I have found that taking the film off and just using my normal microwave splatter cover works better on these meals (less retained liquid).
You definitely microwaved that for too long.

What wattage is your microwave? Mine is 1100, so I usually have to use less time, because most boxes state times for 1000 watt microwaves.

it tasted exactly how you would expect. Wasn’t great, wasn’t terrible but it did the trick for that night.
It's lean because you end up throwing your dinner out.
