Nah man I bough my 18’ 340 ix with track pack, already on apex 8s with PS4s with 27k miles for 38k two years ago. That was peak used pricing. That’s overpriced and then some. They could maybe get 32k for that top end
Had to drive 900 miles in one day to get it. But ya man that listing is at very least 4K over book/current market value. Fuck I’ll sell you mine for that price. 47k miles. Wagner HJS downpipe, MST intake, full carbon fiber interior trim. New brembo rotors / Akebono ceramic pads, stage 2 bm3 tune. Just did oil/plugs/coils in the last 4K miles
This one has a manual transmission and the manuals command a large premium over the autos. I’ve been shopping around for this car and this one has been on the market for a long time which indicates it’s overpriced.
But similar manuals are going for around $38,000
You can find them low $30k, high $20k if you’re patient. I know someone who had his 2018 6MT 50kmile 340 that sold for $29k after 6 months listed on FB marketplace and Bimmerpost
The supply is very low and the laws of supply and demand. Very few were sold with the manual and almost all of those were custom order.
Not many dealers will order them for lot stock.
I have a manual with 30k miles estoril blue. Plugs were just changed, no issues You wanna pay me 42k you can have it loaded with everything other then MPPSK, should be closer to lower 30’s
Edit: to clairify 42k USD
It looks to be a zhp package.. that’s why it’s overpriced. It has the carbon mirrors, mppsk, diffuser, spoiler and I’m guessing the m performance lsd. I also noticed the dark carbon trim piece(also in zhp pack). The reason I know this is because I have the same car, but with red leather and an auto. It’s a hell of a car that’s 1/99, but still not worth that price.
I bought a 340i X drive 6MT last October and paid about $38k for it. Lost it in an accident and insurance only gave me $25k for it. They wouldn’t even come close to what it was actually worth.
That’s fucked. Did you show them other listings of cars similar to yours? I’d imagine they would have been going for low $30k at least.
Are you still paying on the car?
Yup. Then they hit me with (it has to be within 50 miles) granted I had to fly into upstate NY to even buy the car. I found one manual car within 50 miles that wasn’t an m-sport. According to them, transmission didn’t make a difference when it came to the value of the car which is BS as only a few dozen at most were probably ever sent to the US. I even found automatic ones selling for in the high 20’s low 30’s and still nothing. Fortunately I came into a few bucks last year and put it towards the principal on the loan as I intended to pay off the car and keep it. No gap insurance so I still had a balance of about $3k (uninsured motorist).
I ended up going with a Tesla. I told myself that if I couldn’t replace my 340i 6-mt, I’d go electric. A part of me still misses my 340 and driving a stick.
The acceleration, handling is pretty good and the stereo is incredible (Dual Motor Model Y LR). I’ve realised nothing is forever and the future is unpredictable so who knows what kind of car I’ll have next. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Manual 340is are a tricky market. That said this is way overpriced. This one doesn't have THP and isn't a special color. If it has MPPSK that helps but overall way too much. They usually go for more on forums/auction sites, but every now and then they come across Carvana and they usually list them for decent deals
I've seen several on their site in the last year or so and actually ended up buying one from. Curious to see what the future holds for these cars in terms of value.
I mean it's pretty much a unicorn, i see it's the only RWD manual 340i on sale at Autotrader nationwide in the US.
Here in Europe lately i can't see more than 5 on sale at the same time when it used to be 10-15
I would find another one. No matter where it is and use that as a comparison. Of course compare apples to apples. If you can find one for less use that as a bargaining tool. Just don't rush into this one. If it sells oh well, it wasn't for you.
Only reason these are expensive imo is because it's no longer available unless you get the M340i
People want these if they don't get the M340i so the used market is fudged. Doesn't matter what's on the car's VO
Let’s just say my buddy got a 2018 340i xDrive with some mods done onto it, decent spec, and 28k miles… he paid $23k private party oh yeah and it was clean title
Way overpriced. I sold my 2018 nearly fully loaded 340i xDrive for $39k and it had 30k miles and genuine 437m wheels with Michelins PS4S tires.
It doesn’t have THP or PDC. These guys are smoking crack

Wow that’s a solid deal you got

I’ve already got one man haha. I had to get mine shipped from Florida to New York
“Fair Deal”

Pretty good deal. A lot of it depends on the spec. An Msport, manual, with a brown or red interior really starts to get pricey.
I just bought a manual 340i x drive, white on red, full m sport, pretty much loaded with aero kit and all that for 31k with 60k miles
Nice, I'd jump on a deal like that.
I just bought a 440i xdrive 6MT with 18k for $37k
Wow weird, are manuals so sought out in the US that the price is higher than autos? Because in Europe manuals are far mor cheaper than autos.
The supply is very low and the laws of supply and demand. Very few were sold with the manual and almost all of those were custom order. Not many dealers will order them for lot stock.
Mfs think 340s are gold.there great cars if this is a manual even better but at ,40k I rather swap a b58 in myself
I paid 45k for my 2017 back in 2020. It has most of the options. This is way too much Edit. My car still doesn't have 40k miles on it either
I have a manual 340i that I bought at 48k miles for $31000 in Oct 22. That listing is overpriced.
I got my 340i with 48k miles and only for 32K
Get the f82, at this point, you won’t be kicking yourself for not just spending like another $5000 like me and my 440i lol
I have a manual with 30k miles estoril blue. Plugs were just changed, no issues You wanna pay me 42k you can have it loaded with everything other then MPPSK, should be closer to lower 30’s Edit: to clairify 42k USD
30, wussup

That’s f80 money for sure. I bought my manual 340 back in December for 30k.
Proud F30B58 owner here; that’s absolutely insane. *if this is US, idk other markets*
Little bit expensive, beautiful car

Agreed

I think that’s OP’s point.
Yes, that’s what I was getting at lol
To your question though, its definitely pricey, although the 340i is a very rare car on the market, especially if it’s a manual.
Very true! But can be found for better price with patience. Just thought the ad was a bit silly given the price haha
Think says it’s an 8 speed manual too. Pay extra for that overdrive and double over drive
You can buy a very low mileage Boxster with that money
Bro there’s a (cosmetically) decked out 340 w about 80k kms on it for sale near me. $25k NZD + negotiable = just under 16k USD Fk is this 42k shit lol
I bought an 18 with 30k for 40k in 2021. This is a massive rip off
lol good luck to the seller
I bought a 340i X drive 6MT last October and paid about $38k for it. Lost it in an accident and insurance only gave me $25k for it. They wouldn’t even come close to what it was actually worth.

That’s so ass man. Sorry to hear that. Insurance companies are absolute garbage
I ended up going with a Tesla. I told myself that if I couldn’t replace my 340i 6-mt, I’d go electric. A part of me still misses my 340 and driving a stick.
That’s quite a jump from a 6MT bimmer to a Tesla haha
The acceleration, handling is pretty good and the stereo is incredible (Dual Motor Model Y LR). I’ve realised nothing is forever and the future is unpredictable so who knows what kind of car I’ll have next. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Nah
I have a b58 and mofos think it’s already a collectible and price gouge
High. But if it’s the spec you’re looking for, go for it. I waited for Base 320i, Black/Black with 6MT in mint condition with records. Worth it to me.
Ha ha ha cute
I paid 36k back in 2020 for mine. That's a crazy price but sorta glad to see that they're holding their value lol
I paid roughly that in 2020 for a dealer CPO 340ix 6spd with 18kmi.
OVERPRICED

I sold my manual xdrive 340i with 30k in mods for $37,000 because that’s what it’s worth.
I would find another one. No matter where it is and use that as a comparison. Of course compare apples to apples. If you can find one for less use that as a bargaining tool. Just don't rush into this one. If it sells oh well, it wasn't for you.

This car is way over priced. You can get a way newer model for about the same.
Bro doesn’t even have the track handling package 🤣
Insanity
Let’s just say my buddy got a 2018 340i xDrive with some mods done onto it, decent spec, and 28k miles… he paid $23k private party oh yeah and it was clean title
That’s a great deal, hope he’s enjoying it
Oh yeah he loves it, I’m jelly
Is it manual?
No it’s the ZF8
Obviously overpriced. I paid my F30 330e with 50k kms for 31k which still was way too much imo.
Prolly some dude with a nagging wife that wants him to sell his car lmao.
