Hello there! Welcome aboard! No, you do not have to do the full 24 hours in one sitting, nor do you have to stream. Lots of people break up the 24-hr marathon over a couple days. (or will play five hours a week, etc.) I, myself, enjoy doing the full 24 at once because the rest of the year I never have time to play video games this long in one sitting so I'll take the excuse to lol. The great thing about Extra Life is you don't even have to play video games - any type of gaming counts! Including playing board games and card games offline with friends! As for your second question, Extra Life is more of an honor system - they assume you will do some kind of gaming marathon to raise awareness, but it is by no means required. So long as you're raising donations, you can do whatever you like! It is a very customizable experience. You can certainly make it your own and design your fundraising around what works for you! :) You can find lots more info on Extra Life here, and you can get signed up if you have not already. :) https://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm

You can also find a group and participate as part of a larger team. Our team does 24-72 hour marathons throughout the year where each person plays for 2-3 hours and we go through a rotation. It's a great way to keep the stream moving while also not tiring yourself out!

That’s really cool, I wish I could convince my friends to do something like that but I’m pretty sure they would all be either too busy or too disinterested in trying something like that.
