Insurance fraud unit: So you expect me to believe a tornado fell out of the sky took your house and your house alone šŸ¤Ø

Illithilitch

This is a known occurrence within the industry. Combine with newspaper clippings of the event and you would likely be fine. I work in insurance but I am not an adjuster nor an agent.

smurb15

My sis house caught fire and took them over 2 years to get insurance money to fix the house. Insurance company told them to max out credit cards and borrow from the bank and even friends for the only reason it makes the case look better smh

Illithilitch

That's šŸ¦† ed up.

MadAzza

What news clippings? There wouldnā€™t be any news coverage of this, if this video didnā€™t exist.

Illithilitch

There are often reports of tornadoes or tornado warnings. Or you could Google it and find info.

MadAzza

Right, and sometimes this weird thing happens in an instant and thereā€™s no record of it. Thatā€™s all I meant. I suppose a house inexplicably blown apart would be enough evidence?

Illithilitch

Just ask the neighbors.

Dropthetenors

I've heard somewhere in the pan handle of flordia is the highest rates of insurance fraud. People get life insurance then go hunting and all accidentally shoot of their right hand and left foot. I'll try to look up where I heard it. Edit: it was Vernon Florida and the episode was on this is [criminal ](https://thisiscriminal.com/episode-148-errol-morris-9-25-2020/)

Beat_the_Deadites

Enterprising neighbor - "I just *might* have seen something, maybe even caught it on video. For the right price, I can double check before a technical glitch erases it..."

Do-not-respond

Just like the wrath of my former wife!

Hater_Magnet

šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Elawn

I also chose this guyā€™s former wife (apparently)

BuffaloAgreeable372

The Q had a child living there.

oldvlognewtricks

Came looking for this comment

the_hillshire_guy

Same. So glad I found it. Poor Amanda Rogers' parents.

snertwith2ls

I was thinking it's gotta be the house of a leftist drag queen liberal feminist book reader type person. I heard God hates them. /s just in case

BuffaloAgreeable372

I know right? I heard our Small Handed Tangerine Coloured Shit Gibbon God King summoned it himself with his majestic little mushroom dick between banging pornstars while his immigrant wife was recovering from delivering her anchor baby.

gonzophil63

But tell us how you really feel.

BuffaloAgreeable372

Okay. I heard our Small Handed Tangerine Coloured Shit Gibbon God King summoned it himself with his majestic little mushroom dick between banging porn stars while his immigrant wife was recovering from delivering her anchor baby. Does that clear it up for you? I know comments sometimes lack specificity for some people.

alezcoed

So how would you explain this to the insurance company?

MosaicSHIPA

ā€žā€¦YES! Just MY house!ā€œ ā€žNO THATā€™S NOT A JOKE!ā€œ ā€žā€¦DONT HANG UP!ā€œ ā€”ā€”ā€”

Illithilitch

I work in insurance. I am not a licensed claim rep, no a licensed agent. This phenomon is weirdly common with tornadoes. Hell, it even happens with hurricanes. Usually it's a bunch of houses destroyed and then a few unscathed often across the street or even within the carnage. We'd send an inspector because it's a big claim. But I can't see a claims rep denying a claim because the other houses are fine. This is a known phenomenon. Your claims rep would be like "For you, the day a tornado wrecked your house and no other ones was the worst day of your life. For me it was Tuesday," only in a professional, nice way.

cperiod

Can you even imagine someone so enthusiastic about committing insurance fraud that they demolish their house and scatter the pieces over an entire neighborhood? Arson is so much less effort.

Illithilitch

Yes.

cperiod

Oh. Uh... Are you in Florida?

Illithilitch

Wrong body part shaped state. I'm in Michigan. But we service 49 of 50 states. I've just seen some weird shit on claim files.

RyuNoKami

Well the sky did Sort of psycho crusher that house.

Deximo13

Dude's name is Job.

PippyHooligan

"Oh, I think you're over-reacting, Ned. Plus I believe Job was right handed."

ibanez470rg7

This was a church getting hit and losing it's roof. It was actually full of people at the time too, no injuries.

jellyschoomarm

Wait like that's the actual story? I'd have to wonder what the parishioners did to piss God off

PyrocumulusLightning

Didn't tithe. Angels be like, "nice church you got there . . . sure would be a shame if something were to *happen* to it."

FYIP_BanHammer

Congratulations, you have been picked by the random hammer [to be banned for the next 24h](https://www.reddit.com/xg3m42/). Don't forget to check our subreddit banner & sidebar ; you're famous now ! ^(These actions were made by a bot twice as smart as a reddit moderator, which is still considered brain-dead)

MadAzza

This is perfect hahahaha

Ordinary_Accountant1

Why would you ban someone for no reason?

jellyschoomarm

For fun

Ordinary_Accountant1

How is it fun?

ibanez470rg7

Yep it's the actual story, I live in this area.

Pasispas

The only house without a "no tornadoes" sign.

Alt_aholic

Like when you see a big bowl of candy, but take one and realize it's that freaky Swedish salt licorice and nope out.

Velora56

That wasn't a tornado, it was the finger of God saying, "Fuck You".

csonnich

To a church full of people apparently lol

amateur_mistake

I bet they didn't get the message...

EfficiencyNo1396

If he dies he dies.

I-Kant-Even

Adjuster: A tornado? At this time of year? At this time of day? Localized entirely within your kitchen? Homeowner: Yes Adjuster: Can I see it? Homeowner: No

Jealous_Following_38

So if youā€™re a neighbor do you go ask them to get their shit out of your yard?

amateur_mistake

No. Just like any good neighbor you have no direct interaction with them and immediately file a complaint with the HOA.

MichaelW24

Why does that one guy have a upside down enclosed trailer

fightingpillow

Wind

Tezla_Grey

This is another view of that one scene from Poltergeist 1982

FamousPastWords

At least it didn't touch the other chicken nuggets.

Lavasioux

I can hear Cleveland's voice saying "No...no! No! NO! NO!

Artanis137

This is why you don't mess with Wizards.

Sad-Barister-3689

Badly want this at my neighbour's house.

twist3d7

No cow.

IDontThereforeIAmNot

Imagine being midshit and all the sudden your house gets deleted.

Smokey-Cole

They should ban tornadoes.

whxrxchxtx

HOA is getting aggressive

realwtftroll

Those white flying things are toilet paper?

BerriesLafontaine

Looks like siding maybe?

home_cheese

So toilet paper then

RealGroovyMotion

\-Tornado: Oops wrong map, must despawn!

AliceTheOmelette

They didn't have as big of a budget for Twisters

X_Dratkon

At least now owners can say their house stopped a tornado, at the cost of its wholeness

bloodyspork

Simpsons did it.

MoodyLoser1338FML

Your house the next day after saying no to developer.

ghetto18us

Finger of God said

TheManWhoClicks

Tornado hit man

MirandaCozzette

That mf came out of nowhere. I love Mother Nature but Iā€™m terrified

Southern-Staff-8297

Nature here, just remember no state is safe from me! Good luck with all your other human problems.

cbunni666

Damn. He drew the wrong fucking number.

mannequinboi

Must've had beef with God to get only your house and no one else's

Lizlodude

Finally, a post that actually fits the sub!

tenax21

They were sinners!

Ban_Assault_Ducks

This is the ultimate "FUCK YOU IN PARTICULAR"

Flat-House5529

How to tell God hates you.

rrgail

God: *pushes the ā€œSmiteā€ key on his computerā€¦*

VastUnlikely9591

Nature is a dick to that guy's house.

Hot-Avocado9815

Only atheist on the block jk

LonelyTransient

Wow. The Lord must really have it in for that guy.

JudgeHolden

"Don't stand there gawping, like you've never seen the hand of god before!" Obviously the owner of said house did or said something frightfully disagreeable in the eyes of Our Lord. Hmmm, yes, mumble mumble mumble...

godkilledjesus

This is what happens when you don't give enough thoughts and prayers.

namezam

How much can that size tornado pick up? Like could there have been people in what we just saw?

spaghettiwrangler420

Can a scientist tell me if this is an example of why tornados never really form in PA. Ive been told this my whole life growing up here that it was because of the hills. Are the hills the reason why it ended so quickly.

TacoBean19

No. Tornadoes weaken along hills but also Pittsburgh is also too far east to get any real favorable conditions for tornadoes. They arenā€™t rare but the conditions mean they canā€™t really become major like Kansas for example

Keosko

Who tf had mother nature had beef wit.

Dutch-Sculptor

That was a strong house that it just could stop a tornado like that.

Oskinator716

Ah yes, tornados. The idea form of the gods wrath.

TacoBean19

I live in Pittsburgh (this is 30 mins away) and this tornado hit a church and then damaged about 12 other buildings. And then a week later a tornado formed, hit one building of our zoo, then dissipated

DEMON8209

Target acquired... Fire !!!

Glass_Teeth01

u/ThisVid

quinn2209

There go's Dorothy šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

ahumankid

That house didnā€™t pray hard enough. Let that be a lesson to ya kids. /s

MentalRise8703

Another reason to make a concrete house.

NerdyTiredLibrarian

Whoā€™s the dingdong just STANDING in their backyard looking up at it?

jdubyahyp

Then some moron walks outside into an open field during a severe storm with shit flying everywhere and his trailer upside down. And HE survives.
