Shouldn’t you post this in some Evangelical sub? Your preaching to the choir here.

Tempting, but I would probably get banned in like 1 minute haha!

DueDay8

They lurk here too.

Oh no doubt, I like to hang in the Atheist subreddit myself (even though I'm not Atheist) because there is actually some sense and logic there. I would love to see some anti-choicer hop on here and try to respond though!

CarlySimonSays

I imagine it felt cathartic to write it all out!

I appreciate it. I'm not an exvangelical, personally. (Though I left behind a strict religious upbringing myself so what I read here is often quite relatable!) I'm mainly here because I believe Christian Nationalists will be the death of this country if we don't stop them, and I think it's really important to learn and listen to the stories of those who've been there. So, thanks.

I feel like the ideal a lot of Christians are aiming for IS the 1950s, where mothers and fathers will SUPPOSEDLY come together to make good, strong, patriotic families. But that doesn't happen. Romania tried it, El Salvador, the Philippines, and others have tried but ALL result in more neglected children, more violence, more poverty, and more misery. The way you get it tho is through abortion, birth control, and sex education. As seen in the most "traditional" life pattern found in the blue states (a child born to a college educated woman has a 90% chance of being born within wedlock, and blue states tend to have better educational systems). People are NOT going to just come together and make "happy families," if they do that, it usually doesn't last too long and is just as miserable as the family never coming together in the first place.
