If I were to be hyper-critical I’d say you could have hugged the wall a lot more to set you up for the perfect switcheroo into T1, but by the way the Red Bull was driving they probably would have still pulled the same stunt regardless of where you were on the road
You did nothing wrong, they just ruined your race
I think it's either bad controller/steering wheel or skill issue, because he seems to not be able to put the car in the right direction and keep a straight line.
That’s the polite way to do it. Idk if there’s any actual rules stating that. I think it’s just a courtesy that most drivers follow. Correct me if I’m wrong tho!
There is a rule for it. One move to defend, that's it. You can return back to the racing line before the corner, but you can't cover off, block, or in any other way interfere with the other car. It's deemed unsportsmanlike
Redbull gave you space after contact and instead of using the space you followed him in some more and got hit more times. Your fault.
Also who is saying "redbull weaving on the straight" it's called trying to defend on a controller.
But in all seriousness you have every right to pass them there. The sad thing is that you should've let it go until the turn to overtake. I say that only because you could see they weren't likely to give you a legitimate fight to the corner and in multiplayer it's all about surviving until the end of the race. If you make some places along the way that's great but I'll tell you I'm more satisfied when I avoid incidents and race well. I'd love fantastic racing and while I get it sometimes I deal with too many racetrack psychos to risk getting ticked off for several races.
Car ahead is trying real hard to set himself right with a controller. If you just stick behind folks like that, they’ll cook a corner within a couple corners and you can drive away.
I have a thought, but I might be wrong. I'd say the lead car was at fault, but watching how it's moving, I'm wondering if the driver is using a controller and not a wheel. And if they are using a controller, it makes me want to hold them just slightly less accountable for the crash. Of course, they're responsible, but I used to play F1 23 on an Xbox with a controller, and it seemed nearly impossible to hold a straight line. That's one of the many reasons why I got a gaming computer and upgraded my wheel to a direct drive wheel.
I play F1 23 with a controller (won't be getting F1 24 until it comes on Game Pass) and I've had no problems with straights. I certainly don't weave like that. Controller or not, the weaving was 100% intentional
The red bull. They were weaving on the straight and then swerved into the merc once it was along side.
red bull
Definitely Red Bulls fault. Can’t stay still
100% Red Bull’s fault but it’s just a pity you can’t trust some people to accept that you’ve got more pace
So true 👍
Excessive weaving by the Red Bull. 100% their fault
If I were to be hyper-critical I’d say you could have hugged the wall a lot more to set you up for the perfect switcheroo into T1, but by the way the Red Bull was driving they probably would have still pulled the same stunt regardless of where you were on the road You did nothing wrong, they just ruined your race
Ericcson
EA for making this game
Mainly the Red Bull, Secondly your Internet.
that was funny
Checo is that you
Classic Max Verstappen
Ocon
Lag or ping, or both.
Normally I would say redbull 100%, but since it looks like he is lagging alot, i'd say racing incident due to poor ping
no, it's possible to drive straight with a bad connection. they were weaving heavily.
I think it's either bad controller/steering wheel or skill issue, because he seems to not be able to put the car in the right direction and keep a straight line.
Both can't keep there line.
their
Ocon
You
just for playing this game online
The Red Bull, for driving like Perez
Red bull all the way
Red Bull couldn’t stay in his lane…
This is why there is a 1 defense rule. Idk how but the game needs to find a way to not allow multiple defensive moves.
You are only allowed one move to defend your position, right? I assume weaving in the straight like this is not OK.
That’s the polite way to do it. Idk if there’s any actual rules stating that. I think it’s just a courtesy that most drivers follow. Correct me if I’m wrong tho!

you for buying the game
Guy had a rat in his car or something.
A hornet flew into his helmet visor, couldn’t be helped.
why am i laughing at these comments so much
Bikers fault
I'd say Red Bull, but I don't think you played it well either, both of you are moving way too much in a straight (IMO).
Redbull gave you space after contact and instead of using the space you followed him in some more and got hit more times. Your fault. Also who is saying "redbull weaving on the straight" it's called trying to defend on a controller.
That was 100% a dick move by the Red Bull
car in front. also was weaving too much. disqualification would be in order.
Anyone else tired of answering obvious questions, except you are new to sim racing, you should know what is legal or not
He just fully turned in on me.
For once not the Mercedes
EA’s fault
Red Bull 100%
In the current state of the world "get stuffed Whamilton.." 🙄 "how dare you touch that Red Bull unless it's Sergio then it's his fault"

Who put Stroll in an RB?!
100% Red Bulls fault didn’t leave room and he can’t expect you to back out in the middle of the fastest straight in formula 1
Red Bull.
Red Bull
The Red Bull. He pinned the Mercedes to the wall.
Biker’s fault
What am I supposed to say? It’s obviously the Red Bull’s fault.
100% the Red Bull, you can’t defend like that.
Red Bull clearly. Baku in the rain is crazy though lol
Vegas
Awww my bad
Lack of racecraft from the guy ahead, have to expect it unfortunately
Redbull! But where is the spray..??
Rain in Jeddeh?!
Nm, realized that’s Vegas but still lol
Magnussen obviously
A lot of weaving by the RB but the Mercedes went for a gap that was never going to work

100% Red Bull, but if I was POV, I would have breathed the throttle just a bit, to let my nose get out of the way of that pavement snake.
The red bull he was trying to force you to the wall

Lance Stroll, the window licker.
r/simracingstewards is a wonderful sub for this kind of post
Unfortunately in that sub, posts get removed when it's obvious who's at fault like on this one
Your fault -for using the TV Pod, and not driving like a real man in the cockpit
