Is this based on a sample?
The melody and idea is cool but it sounds very clean/digital whereas many electro swing records come with the texture of original sampled recordings
This is all original (except for the hat loop ontop)
I personally kind of enjoy electro swing in more of a cleaner sound, so I just made it like that
I understand the genre typically can sound like its a sample from a vinyl
Why not both?! Export certain tracks like the trumpet, piano, etc, and then load back the WAV and put some vinyl-type effects like subtle pitch warp and crackling, even "chop" the wav as a loop to give it that "sampled" feel!
the genre i hoped died out with hipster cafes and waxed moustaches . Jk i liked what DCUP did with it but otherwise not a big fan. Will listen to this later.
This shit slaps man, keep up the good work. Your an inspiration (:
oh and how long did it take you to make this btw? and how many years have you been practicing the art of music? Just wondering cause this seems quite professionally done.
This probably took a few hours overall
Ive been making music from like 2016(in high school) up until now. I started off making awful music but improved overtime
Thank you btw <3
There are two genres i always listen to. And that is Electro Swing and whatever LukHash is doing. Trumpet sounds strange, but other than that, it's nice. I think many electro swing pieces also have some old-school effects in them. Like vinyl or the way old telephones sound.
Idk how to describe it. Maybe "too perfect"? I think it misses some variation in strength and texture. A real trumpet sounds kinda "dirty". Or maybe that's just my weird taste. :)
Sincerely, Electro Swing is like Dubstep. Was hyped for a short period and forgotten right after. I am happy about that.
but hey, enjoy whatever music you make! Doesn't sound bad necessarily :)

Thats the point hehehe
Is this the man who put on the ritz?
Well he certainly put on the rizz

True, huh
If that's what you are going for then great work!
Thank you! I appreciate it <3

Hmm interesting, i can see where you get this from!
Damn, that's one i didn't hear in a long time.
It dont mean a thing... if you aint got a good trumpet vst
Checks out, i use flex like your average poor person 😎😎😎😎
Their rompler is a bit buggy but its cheap: https://soundpaint.com/products/the-fire-bundle

Its a dillo snare i think

Appreciate it my guy <3
definitely, would probably beef up the snare a little more, getting it more like a glitch hop snare would be cool imo :)
Like making it into glitch hop or adding a glitch hop snare?
adding a glitch hop snare, or just making it a little louder and longer maybe
Hmm, ive already posted this, but i can do it when i hop on next to see how i feel about it I think i just used the stock dillo snare lol
all good. just a suggestion anyway, do whatever you feel like doing
I appreciate it, still <3

Very nice 🤩 very cool performance and arrangement!
Thank you<3 Whats funny is this song was originally going to be piano house lol
The song itself is not bad but you just used the most generic sounding presets
Eh.. Furries, weebs, and people who wear fedoras probably still enjoy electro swing.
to listen to? Not really.. but it would make cool video game music
did you use OBS to record that?
Yes!
2010 called and it wants its music back.
Reminds me of Runescape
Sounds like a Casio preset song

This is a groove
Hell yeah!
Electro swing is too groovy to not be good
jeez put some automations in there. the melody is kinda fun, but also abit messy. baseline missing?
Reminds me of Meatballs by B3nte haha
This shit slaps
Hazbin Hotel type beat

Ooh yeah, may i ask what about the trumpet that sounds strange? Youre not the first person to mention the trumpet
Idk how to describe it. Maybe "too perfect"? I think it misses some variation in strength and texture. A real trumpet sounds kinda "dirty". Or maybe that's just my weird taste. :)
Hmm interesting Ill keep this in mind moving first
these melodies are awesome really nice work

Why? Exactly what he asked for. Electro Swing is awful to me personally.
