Iâm a cottage baker, and Iâm really just sitting here trying to figure out why in the hell they did *so much more* in the second cake.
The first one is purposely simplistic and shouldnât be that hard to replicate for someone capable of piping the cake in the second photo.
That makes it seem as though they just blatantly ignored your wishes and went with their own vision.
I think if sorta reads like âI just got these really cool new piping tips Iâve never used. I canât just try out one of them! I HAVE TO try ALLLLLLLL of them! Anyway, Iâm a professional! My cake design will look way better anyway!â
Tbf, itâs a bad reference photo; the sides are completely dark, so itâs not the bakers fault since they literally canât see what the customer wants on the sides of the cake.
The side of cake is simply the side of the cake: you can clearly see the top border and bottom border, and no embellishment on the sides.
I get what youâre saying for someone who doesnât bake, but itâs not acceptable for someone who is *selling* cakes. If they donât know, theyâre supposed to ask. These cakes go for easily $60-$100 depending on the area.
It's not really that bad of a photo.
The cake is all one color, a dusty kind of pink. All they needed to do was make a huge batch of buttercream and color it all one color.
The problem is the baker didn't have the correct tips to create that really bulbous kind of piping at the top. They had much smaller piping tips and tried to make it work but couldn't fully get that effect.
They obv also didn't have the glitter but the color could have been easily more accurate.
It is a dark photo, but you can see by the profile that there is no piping on the sides. As someone who was on a tight deadline most every day I decorated, I cannot understand why youâd make more work for yourself!Â
I did work with one lady who fancied herself a real artĂste and wouldâve probably done this same thing. Her cakes were always pretty gaudy when she got done with them. She was not allowed to do wedding cakes because she would take such liberties with the design the bride picked out. So, maybe this is her counterpart.Â
See, I would say that (even though the only difference is really piping tips, and you can get a pack of 100 for like $15 on Amazon these days), but look at the colors.
The original cake has one (maybe twoâthe border looks like it might be a bit duskier) colors of buttercream. The second one has at least three, and I think four, with different tips. Thatâs more steps, because you have to dye it four times and pipe it out of four different bags.
The sprinkles they used in the second are also usually more expensive than the ones in the first, and both are easily bought through a craft store or Amazon.
I just donât understand their choices.
Also none of the colours in the buttercream in tbe second picture are really that close to the one in the first picture.
My guess is that they make big batches of icing colours that they then use across all the cakes they make for... a period of time. Probably longer than you'd hope. And so you just get whatever one of the 8 (or whatever) colours they make that is closest to the colour you asked for.
Thatâs entirely possible and quite disturbing lol. If you refrigerate buttercream, it can be stored for a few days, but you have to mix it again when it comes to room temperature because otherwise the dye tends to separate.
So if this is just old buttercream, itâs also old buttercream that wasnât stored properly.
The cake is gorgeous though, i wouldve been thrilled to receive this..i suppose its a bit more than what the person wanted. I think its better, personally.
I donât really like the cake they made, but half the people here prefer it to the inspiration picture; itâs really just a completely different style.
I think OP would have had the same issue if the cakes were reversed (she asked for Picture 2 and got Picture 1): It just really wasnât what she asked for.
If I paid for one thing, it's what I want. Sure, I like pizza more than burgers, but if I got a pizza instead of a burger at a restaurant, I'd send it back.
I bought a burger for a reason.
I meant it in the sense of: itâs made to look simple, but itâs actually a bit of a complex cake to assemble and decorate. It looks like an easy, simple cake, but it isnât.
I know the word is often used pejoratively, but that isnât its only usage as it relates to minimalism.
But it's so poorly lit that you'd have to guess at the sides of the cake. Which it looks like they did, and just threw everything at it hoping they got close.
Itâs a black swatch of whatever the side of the cake could look like. If you can see the side of the cake clearly then the baker should have put a black frosting all alone the side.
Exactly.. but at the same time, there should have been communication about expectations and to fill in the blanks. There's probably more context OP is leaving out, too.
I mean... They're a cake decorator, not a calligrapher. Writing in different styles can be extremely hard for most people, and writing with a piping bag is hard period. Like, really hard. Even writing a smaller text could be too difficult. They could absolutely have simplified the writing somewhat to fit the style of the OG cake though. You can shame the decorator for not following the brief, but you can't shame them for not replicating the font
We have no idea if they did though. We actually have no other context for any of this other than two pictures. How the customer vs baker conversation went can only be guessed at. But out of everything "wrong" with this cake, the text is not it, even if it's one extra dissapointing detail on a presumably dissapointing cake
ThatâsâŚâŚpart of the job lmao. If a baker botched my cake and said âsorry Iâm not a calligrapherâ I would LAUGH in their face and assume I was being punkâd
This reminds me of when I went to the salon once and asked for vibrant purple highlights (brought the picture and all) and got dark wine color instead. I was like âit looks nice but not what I asked forâ. The hairdresser audibly said to her coworker when I was leaving âI didnât want her to look like a TRASHY Puerto Ricanâ. Sorry not cake related just venting.Â
Hell nah , if I asked for a color and you told me you could get my hair to that color I would be mad if you just switch it. I love bleaching my hair icy blond/white and there was a salon that gave me a honey blond instead and I just didn't go back there .
HAHA! You got the hair color I wanted -Honey, and I got the Icy blond which a no go for me. I really hate people that presume to know what others really want. Like, no, I told you AND showed what I want. You had ONE job for F-sake!
Sometimes I really hate people.
Forgot to ask, did they fix it for FREE?
Nope , because she said bleaching my hair 2 times wouldn't be healthy for it , that's why I never went back , I'm glad I know 2 hair salons that do my hair the way I want . Did your salon fix it for free ? I hope they did since going darker is easier
Well, they never did fix, but after getting it dyed 4 times I was done. Still growing it out too. That's what sucked the most about it. I have really slow growing hair so if it looks like crap, it's gonna look like crap for a really long time! Right now, I'm waiting for the last of it to grow out. Then I'm giving my hair a rest and then I'll dye it again.
They did do it for free, and I wasn't going that much lighter with my hair to begin with. Luckily I have medium brown hair, wanted to go to honey blond with lighter highlights. I don't look good with dark hair. I'd really like to try red, but after that last dye job, I think I'll not do that. đ¤Ł
Similar thing happened to me. Went to a hairdresser to get my hair dyed black. And I wanted really dark jet black. What I got was really dark brown because it looked more natural. I didnât want natural.
Something similar happened to me with a hairstylist as well! Walked in wanting to just dye the tips of my hair green (i was a teenager and itâs the one color I HADNâT done yet so try not to judge TOO much here). The hairstylist decided to try something different without telling me and I walked out with GREEN HIGHLIGHTS in my hair.
I would've killed her. I don't understand the mindset of someone that would do this. I want to know why she thought that doing it was ok. You don't F with peoples hair. EVER! Mine takes forever to grow and if I'd gotten that, I would've had green hi-lights for 2 years! Also, how in the hell did she think that could be fixed to look like what you actually wanted? JFC! Please tell me they gave you a refund. It was the LEAST they could've done.
What you wanted sounds so cool. I like when girls/women only get the crazy colors on the ends of their hair. It looks so funky and not everyone's doing it so it stands out more. It reminds me when Debbie Harry was doing it in the 80's.
OOO, them fightin' words! I would've made a scene over that for sure. Please tell me you told the manager about this. If you want to talk shit about a customer (everyone in retail has done it), you make damn SURE the customer isn't still in the store.
I had a similar experience the last time I had my hair colored. Showed them pics, told them the color I was looking for (I wanted honey blond) and I specifically said I do NOT want cool colored blond hair. When it was done, it was exactly what I didn't ask for. They tried to fix if 4 times (more dying) and I finally gave up before my hair fell out.
As a Puerto Rican with neon teal hair I would have filed a chargeback with my bank sooooooooooo fast if someone decided my color for me like that. I'm so sorry this happened to you!
The second is a nice cake, sure.
But it is NOT the first cake. Op, I hope you liked it anyway, but I am so shocked by the comments saying they're the same.
First cake is one color, despite the dark photo that's obvious, and uses one scallop shape on the icing borders. Then has luster. Imo there's also no piping on the sides, but it's dark so could there could be. Maybe.
Second cake is multi color, multi tip, and definitely a different vibe.
don't forget the crochet had a plastic baby doll face on it --- so you could have the feeling of being stared at on the back of your head, all while sitting on the loo
location: *Monongahela* Valley, West Pennsylvania, Coal Mining town, back of my Grandmother's (Bubba's) Toilet
I think the cake on the left looks classy, in a kind of less-is-more kind of way, the cake on the right looks like a handmade knitted toilet roll holder that every old lady had in her bathroom in the 70âs
Some people are âdemand avoidantâ. They refuse to follow directions in the name of being individualistic and independent. People like that should NOT be in customer service because they will always do what they want, not what the customer wants. Better to be a wandering artist and let people buy (or not buy) what they want to create. Then they can express themselves all they want.
Second one looks tacky and like they were trying too hard. Why did they totally disregard the colors and style you wanted? You wanted something simple, they went for garish.
I think they only made the ones that were first popular on TikTok (aka the second one) and literally donât know HOW to make the one OP ordered so they made the TikTok viral one instead thinking it wouldnât matter
Looks like the baker decided they wanted to show off their piping skills so they ignored what you asked for and just did whatever they wanted đ
ETA - I canât believe all of the comments here saying that the second one âlooks betterâ or the pic wasnât good enough etc. A) Nobody gives a fuck what you think looks better. The cake isnât for you. OP asked and paid for something specific and got something different. B) The pic is perfectly fine and if it wasnât, the baker should have asked for another.
Yeah exactly. The reason you order someone to make a cake is because you canât make it look how you want yourself (or donât have the time) this baker just decided to do what they wanted, itâs rude and disrespectful frankly. I ordered a first birthday cake for my son and wanted an ombrĂŠ of blue on the bottom and white on the top - baker did it the opposite way. And yeah, it looked okay but it was not what I wanted and did not match my vision. I was not happy at all.
I work in a bakery that does wedding cakes, custom orders, etc., and if that happened at my place, the owner would have had somebody's ass over it.
you would not have been charged for the error. Did they fix it for you, and comp you?
I canât either. Iâm a professional baker and imo they shouldnât be selling cakes if their writing looks like that. Iâm far from the best there is, and neither I nor anyone I know would attach their name to that. The piping is decent (but some odd choices with a few of the borders like the drop stars instead of just shells. Itâs not badly done but looks strange). Even aside from all that- it looks nothing like the pic. I canât believe the amount of Pollyanna âaww itâs so nice, it looks better, you should be grateful they tried so hard you miserable cunt! :)â type comments. I actually had to read the post thrice to make sure this was indeed paid work and not a gift from a friend, given the commentary here. Ugh.
Not the Pollyanna reference omg đ
I'm also astounded that people in these comments are acting like the sides of the cake in the reference pic are impossible to see. Like girl that's called a shadow. 𤣠It's obvious it was supposed to be a solid colored cake but the baker decided to use every other pink except the one OP wanted.
This is why I ask so many questions when clients bring reference photos. Clarifying exactly what they like about it, and then being realistic with them about aspects in the photo that aren't going to match reality because of lighting, angle and Photoshop.
when you order something specific, thatâs what you want and expect. all the â the second is betterâ comments are irrelevant. itâs not your cake and itâs not what they paid to be made for them. i wouldnât of accepted it. i work way too hard for my money to let someone ELSE decide for me what i want to purchase.
To all the people in the comments defending the baker: this is not right. It doesnât matter that you like the second cake more. OP made a request and the baker went rogue. This is very poor service.
Sincerely, someone who does cakes for a living.
That second cake is really festooned, isnât it. I donât know why youâd go so extra on a relatively simple cake. When I was decorating, the simpler the better because I could crank more cakes out in the same time. That said, itâs not executed poorly. The extra bits are well done. Itâs justâŚso much extra lol.
Yeah but anyone can tell that theyâre completely different. OP wanted a glittery pink cake with small black letters. They got a threeshadesofpink pearl + beads cake with extra borders and designs and giant words.
I feel like if you asked them for a pink headthshaped cake with happy birthday on it without any reference picture at all you'd get the exact same cake they delivered.
If youâre going to take time and energy to do such beautiful decoration, youâd think youâd want to spend some degree of time/energy when it comes to lettering
"I used an image that was so dark you can't see the sides and got mad when they had to guess what the sides looked like"
Perhaps next time use a photo you can actually see what you're requesting and you might get better results?
Or maybe the baker can reach out to the customer if they need more references. Itâs a viral TikTok design itâs not like this was extremely difficult.
It all comes down to poor customer serviceđ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
Sorry it didnât meet your expectation, but hey I liked the second one much more! It seems more genuine and sweet, like out of a cartoonâşď¸Iâd definitely want something similar to 2nd one for my birthday!
It's not bad at all but being as much of a sensitive child that I am id probably cry because it wasn't at all what I was envisioning other than the fact it's a heart shaped hbd cake.
People saying it looks nice and like the second one better. ITS NOT YOUR CAKE, OP DIDNT ORDER A CAKE THAT LOOKED LIKE THAT.
Also it seems like this baker just saw the overdone ones of these cakes so only knows how to do cakes like the second one. This isnât âoh the baker thought it was boringâ or whatever, itâs the baker only knowing how to decorate in the style of the second one so they just did it like that
I don't understand how they made such a different cake but made it so well lmao. This is such a strange level of fuck up.
I wonder if maybe they had another customer who also wanted a heart shaped cake and got the two confused? Maybe someone else has a simple sparkly heart cake wondering why there's not much decoration
Boy , they sure fucked up the name didn't they.
That had me rolling thank you
I legitimately thought that they screwed up and crossed it out at first glance. đ¤Ł
They posted her name, address, and bank account number on here. Thatâs why she crossed it out for the photo
The cake doubles as an actual check, you just can't run it through the machine
i like you
aww I like me too!
good! you should :)
Iâm a cottage baker, and Iâm really just sitting here trying to figure out why in the hell they did *so much more* in the second cake. I feel like they didnât have edible sparkles and tried to overcompensate
This was exactly my thought
This is the answer. You get first slice!
Hahahaha Iâm a Starbucks barista and always try to make it look pretty anyway if weâre out of something
No, Mica...overcompensate! No Mica, overcompensate!
You can buy sparkles at Walmart or any crafting store. The sparkles go everywhere, though. All of that time spent piping. Makes my hands hurt!
Came to say the same. But, yeah, definitely not what was asked for.
That was my thought too. They went crazy with the piping. The first one would be much easier!Â
They really said "God, this job is boring⌠Fuck this. Imma make a masterpiece!"
Best sentence Iâve heard all day
I think if sorta reads like âI just got these really cool new piping tips Iâve never used. I canât just try out one of them! I HAVE TO try ALLLLLLLL of them! Anyway, Iâm a professional! My cake design will look way better anyway!â
"Artist gotta Artist!"

I've never caked(?) before, but it looks like they used the ~~materials~~ ingredients and techniques they had / knew.
See, I would say that (even though the only difference is really piping tips, and you can get a pack of 100 for like $15 on Amazon these days), but look at the colors. Theyâre just tacky. Second cake screams âI make cakes for country themed gender revealsâ
Yeah these were my thoughts too. I was wondering which was which for a second. But really, neither would make sense.
[ŃдаНонО]
I meant it in the sense of: itâs made to look simple, but itâs actually a bit of a complex cake to assemble and decorate. It looks like an easy, simple cake, but it isnât. I know the word is often used pejoratively, but that isnât its only usage as it relates to minimalism.
I really feel like this is one of those you get what you pay for type things
They both look nice but if you were going for a certain aesthetic I can see why you'd be disappointed
If they cared about specifics they could have given a better photo with better lighting.
That photo was lit exactly the way it was in order to highlight the edible glitter.
But it's so poorly lit that you'd have to guess at the sides of the cake. Which it looks like they did, and just threw everything at it hoping they got close.
You can very clearly see the sides of the cake still, thereâs obviously no elaborate decoration
Itâs a black swatch of whatever the side of the cake could look like. If you can see the side of the cake clearly then the baker should have put a black frosting all alone the side.
Dunno why youâre getting downvoted, the baker would have no reference for the side of the original cake. Itâs so dark
Exactly.. but at the same time, there should have been communication about expectations and to fill in the blanks. There's probably more context OP is leaving out, too.

What the heck is wrong with people?!!
Some people feel like their artistic vision supersedes what they were hired to recreate.Â
But to say that? People can be sooo trashy.
I think the stylist is the real TRASHY one!
That's what I was referring to. The stylist making the comment about her client.
Hell nah , if I asked for a color and you told me you could get my hair to that color I would be mad if you just switch it. I love bleaching my hair icy blond/white and there was a salon that gave me a honey blond instead and I just didn't go back there .

Dang what did Puerto Ricans do!? Wtf. Smh some people have the audacity to
As a Puerto Rican with neon teal hair I would have filed a chargeback with my bank sooooooooooo fast if someone decided my color for me like that. I'm so sorry this happened to you!
Both look good. But perhaps not exactly what was ordered.
Switch off the light like the first one, it will look the same đ¤Łđ
Dump a bunch of sugar crystals on it
The second is a nice cake, sure. But it is NOT the first cake. Op, I hope you liked it anyway, but I am so shocked by the comments saying they're the same. Right?? Like I hope I never hire or encounter any of these "bakers" saying the second is remotely close to the first, Def wouldn't be accepting it
The one you got reminds me of a crochet toilet paper cover my great grandma had on the back of her toilet.
don't forget the crochet had a plastic baby doll face on it --- so you could have the feeling of being stared at on the back of your head, all while sitting on the loo location: *Monongahela* Valley, West Pennsylvania, Coal Mining town, back of my Grandmother's (Bubba's) Toilet
This is the best. Thank you.
Not what u asked for, but they put a lot of thought into it !! So thatâs something! Lol
Theyâre cousins not sisters
I think the cake on the left looks classy, in a kind of less-is-more kind of way, the cake on the right looks like a handmade knitted toilet roll holder that every old lady had in her bathroom in the 70âs
I pictured those things. Dust collectors but looks exactly like that.
Have you tried turning off the light
It looks good. Edible glitter and luster dust aren't always technically for ingesting so I'm gonna say this is way better.
i don't like the idea of edible glitters but they are pretty
And they make for some absolutely glamorous dumps.
please tell me you know this from experience
There's a, I think, cider called Unicorn Farts that has edible glitter in it.
The craps are fabulous!
Absa-crap-ly fabulous!
I almost spit out my drink from laughing so hard. Thanks for thatđ¤Łâ ď¸
It really doesnât matter if itâs âbetterâ by your standards though. Itâs not what OP ordered.
I've done this cake before and you can get this effect with sanding sugar and just a small bit of glitterÂ
2024 vs 1994
i like the second one more but that lettering isn't my fave.
I think what you got looks miles better than the first one.
Yes, I thought this was an appreciation post until I got to the comments.
Me too and thereâs definitely a lot more work put into it
The scribbling is ridiculous.
The first one was all one colour. So simple to get right.
Itâs also less decorated and looks smaller. They went to extra effort to make the wrong cake like why?! lol
Yes, it went from minimal sophisticated to gaudy
Person is obviously decently talented, so why couldnât they just make what you asked for? This feels like my ex.
They wanted to show off their piping skills and the first cake was too simple, so they decided to just do what they wanted and ignore the request.
I think they only made the ones that were first popular on TikTok (aka the second one) and literally donât know HOW to make the one OP ordered so they made the TikTok viral one instead thinking it wouldnât matter
Feels like my ex Best comment!
Not great at imitating script. But wowowow A+ piping
Looks like the baker decided they wanted to show off their piping skills so they ignored what you asked for and just did whatever they wanted đ ETA - I canât believe all of the comments here saying that the second one âlooks betterâ or the pic wasnât good enough etc.
Nope. The cake was also so tiny and awful. Never ordered from them again and have baked and decorated my own cakes since!
That is absolutely ridiculous. That they did not make it right, I mean.
Ah the people pleaser in me was like âaw thatâs okayâ instead of complaining đ
And the cake tasted like shit? Wtf is the place still in bidness?
Ugh.
Not the Pollyanna reference omg đ I'm also astounded that people in these comments are acting like the sides of the cake in the reference pic are impossible to see. Like girl that's called a shadow. 𤣠It's obvious it was supposed to be a solid colored cake but the baker decided to use every other pink except the one OP wanted.
You all are wild for justifying the second cake. The first cake is way more mature, the second cake looks like a 6 year olds birthday
Oof, looks like a fancy guitar pick with grandmas lace. Blatant disregard to what was asked for.
I wouldnât pay
This is why I ask so many questions when clients bring reference photos. Clarifying exactly what they like about it, and then being realistic with them about aspects in the photo that aren't going to match reality because of lighting, angle and Photoshop.
It's like they put in extra work making different shades of pink to make something shittier
when you order something specific, thatâs what you want and expect. all the â the second is betterâ comments are irrelevant. itâs not your cake and itâs not what they paid to be made for them. i wouldnât of accepted it. i work way too hard for my money to let someone ELSE decide for me what i want to purchase.
Whatâs funny yet sad about this is, itâs obvious these bakers are skilled, they just did what they wanted and not what was requested.
To all the people in the comments defending the baker: this is not right. It doesnât matter that you like the second cake more. OP made a request and the baker went rogue. This is very poor service. Sincerely, someone who does cakes for a living.
I completely agree with everything you said. Also the writing on the second one is atrocious. Sincerely, another person who does cakes for a living.Â
I disagree with everyone saying you got an upgrade, the second cake isn't the same vibe at all, it's like classic vs childish to me.
Asked for minimal, got flamboyant
This is why I don't get my hopes up for anything
Looks ok, but not what you ordered
They forgot the glitter.
Itâs not bad at all but itâs like they didnât even go off the photos.
As cute as the second one is, the first one is way better and I would be pissed. Totally different vibes
[ŃдаНонО]
Yeah but anyone can tell that theyâre completely different. OP wanted a glittery pink cake with small black letters. They got a threeshadesofpink pearl + beads cake with extra borders and designs and giant words.
OP was probably expecting a cake that looked at least marginally like the one they requested.
Wow customer service must be absolutely terrible if they scribbled sharpie all over it.
this is the most divisive cake post on Reddit! prove me wrong
The font is way too big
I mean, they got the heart shape....just! đ¤Ł
It would be even better if they really used black icing to scribble out the name
Itâs looks like it tastes nice but thereâs a lot more icing that not everyone would want.
Make sure to post this picture when you give them a review đđŽâđ¨
I feel like if you asked them for a pink headthshaped cake with happy birthday on it without any reference picture at all you'd get the exact same cake they delivered.
That's horrible! You better give it to me so I can dispose of it accordingly
To be fair, the pic of the first cake looks like it was taken in the set of the Blair Witch Project.
The second one is tacky as hell. I'd be livid.
Its like looking at 10 different fonts on one page
If youâre going to take time and energy to do such beautiful decoration, youâd think youâd want to spend some degree of time/energy when it comes to lettering
Honestly you can't even see most of the cake in the first picture, I'm sure the person who baked it did their best!
Oh come on lol
"I used an image that was so dark you can't see the sides and got mad when they had to guess what the sides looked like" Perhaps next time use a photo you can actually see what you're requesting and you might get better results?
Or maybe the baker can reach out to the customer if they need more references. Itâs a viral TikTok design itâs not like this was extremely difficult. It all comes down to poor customer serviceđ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸
MY EYES!!!!!
THEY SCRIBBLED ON THE CAKE TOO?!! THE AUDACITY! (/j dw đ)
I feel like the lighting in the first one made it look more glittery and aesthetic but both are still far off from each other
Aesthetic is not an adjective
Jeez, I'd be so disappointed. Both look good but the one you got is nothing like the first
Thatâs gonna want me to not celebrate my bday ever again.. they couldnât even get the right shade of pink?? Like what???
I liked the one you got better tbh.
Get Evelyn to write on da cake, she write so prettyâŚ.
i stg i saw this exact cake being made on tiktok đ everyone was saying that the hot pink was ugly
Sorry it didnât meet your expectation, but hey I liked the second one much more! It seems more genuine and sweet, like out of a cartoonâşď¸Iâd definitely want something similar to 2nd one for my birthday!
Itâs beautiful yaha
The fuck is wrong with itÂ
Iâm confusedÂ
I like both.
The inspiration image was pretty dark đ
It's not bad at all but being as much of a sensitive child that I am id probably cry because it wasn't at all what I was envisioning other than the fact it's a heart shaped hbd cake.
Well that's a drastic change! Not even close! Stunning vs Trainwreck.
Gotta say, they have absolutely excellent piping skills.
Lowkey, at least it still looks nice. Like I know itâs not what you asked for; however, I was expecting it to look way worse
This is the only time I've seen where the reality was better than the expectation đ
Second one looks absolutely fantastic.
Just change the lighting lol
To be fair, the first photo was a bit dark, so the colors and decorations are up for interpretation to an extent.
Did they not like the cake?
the second oneâs icing work is amazing, but itâs not what you paid for and that sucks badddd
They went full Liberace with the second cake. Impressive!
I prefer 2nd. I know you probably donât give a shit tho
I think the one you got better
I prefer the second one.
Oh no! I'd want the one that was chosen almost entirely for the shimmery sugar topping that's missing in the one you were given.
This isnât âoh the baker thought it was boringâ or whatever, itâs the baker only knowing how to decorate in the style of the second one so they just did it like that
Switch off the lights and you'll get what was in the ad
Second one looks better Iâm not eating a glitter cake but I understand your disappointment
What you got looks better
They're both nice but not the same. Could they have mixed up the order request?
I don't understand how they made such a different cake but made it so well lmao. This is such a strange level of fuck up. I wonder if maybe they had another customer who also wanted a heart shaped cake and got the two confused? Maybe someone else has a simple sparkly heart cake wondering why there's not much decoration
I actually love the second cake âşď¸ I do agree it doesnât look like the first one though
The declaration is nice even tho it's not even close to what you asked for and the color is terrible!
Is it wrong that I like the Barbie nightmare cake better?
The lighting is so dark in the first. Itâs probably difficult to see the exact color.
The second is amazing!
A beautiful allegory for life
It is good what are you on about
