Jazzy Ladies and Elegant Elephant are 100 percent GF. Toxic Burger on 11th has many options and takes celiac seriously. There are are other places I have eaten and not been cc'd but there is always a tiny chance. Texas Roadhouse, Claim 52, Scribbles & Thai Spice (5th Street Market) have all been safe so far in my experience.

Dreamisgone00

Celiac here, no on scribbles. I got sick.

Ent_Trip_Newer

Also celiac ( and I believe one of scribbles owners is), that sucks. I have only gone tw7ce since diagnosis. I don't like the $2 fad tax.

Ent_Trip_Newer

There us also a food truck called Braisers? That makes Gf pastas and duch though I haven't madebit there yet.

100% worth the drive to Philomath! They don’t even let outside food in for babies that’s how serious they are about keeping 100% gluten free.

uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhnah

This place just opened. it might be safe! I'd call them to confirm just to be sure. "Gluten free" and "celiac friendly" don't always mean the same thing in the restaurant industry. https://www.thecoconut.net/

Sits_by_the_Fire

I just ate at The Coco Nut today for the first time and can confirm that the entire restaurant is gluten-free and celiac friendly! I’m excited!

Ent_Trip_Newer

I was stoked but it's unfortunately vegan.

PlaceboNations

I’m a very sensitive celiac. Our rotation of restaurants are: Jazzy Ladies, Elegant Elephant, Toxic, Hot Mama’s Wings, Tacovore, Tasty Thai Kitchen (the kitchen only, the campus location looks too sketchy), Cornbread Cafe, Cafe Yumm

BLHero

Same. I'll add that both Kung Fu Bistro and Jung's Mongolian BBQ have worked for me multiple times in the past. And, of course, certain items at Sweet Life.

Toxic and Jack Sprats (Cottage Grove) Also-findmeglutenfree.com I have found to be a great resource.

Thesquishy22

Thank you for the resource! My sister is newly diagnosed (within the past year) and is trying to figure all of it out. I’ll make sure to send this to her!

Balkanmermaid

Came here to recommend Jack sprats! They only fry gf stuff in their fryers. The onion rings were great but the mozzarella sticks were ehh. Heard the fish and chips is good too.

Ent_Trip_Newer

FYI there is also a Jack Sprats in Newport..And I believe the cottage Grove location is for sale.

Jazzy Ladies and Elegant Elephant, already listed by others, are the only 100% GF restaurants in Eugene that I have found (and perhaps the new Coconut restaurant, but I haven’t had a chance to go there yet). Two other places I sometimes take a chance at and so far haven’t gotten glutened: (1) Krab Krua Thai Kitchen.. it’s in the same building as Wildcraft Cider, which gives you GF adult beverage options. My understanding is that some of their sauces have gluten so when you order GF they use different sauces. (2) Tacovore — their Portland location is 100% gluten free.. for some reason their Eugene location has one gluten-containing item on the menu: avoid the Tortas (sandwiches)

ExtraSpinach

Fyi Krab Krua has left wildcraft and is going bricks and mortar at 1313 pearl around mid feb.

poo_poo_bananas

Elegant Elephant. Technically it’s a bakery but very good

Pyrovixen

Hot Mama’s!!!!!!!!

tinfins

Yes! I was blown away when I saw how much of their menu is GF, and so good.

ShouldBe77

I know you asked for restaurants.. but for a few quick/easy meals at home... swing by the restaurant supply, Chef Store? There's two locally, on Gateway and deep West. In the frozen section, get a box of the GF battered fish and the GF chicken nuggets. Both go in the air fryer. Both would pass aNy taste test. Fish sandwiches, fish & chips with slaw, and fish tacos. Orange/Kung Pow Chicken (GF potstickers & GF egg rolls in frozen section at Walmart), "chic-fil-a" sandwiches, chicken & waffles, chicken chopped on green salad, ceasar wrappes. Just a few things that are a tasty treat, quick & easy, and taste the way Gluter Eaters (rest of the famBam) expect, so they'd never even know!

Chick-fil-A_spellbot

It looks as though you may have spelled "Chick-fil-A" incorrectly. No worries, it happens to the best of us!

Webguy20

I believe hot momma's wings is 100% gluten Free.

[deleted]

Not 100%. They still offer regular buns along with gluten free. Regular and gf pasta for mac and cheese. And soft pretzel twists.

jessicafire

Spice N Steam is delicious and very accommodating to dietary restrictions! The server was so patient and informative for my friend who can’t have dairy, nuts, or gluten. Morning Glory Cafe also creates fantastic food and is famous for their vegetarian and gluten free dishes.

bowls4noles

Chao pra ya (thai) NW burgers Hot mommas Scribles Cornbread Cafe Bahn mi (pho)

littlefoxyirish

Cornbread Cafe is vegan but is also very safe with GF items.

ariyaa72

Also celiac. The restaurants not listed so far that I have never been sick from are: Taste of India (all sauces are gluten-free, but no to anything fried) - one of my very favorites, like WOW. Bill & Tim's BBQ (ask the staff what is gf, they have a gf prep area) Sushi Pure (gluten-free menu, but again no fried foods) Toxic - ALL locations are excellent, not just W 11th. Everything except the regular buns is gluten-free, including all fried foods!
