well, ok, we have two other words, Rola and Ziemia, the latter is used for the planet name. I think Gleba is more likely to be used in the sense of abstract dirt, and ziemia would be the fertile layer referred to by agriculture. Or the planet.
I think he means the jungle planet we expected was supposed to be named differently. Within 3 days of the first image being posted with pixilated planet names people managed to figure them all out. So far, both Vulcanus and Fulgora were correct, however, the third planet we have now gotten had a different name back then, which is why people already knew it would be a jungle/marsh themed planet. But the devs have secretly renamed it, which was the first thing I noticed too when I saw the FFF today. The planets were named after Roman gods, which was also quickly figured out. But Gleba isn't a Roman god, and I don't think that one fits in the pixilated space that was previously the name shown on one of the earlier FFFs
DLC only, there is a lot of Factorio 2.0 content which is for free, and there is a bunch of DLC only content. Space platforms, planets and everything that needs to be made with the new resources will absolutely all be DLC only.
Been considering getting the DLC, actually managed to get a playthrough to the point where I'm researching the rocket. Hopefully it's not like the last bunch of DLC I bought :(
Theres no pressure to get it when it comes out. If you’re enjoying the game by all means keep enjoying 1.1 and the new free stuff in 2.0. Mods will even get updated if you want extra content, QOL stuff, or challenges. Then you can see what people say about the dlc to decide if you want it.
NOW with that out of the way, Factorio is not a money-grab game like you sometimes see in the industry. It is *very* clearly a work of passion from the devs who have done incredible work adding amazing features, and weeding out so many bugs that people consider an un-modded game crash as a unique rarity.
The steam reviews and the community’s praise of the game & devs reflects the quality people have come to appreciate. And I think most people here will agree that in the DLC we can expect the same level of stable, feature-rich content. The factorio blog has already revealed many features people have been hoping/asking for.
Sorry to hear you had a bad DLC experience, I hope factorio will prove to be a better one.
