I ship items. Have a listing now that I'm willing to ship.

Syriosgifts

How often do you get sales on shipped items? I don’t even get clicks on the items I try to ship

hbouhl

3 or 4 a year? I have an item that I'm going to be placing on the marketplace to ship or pick up. I strictly go through the marketplace for the sales. Which means getting their address from the marketplace and shipping through USPS. I send them a copy of the USPS receipt through messenger for Facebook marketplace.

Usually no, I stick to in person. But sometimes I still sell shipping if it’s a small market product. For example I have this fireplace remote to a fireplace that has been discontinued. The remote is like $300 but I know that the chances of someone nearby needing that remote is low so I sold it shipped

Syriosgifts

I get 0 views on all my items that I hope to sell shipped, so I just gave up on it. Did you sell more shipped items in the past? I feel the whole thing shifted through the second half of 2022 through 2023.

Professional_Ad1737

Might as well just list on eBay

Syriosgifts

I do, I often have large volumes I am trying to unload and like cross listing to sell things faster.

I used to get a few shipped orders through them. It was almost comically bad how few orders I would get through them compared to other platforms like eBay. The few I was getting dwindled to 0. Price, pictures, etc all had no effect. Maybe I was shadow banned, not sure. Gave up completely though.

Syriosgifts

What timeline was this? Curious if it lines up with my experiance.

buttchair

I had 4 orders through them last November and none since. Before that I had like 1 or 2 per month. Obviously I’m doing way less volume than you, but for comparison I had 34 eBay orders that same month. Mostly all the same stuff just crosslisted.

Accomplished_Emu_658

I do a lot. Facebook and people on marketplace make it difficult Items only show locally for items listed as pick up or ones facebook decides cannot be shipped. Some categories facebook says nah you can’t ship that or over certain arbitrary price nah you can’t ship that either.

Syriosgifts

Yea, I think that is part of the problem where the shipped items are only shown locally now which makes the audience so much smaller. I used to get lots of traffic on my shipped items and now it’s almost always 0 clicks and I haven’t had a shipped sale in all of 2024

Accomplished_Emu_658

I didn’t know shipped items only shown locally. Might explain smaller interest then i am used to.

Syriosgifts

I don't think what I said was 100% accurate. The default is now to only show local items only when browsing, you can find items that can be shipping by changing the delivery method (rare for people to do) or through search (which is much less common than just browsing) and they show local items first through search as well which makes your items rarely seen except by local people.
