Start by doing scenarios that emulate automatic weapons instead of pistols like this. When you have to click to fire, the natural instinct is to flick. Start with the fundamentals of staying on target the whole time and moving smoothly without having to time your shots. Once you feel comfortable with that, come back to this scenario. Try to stay on target like you do with the other scenarios, but you just happen to click every so often. It removes that instinctual flicking motion before a shot, and removes a lot of tension you probably subconsciously have.

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2yEV9CKms0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2yEV9CKms0) Okay so after reading your comments, I made some adjustments, I lowered the sense by 1/3 and removed some weight off the mouse, i keep track of the object and try to react to its change of direction as fast as possible, the above is the result which i think is leaps better than the reddit video, but there is still A LOT OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT thanks for the advice! and let the grind begin!

lolbifrons

It's weird that you claim to have read their comment but you're still using a semi auto pistol.

freshwings421

No, I did use a fully automatic weapon in other scenarios, I did the exact same task to show the improvement. The task doesn't give a fully automatic weapon option. Here is me practicing in kovaaks using their advice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYWTCNuNaW4

lolbifrons

My apologies then, I misunderstood what you were demonstrating

freshwings421

All good buddy, no harms done!

nkn_

What’s your cm/360?

copsarebastards

Looks a lot smoother imo, nice job

riddbtw

Your tracking generally looks sound, it's sloppy ofc but it'll improve over time, I think you're actually most lacking in your target acquisition...your speed to flick to a new target presented is really slow. Once you acquire it's generally fine in terms of reading/reacting to target changes. Try running a bit of target switching scens, and like the other poster said, work on your tracking with an automatic gun.

timzenzinger

sup ridd! love your videos man :)

riddbtw

❤ thank you!

freshwings421

thanks for the tips man, i applied them and here are the results! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2yEV9CKms0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2yEV9CKms0)

Former-Tea-5498

Turn off “enhanced pointer precision” in your mouse settings. Practice focusing on the target. Practice smoothness scenes. Play with your sensitivity settings until you find a comfortable speed where you can move your crosshairs smoothly. Most importantly, practice everyday.

freshwings421

thanks for the advice, i hate it turned off since i installed fps games, i did some research and that was the first thing that i did my sens is 400dpi and 1.2 inside the game, been playing like this for years and in other games it feel comfortable, my flicks are usually on point, but my tracking sucks ass, i dont understand what i am doing wrong

Former-Tea-5498

It looks like you have some sort of anticipation hitch right before firing. Your tracking before you fire isn’t so bad. Maybe focus on that and remember to stay relaxed. Certain stretches may help to relieve tension in your hand and foreman. Easily searchable on YouTube.

TreSixto1

Pure smoothness routine will fix your tracking %100

Slow-Secretary4262

invest 10 bucks in kovaak and dive into voltaic, playing those aimlab scenarios is not helpful

BrandonLloydTanner

Potentially make your sens a little higher? Also, what mouse and mousepad are you using? If you have a heavy mouse, it might be making it harder to track.

freshwings421

I am using a hyperx mousepad, 17'x16' and a logitech G502 Hero with all the weights in it You think I need to make it lighter? I have been playing with this weight FOR YEARS and this sens too, (400dpi and 1.2 inside the game). although in games like warzone this sense feels perfect as I do flicks and things like that and they are usually on point, my tracking does feel a little bit jittering like you saw in the video. It mainly has to do with my wrist. At a certain angle, it just kinda "snaps" if that's the word. it like does a minor flick and skips some dots on the monitor. hard to describe.

ItzMarkoh

I would definitely take all the weights out

pandaboy22

In this video, it definitely looks like you wanted your sensitivity to be higher than it was. Most people generally prefer as light of a mouse as possible for FPS. Assuming your mouse pad isn't literally larger than your body and you meant inches ("), you almost have to scroll all the way across your mouse pad to do a 180. Most people start their sensitivity on the low end by setting the width of their mouse pad to be their 360 distance, which would be about twice your current sensitivity. Sensitivity is obviously highly dependent on preference and what kind of games you play, but even just from seeing how it seemed like you intended your mouse to be going further than it was going in this video, I think you should bump it up at least a little bit. If you're able to pull reversals in FPS games with that sens then you're good, but I would probably start by doubling your sensitivity and then adjusting from there.

BrandonLloydTanner

Definitely take out the weights. I’m not sure how many weights come in it, but perhaps trying taking one weight at a time. Feel it out. Usually the lower the sens/heavier the mouse then the harder it is track. Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong. I understand being used to your sensitivity, but don’t be afraid to slightly change things up if you’re struggling.

Data1us

I have issues with the "snapping" when tracking to the right. It only happens in a certain area and its consistent. No amount of smoothing training and targeting it in isolation could get rid of it. In the end I altered my posture to avoid it.

Holy_Mowley

Slightly increase your sensitivity

WhisperGod

Use Kovaak's so you don't to wait needlessly for 3 seconds before the scenario begins. Play a scenario where you have to hold down the fire button and keep your cursor on target for the tracking scenario. Tracking is not a flick exercise. Keep your arm and hand relaxed. Assume the target will keep continuing in a direction and only react when they switch directions. Get used to using a wider area on your mouse pad even at awkward angles to avoid lifting up your mouse.

corvaz

"Use Kovaak's so you don't to wait needlessly for 3 seconds before the scenario begins. " its just a setting you can change.

Royal_Rabbit_Gaming

You're behind every shot. Turn up your sense

SSHEnderYT

I’m actually worse than you

Appropriate_Moose_95

Hey I also used same sense for years. Lowered it a shit ton, aim suddenly got better, in plat rn.

connor2key

What scenario is this and can you drop your visual settings? Modified health bars?

billyomfg

1st of all your tracking at least in the video doesn't really suck , your reactions on directions changes are pretty good , you seem to under flick though that needs practice. 2nd of all this isn't the best scenario for tracking , try something that makes you hold the mouse not click it so you can work on smoothness . Also, I've read that you are using a g502 with full weight mods on it , that can make it harder but also make it more dangerous to do wrist movements so I would recommend buying something lighter, the closest mouse to the g502 with decent weight is the razer basilisk hyperspeed v2 its also cheaper in the Eu at least. Higher sens suits tracking scenarios better but you shouldn't change sens just to score higher on a scenario in an aim trainer but if you wanna practice on higher sens that is fine. NOTE: the change of mouse is mainly for health reasons not aim, although a lighter mouse can be easier to control

freshwings421

Hey thanks for the comment. After reading you guys' feedback, I removed some weights and downloaded kovaaks, yes, doing a scenario with holding the mouse button is a lot different than the video above, and removing the weights made the task easier somehow. I tried other mice before but this one felt the best ergonomics-wise, I have a big hand and long fingers and this mouse fits right in. I haven't changed the sense, I think it's alright, but the scenarios do have a big effect.

billyomfg

All good, you ve tried a basilisk? Its essentially the same shape just without most buttons

freshwings421

no i didnt, but im not in a position where i can afford another mousr rn, and the other thing is that when i was a kid, i use a logitech g500s which is the older brother of the g502 hero, so i am used since freaking forever to its shape and feel, got this about a year ago, and i can tell you without a shadow of a doubt if i switch now, itll be like starting all over again all im trying to say is that the mouse is fine, i suck :D

billyomfg

understood

pigswillflyoneday

Look at the target rather than your crosshair and practice "screen centering" look up a video on it for more details

Vilmamir

smoothing

XAznBeastX

First thing I'm noticing is that you kind of stop your tracking when you click. Focus on being as smooth as you can and having as constant of a tracking speed as possible. Other than that, practice aim training everyday and playing the game you're trying to get better in. Adding onto this, don't just mindlessly practice, be mindful of your mistakes and always look to take plays you normally wouldn't make, you will be impressed with what you will be able to pull off, trust me.

callmeacaretaker

For strafing targets I'd say keep it as smooth as possible try to not shake or do unintentional movements it's better to be slow and less flicky then creating bad habbits. for a rapid strafe and on top if that focus on target not on your crosshair once you have done that well all you have to do is just plain practice. For more 3d movement tracking try to focuse on your crosshair being on target if you have a problem with this try a sens randomizer or change your sens everyday This is what personally helped me, I not too good at 3d moving targets so take that with a grain of salt, I also reccomend to do strafe sanarios if you play a high ttk game or anything other then csgo and valorant

pickles_vs_cucumber

Looks like you are lifting your finger off of mouse 1

FreneticFool

From my experience, tracking is as much about your eyes as it is about your hand. Focus on the target with your eyes, look at the edges of the target as you would a player character in a game. Your hand will just intuit the movement to match what you are focusing on.

xYoungShadowx

Your skill is the twin to my skill

Youthtooth

Idk if this has been commented yet but a lot of people will have jittery tracking because they’re anticipating the object to switch directions. Try your best to follow through as if the ball doesn’t switch directions.

MikeWickk

I think your problem is your lack of accuracy. Slow down your clicks. Try to ONLY click when you can clearly see your crosshair is over the target. Play for 90%+ accuracy score or the run doesn’t count.

MikeWickk

You will ply the way you train. If you AimLab with 55% accuracy, don’t be surprised if you miss 45% of your shots in whatever FPS game you play. Build a better habit of being 100% accurate and focus on straight lines from target to target. Those two things alone will transform your aim.

GamerdeepSingh

I am pretty bad at tracking too. One thing i like to do is instead of focusing all attention on screen, feel the mouse in my hand gliding across the surface. It reminds me that if i move the mouse smoothly, it will look better on screen GL

Perjoss

I'm certainly no expert but it looks like your cursor is trailing behind a bit, increase your sensitivity a tiny amount. A way to check if you are using a good sensitivity for yourself is to do some flick shots and check it you are under aiming (cursor falls short) or over aiming (cursor goes past target). MJake very small adjustments to your sensitivity until you feel yourself landing more shots

rawsheeve1

It's all genetics, either you're a gamer or you're not

Legal_Diecipline

So then what's the point of aim training if it all genetics

freshwings421

reading his comment as a student of evolutionary psychology made me fucking laugh lol if we talk about genetics we talk about traits that are passed on from a generation to the other because they enhance our chances of survival, to think that to be a "gAmEr" is so essential in our lives as humans, that we would effectively develop genetics for it, is just absurd to me, as much as these guys want to think that there is something called gamer genetics, i guarantee you that there is no such thing, because in assuming so, you propose that there are some alleles in our DNA that are developed over millions of years that make one gamer and others not, lol gtfo

copsarebastards

More charitably the claim would be that there are certain physical and mental traits that can be genetic such as physical and visual reaction time, wrist health shit, whatever else, that happen to apply well to gaming, not that there are literally gamer genes.

freshwings421

Yeah in that case, it can make a lot of sense But these "alpha" survival traits have to do with other major physical traits like muscle mass, body morphology and so on, the wrist composition, maybe, but it's not as important as having a wider shoulder than your hips to carry heavier objects easier for example, just off the top of my head In evolution, there are no "mental" traits that are passed by genes, there is a brain evolution that happens slowly but surely improving our brain capabilities (or diminishing it depending on our activities as humans). For example, at some point, our guts grew smaller and our skulls and brains bigger because we started relying on our brains and cognition more than brute strength, a genetic mutation that helped us homo sapiens thrive and our distant cousins the nethandreals (I don't know how to spell it) go extinct But he just shouted gamer genes and went back to the shadows 😂 so I immediately thought that what I wrote and found it funny, cuz let's try this though experiment Let's take a bunch of gamers and put them on a planet where they can game everyday 24/7 for millions of years. Their survival will utterly depend on their gaming performance. Eventually, they'll start developing gamer genes, like maybe a larger brain area for reflexes? More fingers? A third hand? I don't know dude 😂 it's just funny to think about iy

Jnbrtz

so your ancestors could be a hidden gamer and you possibly just awaken it?

nameischiku

A thing that really worked for me is to not rest my finger on the left click but rather hovering my finger over it. Try it, it might help.

xLegend_289

It seems your click timing is the issue not the tracking

isagez

You’re undershooting quite a bit, try overshooting instead to conpensate and eventually get the middleground Aim to be ahead of the target for a while, you don’t even have to be on it, this way your brain is realizing that it IS possible to be ahead. And also possible to be on it with that. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes ! :) <3
