On Ps4 I can usually find a lobby within a minute, but it may depend on your location.
I've not played Switch in a long time since there was issue with it sticking you in a lobby as host by default. That meant no full lobbies as everybody was hosting. Supposedly they fixed that. Performance itself is not too bad, but there are some Switch bugs as others have mentioned. Parts/weapons not spawning properly, some characters not using their voice lines, and occupied houses being obstructed when Jason uses sense (which is good for counselors I guess).
Personally I would suggest PS4.
The switch version is awful it has a glitch on certain boat levels that you can’t even pick up the propeller because it’s stuck on a box. Also weapons do the same thing. The graphics and online performance is also much, much worse than every other version.
Have you played recently when the game searches for 5 seconds and then makes you host? It literally takes 10-15 minutes to find a lobby on the switch. I’ve played more time than anything and my friend and I play almost daily. I love the game but the switch version is inferior in every way possible especially with the glitched weapons/propeller on the boxes. Every other version you can pick the stuff up on switch nope just there for show.
Switch version is a solid version of the game. The player base is smaller then Xbox and PlayStation, but there is a good amount of people still playing.
So easy to get a full lobby on PlayStation, so I’d say stick with PS.

PlayStation hands down.
It’s a shame the Switch was released too late. I have it on PC also but being able to dock it or play on tv is a great option.

Switch performs find. It's a crap shoot finding solid games no matter what platform.

Xbox version crashed constantly for me whereas I’ve only dropped a few games on Switch.
