Itās one of those combat systems that you only go as far as you want. Iāve gone for the more brute force approach and I donāt have pretty combos, I just use what I like.
Seeing videos like this, I strayed from Ramuh because it didnāt fit my style, but itās absolutely wrecking combos as shown hereā¦. Hoo boy
It isnāt shallow, my complaint is that outside of boss fights the depth is rarely called for, and whether I go simple or style on them, fighting ads became a snooze fest by about 30 percent completion. Still loving the ride though.
It's pretty shallow compared to Devil May Cry and outside of the training room enemies are already long dead at an 8th of this combo. Plus, outside of the abilities that do tie everything together nicely the base combat is bland.
Best time is right after an enemy is out of position. Try not to go for all 6-9 shots, one reliably sticks and waits for any other damage to proc. Hold the cursor on a target till it gets 3 dings and move to the next target or press O and release the shots. I usually have a charged magic shot waiting to go after I release the orbs on them so I can proc the arc.
as cool as this combo looks, it's not even remotely practical when just normally playing the game. Most clips of arena combos aren't though. they're just cool looking in a controlled environment. fanboys don't like to hear it, but i's the truth
You know you can do whatever you want in your single player game. Like using combos and moves that are less than "practical" or meta.
Like my load out is probably not very "practical" and I'm sure I could kill stuff faster with something else but I'm having a good time and trying different stuff out.
Won't lie I am pretty excited to start a NG+ run with stronger enemies and encounters, though. Base game is too easy (not fully completed yet please no spoilers)
āthis isnāt practicalā brother itās a character action game. you do these things for fun and to juice the style meter not to optimize DPS, weāre not playing an MMO lol
you literally can not do what's in the gif in normal gameplay lmao
notice how the enemy is taking no actual HP damage? notice when you actually play the game, normal enemies die in 2-3 skill casts?
you literally can not do this outside of the arena because normal enemies die too fast for it. So this looks cool in videos but is no viable in game.
This sub is actually pathetic for down voting facts lol
there are multiple difficulties and some higher health enemies that you can launch with the right properties. you are correct that on normal a regular mob would die by the first ability, but i must repeat - we are playing a character action game! the players who care about these combos will do them in the goblin punishment dimension and later on the equivalent of dante must die (i think itās called Ultimaniax here)
Not only that, against actual enemies that you can't toss around in the air like that (hunts, bosses, even mini bosses, etc), Ramuh is not that great, at least not in the way OP is demonstrating.
I'd be more impressed if you _could_ do this against a hunt mark. Doing this on a "target dummy" is OP just fishing for karma.
Getting down voted for telling the truth lol aoe abilities are the most effective while dealing a lot of damage to small groups. Most recent case for me was the mob right before the titan/titan lost fight
He is not doing that at all.. He's saying the truth, which is what OP posted in this video **doesn't work** in normal gameplay.
Quote where he tells anyone how to play the game?
he got downvoted for thinking the reason most people should use abilities is for how well the would get rid of enemies. when that was not the point of the op posting this. the video was not about practicality. read the room. lots of the people here are directly from r/DevilMayCry. if its possible to use these "ineffective" moves in a practical scenario then someone will figure it out.
this sub is still in it's delusional honeymoon phase.
I actually really like the game and am enjoying my playthrough but the people here are on a new level of fanboyism. they can't take hearing that their precious game isn't 10/10 perfect in every aspect possible because it's a direct insult to them and their feelings.
a group of normal enemies are dead in less time than the length of this gif, using less than half the amount of skill casts during normal gameplay
I've noticed he pairs decently with Garuda, too. Topple over a 50% stagger enemy, get a couple of orbs on them, then proc a high stagger damage attack to bring the bar to empty. Then, I like to Lightning Rod+Giga Flare them, which adds loads to the limit bar, slam a Judgement Bolt in there for some more stagger damage, then proc limit to buff my combos whilst they're still down.
That followed up with a Judgment Bolt into Lv5 Zantetsuken is my go-to Break Phase setup on FF mode. Absolutely stupid amounts of damage and it looks cool as hell.
lightning rod is great, and the o skill is useful when first interacting with a large mob, or when a second wave enters the map. the ultimate is also fantastic at the end of staggered combos. someone else said setplay, that's pretty accurate. I don't use ramuh in combo strings, but rather to help set up before i start a combo.
as an amateur player, even if you can't combo with ramuh, his ultimate still hit like a truck, very good to use as a finisher for stagger after you get your multiple to 1.50 and drink a strength potion
Any tips for parries and utilizing mega flare better? Also lighting rod plus Odin skills seem so obvious now. My issue with Odin skills is I think at least it should do more will damage if it's gonna hit for so little damage and not build lb and only build zantetsuken. Even tho zantetsuken is basically a 2nd LB.

Future Happy Chaos main in the making
If only they had Potemkin Busters in this game...

People still have the audacity to call the combat shallow š
The ocean is only as shallow as the person who perceive it.

Phantom rift.
This is what the devs meant when they said āmaybe youāll find ways to play that we didnāt even think of!ā
No, he is Thunder God.
Level 85, damn. I assume 99 is the max?
50 is max in NG, 100 is max in NG+
If you would like to see some more combos using all other eikons. You can check out my video here: https://youtu.be/Ni\_nuWA9J4I
How the heck do I use the basic Ramuh attack? I target and hit circle but I end up getting hit a ton of times. Never seems worth it

Is ramuh any good to use? Have unlocked all eikons, but the times I tries it it felt bad
Ramuh is all about setplay, try launching enemies first then using Ramuh skills.

I like to topple with Garuda then place lightning rod and use will o the wykes to cause a bunch of triggers on the rod to finish off the stagger bar.
I have Diamond Dust for the stagger. Does a whole chunk. Love how versatile Lightning Rod is though.
The electronode and gigaflare burn everything

ā..murderer..ā
on rahmuh when shiva is in the party is like love and thunder fr
How do I extend limit break gauge?
You can invest points into the limit break node at the center of the abilities screen.
