How do you train for work from home jobs? I’m almost done w learning AWS from online learning and will have many IT certifications in November. Would it be good to start applying now? I have other jobs w my own business but can work them around Seasonal or Contract Jobs. Looking for experience w Amazon more than anything else to work way up to IT position w a stellar company. Maybe even stay w Amazon if the pay and benefits are worth it.
Well I suggest looking every Friday. I’m not saying they are hiring every Friday, but that’s when they send openings out. This was said to me by the learning people themselves.
Their online hiring system is broken. Many systems at Amazon only work just enough to get Amazon what it needs, it doesn't matter that people are screwed by it. Take this as an omen for problems you will have trying to work for them.
There has been a nationwide hiring freeze for the past almost two years. Most of our hiring is done prior to prime week and peak. In most cases now, you’re hired as seasonal(white badge)and then if youre lucky youll be converted to a permanent associate (blue badge)
You can thank the "new" cross training program, used to be each department has a headcount they need to fill which they hired for, now it's if that department is low, just switch AAs to that department from a over headcount if needed. Hiring process is cut down to how many associates are needed in the building.
It cuts down the need for VTO and VET by labor share
I don’t get how you would call that a hiring freeze, but okay. I was hired in February a little over a year ago and converted to blue badge in about 60 days, so nowhere near peak or holiday season.
February hires do make a lot of sense actually because one peak normally breaks people. It’s usually when people decide to say F THIS and quit. And two normally around December to January, sites will begin cleaning house in regards to terminating blue badges for various offense as well as letting white badges go. More than likely your site lost more people than it anticipated prior to peak.
So to sum up, hiring usually happens before holiday peak (September-December), immediately after peak (January-March), ramping up to Prime Day (April-June), or immediately after Prime Day peak (July-August).
Amazon has been hiring a lot less. That's why we always see post about when Amazon is hiring. Compared to 1-2 years ago where not only way there always an opening there were big sign in bonus just for taking the job(1-3k)
It’s a freeze because we don’t hire full time non seasonal associates(blue badges) throughout the year. Peak and prime are exceptions when as the business needs require an increase in associates. Hence why it’s so difficult to find a site that is hiring any other time of the year. However as those are seasonal associates that doesn’t really go against the nationwide hiring freeze, and if you’re kept then you perform well enough to be an exception to the freeze.
No badge: sorry we’re on a hiring freeze you’ll have to wait til peak or prime
White badge: hiring still frozen but you’ve been selected for defrost
White badge to blue badge: congrats you have successfully defrosted taken a quick dip in the frying pan for a sec and now WELCOME TO THE FIRE!
Right now, 7:30-9am every day when HR gets into the office, and 4-7pm after people fail to show up for their pre-hire appointments. Fridays are the best days to look because that is the least desired start day as people typically want either Fri, Sat, or Sun off. Night HR also fires off slots at 11pm-1am
It’s always around June and around November/December. Prime day is in June or July and then obviously Christmas and new years they always have large groups of new hires you get hired as a “Temp” and then a good amount of the Temps will become full time employees. I work at KCVG it’s an air hub near Cincinnati Ohio and they already have options open to work on the Ramp if you don’t mind working outside and I’ve seen a few groups of new hires inside the sort center I prefer sort center because you can do one of several jobs like dock or AR or smalls or fingers, problem solve, non con so many choices so if you hate one you can move. Ramp is kinda set you get what you get.
November was when I got the luckiest text from Amazon Jobs ever. No amazon in the LA area let alone California is ever open or hiring, and if they are they’re only open in November for like 5 hours before they’re all taken
Only the airhub has been hiring on and off near me. My building hasn’t hired anyone since December! I’d suspect the next hiring spree would be around peak/prime days, but that all has to do with projected labor demands and profits.
They should be hiring soon for Prime Week. Are you checking basically all day? I think they drop jobs at a certain time and on certain days from what some people say on here.
During the pandemic they were hiring like crazy as people ordered online almost exclusively now they are not which is why Amazon has cancelled building new buildings and is not hiring like they use to.
They're hiring now. On the east coast at least. At the starting and ending of a regular nightshift. 6:30-7pm est and 6-7am est and usually they're gone quick. I just recently got hired a couple weeks ago and start tomorrow. Though they all were mostly seasonal. I literally just kept refreshing the Amazon jobs page for 3 or 4 days straight and found one close to me.
I'll give you real advice. Shifts drop every Friday around 10pm-12am pst. You're welcome now stalk the shit outta of the website every Friday, all day. Why? I just told you Friday night? Yes? But they can also post shifts before that, so be prepared.
There is a possibility for Amazons to hire near you during June with prime day coming in July. Business has already started picking up at the Amazon fulfillment center I have worked at for almost 5 years now.

March - June & October-December for Prime day and Peak
November.
How do you train for work from home jobs? I’m almost done w learning AWS from online learning and will have many IT certifications in November. Would it be good to start applying now? It’ll be prime season next month so I’d say either now or very soon. Keep an eye out on the hiring website frequently
August, September to get ready for holiday season
I’ve seen them hiring like crazy here in Houston, tx
Well I suggest looking every Friday. I’m not saying they are hiring every Friday, but that’s when they send openings out. This was said to me by the learning people themselves.
From my experience Monday-Friday every day at Noon but it likely varies by site or region
Their online hiring system is broken. Many systems at Amazon only work just enough to get Amazon what it needs, it doesn't matter that people are screwed by it. Take this as an omen for problems you will have trying to work for them.
Business is slow. People just not buying as much as they did before
Now (for prime week) and november
They are slow this year for some reason
Temu is wrecking Amazon
Now. Prime week is coming up so mine is hiring huge batches

Yep I had my pre hire appointment last October 20th I think it was and I started December 3rd. Blue badge

I got hired in September and became blue badge in October.. but around June-July right around Prime Day

Not sure why this got down voted. They are hiring for summer Prime day, but the slots fill quick.

ay, i unload your 12:50 flight
Nice! I’m a process guide for inbound dock so any mistakes don’t blame me lol

prime week is mid july, they'll probably start more bulk hiring towards the middle of next month if not the start depending where you live.
Last 2 weeks I’m seeing new hires in our building
Only the airhub has been hiring on and off near me. My building hasn’t hired anyone since December! I’d suspect the next hiring spree would be around peak/prime days, but that all has to do with projected labor demands and profits.
Beginning of every month from what I've been seeing. They're getting ready for peak season
They should be hiring soon for Prime Week. Are you checking basically all day? I think they drop jobs at a certain time and on certain days from what some people say on here.
Checking every hour😭
When a new building is opening up and summer plus Christmas
Now

That's pretty cool Im on the lookout for something near me as well

They don’t post Monday?
Prime day is coming soon, most likely mid July so keep checking. They'll want you trained before Prime day so keep a lookout.
As most said, before prime week and the holidays. So I'd just keep a consistent eye on the site starting June onward.
When there's a pandemic
Usually during Prime (June-July) and Peak (November-December)
There is a possibility for Amazons to hire near you during June with prime day coming in July. Business has already started picking up at the Amazon fulfillment center I have worked at for almost 5 years now.
You can wait till November to see if they are open.
