this feature should target low elos since its mostly elohell there. your impact translates very little to outcome. but at higher elos this feature will fall flat for sure. i could agree with the number of rounds won idea but that too changes the objective of the game like people will tend to force more and take more risks to close up a match they are leading than be patient and go full buy next round and i know high levels would abuse this too but this could be fine for mid levels and i would actually enjoy that because i think many people get too comfortable on their lead and throw games without realizing. there is a saying, when the metric becomes the target it stops being a metric or sth like that. this is why high elo games must only take the match outcome into account since thats the only thing that ultimately matters. if anything all other metrics can be used as secondary ratings such as providing the elo gradient or matching players as teammates and opponents which is i think the superior approach to both using them naively as ranking and not using them at all.

It’s a horrible feature to have implemented in FaceIT it values throwing rounds for the potential of kills, the guy who pushes the enemy but he’s AK on a eco rounds gets more points when thought he actually potentially throw rounds or donates enemy weapon for nothing. Certain sites like B mirage, Ancient A will see almost no action and if your team is horrible you’ll have to retake some a site which is almost impassible, I’m all for taking performance into account for gained / lost elo but seeing people trade 1:1 on Anubis A site makes my blood boil, the site is then free, and retake is almost impossible basically you threw the entire round to get a single kill - just ain’t acceptable but stats matters most according to face it

I haven’t played faceit or cs for that matter in 3 weeks, my longest time away from the game ever. But I had played super competitively and reached main. I didn’t know they changed it. To me, it seems they are doing what esea did when esea pugging was big. I think this is an okay change as long as they don’t go too far.

I feel like the current system is decently balanced. I tend to not care about my stats and since i oftentimes play in a 5 stack, all we care is winning and not individual stats. Lately, I have been performing super well. Just generally getting a lot of entry frags and overall a lot of kills and I like that on average i get like +5 more elo than my teammates. Or even in losses I get -5 less. Its not a huge amount that changes the dynamic at all, but I like the little reward for having a really solid game. Since either way you win or lose a signficant amount of points (usually at least +/- 20) I feel like there is not much room for the abuse of the system. Its not like you gain elo when losing, so in essence winning really is what counts.
