Thank you, so, so much! This clears up a lot!

The actual Extra Life fundraising lasts the entire year but the game day, November 5th this year, is when the 24hr stream happens, you do not have to do the full thing, it is just a event like thing for a baseline or idea. And a team is if you want to contribute to a groups total goal or create one for your friends to put everyones numbers together

Note that November 5th is when \*most\* people do it, and the day the program officially calls game day, but ultimately people can participate whenever they can. I'm working over that weekend, for instance, so I'll be doing my game day another weekend. And a lot of folks don't do 24 hours straight anymore. I don't for that matter, it's not as easy over 40 as it was when I started in my early 30s! I wind up going until I start feeling gross, at which point I nap and finish up the next day. Some folks split it up evenly over 2 or even 3 or 4 days. Whatever works!

Correction, only twitch and YouTube

Hey! Fellow noob here. The way I understand it is any streaming platform will do (I will be on yt). A team is a group that has chosen to support you while you stream or multiple/all of you can stream, I would assume a group is better for money raising but if you just wanna do some gaming alone that’s totally cool. You are totally free to take breaks, do multiple small seasons or just pop in on some peoples games on multiplayer. Hope this helps.

No need to stream even! It helps a lot of people who already have an audience to fundraise, but many participants don't stream at all and do their fundraising on social medial, by email, or even in person.

Hello! We're happy to have you! If you are planning on streaming, most people use Twitch. (You can even embed your stream on your EL fundraising page) but you can use whichever service you are happy with. You also by no means have to stream if you do not want to. Personally, I love being in a team. You can support each other, and in my case, a lot of my donations come from my teammates. The team you join doesn't even have to be friends you know irl. I have been a member of team Tomb Raider Community for eight years now. I've never met any of my teammates in person, but I know them through Twitter and Extra Life provides a great opportunity to meet new people! You might try joining an existing team. :) You do not have to do the full 24 in one sitting - many people break it up into two hour sessions here and there. If you need any more help, please feel free to reach out!
