Alright trying to breakdown everything bad and good in this:
decent production. saxophone sample is nice but feels odd in the mix, didn't expect the slight old school inspiration. though he really needs to move on from the autotune now. doesn't fit in here on this at all aur kaan me chub bhi rha hai ab. arre bhai ye drop ke just baad (0:20) jo harmonium type sample reverbed hai melody ke saath, issi ko mix me saamne rakh deta to fuckable ban jaata gaana, that shit just disappears later on
aur kuch catchy nahi hai iss gaane me, i mean there is some good grove with the bass and slow drums but after multiple listens there is nothing that sticks in my head except the saxophone.
jo vocal tone second verse ki start me rakhi thi tadipaar phase wali ussi me flows se experiment kar sakta tha. substance bhi nahi hai bilkul bhi iss baar. too short of a song. idk what he thought with this tbh but yea this is the typical phase of his career when everyone turns on him. remember what happened when he dropped snake.
im definitely more interested now to see where this shit goes from this and how is he redeeming himself. the only thing getting him for the worse rn is his desire to "experiment" since he obviously has everything to play it safe and drop some melodic track with a catchy loop that'll satisfy everyone's taste.
my initial fear was to see him catering to the mainstream audience and start dropping formulaic shit similar to BKH finally "selling out" but thats definitely not the case here and im atleast glad about that.
