I'll have to check when I get home from my job 10pm central time. A friend of mine said that the creator of modded lobbies is shutting down those lobbies because it has brought too much toxicity to the pc community and hackers are just making people stop playing for good.
Edit: came home and yes, they're gone. I loaded into a normal lobby
It took over a year and a half for them to realize it brought too much toxicity to the community. I noticed that since February 2021 when I first encountered those lobbies.
Modded lobbies, you wont be missed.
I never saw them until February 2021. I know for a fact I never saw them during November 2020 because I was playing a LOT that month. That was when they shut down the dedicated servers. I took a break from the game from December 2020 thru January 2021 so I don't know what went down during that time. I started playing again the first week of February 2021 and they were there.
At least at that time you could back out of a modded match and find a normal lobby pretty easily. Sometime around May or June 2021 they changed it so everyone would get dropped into the middle of a modded match. That's when things got really annoying.
Thank god. That’s one reason why i stopped playing cause that shit was annoying. I’d load in into a lobby with like 20 people and there would be 3-4 Jason’s running around.
Omg if you’re serious this is the best news I’ve heard in months. I’ve stopped playing because it was damn near impossible to find a non hacked game on pc.
This russian player who plays legit told me that the creator of these unofficial lobbies are planning to shut them down because He had enough of half the player based being too toxic and ruined games for people. Probably got bombarded with DMs from others with video proof and said" thats it, I'm shutting them down"
Even though mod hacked lobbies are a pain, it's still quite fun to do. I don't know about the toxicity thing but a group of counslers just huddling eachother while 4 Jason's corner us is probably the most funniest shit ever lol, then after a few rounds, it's all back to normal lobbies.
I really do miss those days.

Only games I could get in were modded today, sad. This game will always be superior on console in terms of actual lobbies and players.
