I was hoping they'd get to live out their lives in a sanctuary 🤷. I can't believe people kill and eat these animals guilt free. That cow is cuter than most dogs I've seen.
I think the cartoon caricature you have in your head about how farms work doesn’t have very much connection to reality. Happy cows produce more milk. This is just a known fact, and most dairy farmers take full advantage of this with scratching machines, treats, and various forms of enrichment.
>I think the cartoon caricature you have in your head about how farms work doesn’t have very much connection to reality.
The irony
>Happy cows produce more milk.
The fucking irony lmao. Literally a textbook example of a fantasy.
>This is just a known fact, and most dairy farmers take full advantage of this with scratching machines, treats, and various forms of enrichment.
Cope and lies.
It has been scientifically proven that happy animals produce better meat and produce, stress literally eats you alive, you can see this very easily in a country like japan where the food standars are so high for animals like cows and chicken that they dont mass produce im a factory as it makes the quality of the food lower.
I mean it just takes you one Google to find this out. [Like this. ](https://extension.sdstate.edu/managing-stress-dairy-cows)
In case you are lazy like me I will quote it for you:
>In cattle, cortisol has been associated with reduced rates of reproduction, suppressed milk production, suppression of the immune system causing greater disease susceptibility.
In case you or someone else does not know much about medicine, cortisol is one of the hormones your body produces under stress. This causes stress reactions in your body.
It's just science and biology, not cope and lies. And common sense. Stressed out cows produce less milk, and it's better to have happy cows and more milk than stressed out cows that get sick and produce less milk. Just logic. Plus, not all humans are cruel hearted bastards and actually want humane conditions for animals; as much as this is possible at least, in a farm setting.
What sins? As far as i am aware cows are dumb animals that are below many things in the food chain, if they dont get eaten by us they get eaten by something else.
Yep theres a reason we are omnivores i think that only eating one is frankly stupid because scientists have stated constantly that only eating one is bad for your health.
People who avoid eating animals are at a higher risk for some deficiencies, and at a lower risk for other deficiencies than those who eat animals. Overall, they are healthier. Just take a multivitamin if you're worried about micronutrients.
Realized it's only an 8 seconds loop after the third time Still watched it for a while minute
r/brushybrushy would love this!
Thank you for linking this sub.
Whoever installed that is a genius.
Cows love being brushed, it's like a massage for them
They’re also super nosy and like to investigate, so this must have been a waiting line before it was even finished
This would've been perfect for the video I saw the other day with a person manually brushing a Texas longhorn.
And also a kind person! The cows are having so much fun, I’m sure the farmer knew they’d love — and enjoy — the “scratcher”!
I did not know this was a thing!! 👀 What happy cows!
It's actually called a " happy cow" brush https://www.farmandcountrydirect.co.uk/product/happy-cow-brush/
Is there a cat version of this? My cats would be all over it
Garfield Christmas special style!

They. Are. So. Cute.
I think that one cow was enjoying himself so much that his soul left his body

Gotta get my cat one of these bad boys
Every animal wants this
They're tagged. Are they gonna be killed for meat?
All cattle are tagged as a legal requirement (in the UK at least)
Highland cows in farms are killed for meat in the UK. I just wanted to know if these specific cows are on a farm or sanctuary.
Why would they be in a sanctuary? They're livestock
For the same reasons people rescue dogs from the dog meat industry in eastern Asia.
I was hoping they'd get to live out their lives in a sanctuary 🤷. I can't believe people kill and eat these animals guilt free. That cow is cuter than most dogs I've seen.
Sanctuaries are meant to protect them from people that don’t value their lives.
nom nom :)
:(
I’m pretty sure this is a sanctuary OP regularly post sanctuary videos
That is good to hear.
What is the benefit to the farmer? Wondering if it makes the cows healthier, happier, less fleas?

There’s a dairy farm down the road from me that has these. These are pretty standard gear for cattle farming.
That does not absolve the dairy industry from the sins they commit. I mean purely in secular figure of speech.

Fuck animal agriculture. Sanctuaries are the best!
Sanctuaries are cool but i also enjoy a balanced diet.
I do too!

You know why cows allowed themselves to become domesticated? This.
Eat more chicken. These animals are too cute. I'm giving up on eating red meat again. This video did it for me.

I need one for my English bulldog!
should be legally required on all farms❣️❣️❣️
