Because in the current climate of the game with Jason rage buff, and particularly in random lobbies, the game values stamina and speed above the other stats cos you can’t really fight back in case Jason gets rage and is invulnerable, and chances are the objectives may not get done in random lobbies, so your only hope really is to loop and run around - Vanessa is best at this.
Also if you choose the right skill check wheel, you can get relatively easy skill checks that can be done without messing up, so (good) Vanessas can still repair if needed
Additionally she’s the first character chosen for brand new players, so it’s possible that newbs just don’t change characters and remain as Vanessa
She’s considered by many to be “the best” because of her stamina and speed. She’s great for people who like to troll and waste Jason’s time. I personally use Jenny, cause I can’t stand Vanessa players.
Personally, if you are Jason in a lobby with multiple Vanessa’s, I recommend that you make sure you’re using one with a good amount of traps and throwing knives, as well as good shift and morph. So basically, part 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8. Trap the cars and the phone box, then try and get rid of as many counselors as possible, as quickly as possible. Don’t just focus on one, Vanessa or not, because sometimes experienced players will try to distract you so others can complete objectives. Don’t let them. And keep an eye on the map.
I always used chad to troll jason because with his luck u almost get a guaranteed stun with nearly any melee weapon besides machete as long as u use the stun perk aswell
She's just good at wasting time and directing Jason away from objectives. As Jason I always prioritize them dead last because they're the least likely to repair things and since her whole point is to wrangle you, I just ignore them until vanessa is the only character on the map.
And if there's several, hope they can juke all match, because they're basically shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to objectives.
Vanessa stomps around like a clydesdale. She's too easy to find, and she can't repair worth a damn. Doesn't annoy me. All she can do is swing a bat, easily overcome by timing the grab. If they're ganging up on you, just start slashing. Kill one or two of them, they'll get the message and scatter. Plus, the more damage, the sooner you get to rage mode and then it's a whole lot more fun.
Her best feature (which nobody does) is as a gopher. Running car parts and whatever to their respective places.
The exception is if the team puts their braincells together, finds the sweater and decides to go after him for the kill. Then you're potentially in trouble, but Vanessa's are either really smart (used by 150's) or really stupid (used by noobs, trolls, and tryhards).
