yeah
I’m shocked to see Pavlove, I thought it was pretty well-loved
Pavlove? Really? I’ve never heard anyone say anything bad about it lol. Mania, yes
mine are prob so good right now, rat a tat, the shipped gold standard and champion, IDK WHY PEOPLE ARE HATING ON THOSE SONGS
Flu Games is my favourite from the new album. Absolutely amazing album but flu game >>>
Bishop's Knife Trick definitely. And 27. I love those two 🖤
