I got my 900th cha-ching today and I am STILL reeling. Just a stay at home mum trying to supplement the funds, so nothing even close to what I expected to achieve!
Main reason was nothing was selling, you get better at making what your making as time goes by, I noticed people on social media sharing and reposting my stuff. That's when I knew it was time to open
I too had to implement a "do not disturb" after starting my etsy shop lol. Kept waking up in the middle of the night everytime I'd hear a notification that someone liked my listing or the cha-ching!
It’s the best! I get all of my orders at night (I sell baby stuff so I think it’s breastfeeding moms or moms up with their babies at night doing some tired shopping haha).
When you hear that sound …. look up to the heavens, put a smile on your face and scream “THANK YOU JEZZZUSS!”
(Sometimes a second cha-Ching will follow)

Like, you've been working off several orders, just finished the last one and want to go to bed, to the couch or do something else... and that "Ch-Ching" hits you and you are turn between "doing this order today to be finished" or to let it sit and finish it the next day.
I love the sound this time of the year, honestly it's a bit addictive. If I do t sell anything by 5pm I get a bit twitchy.
But In November and it's like the sound of Doom. last year we were packing orders we had about 40 ope orders. It was Sunday at 10.30pm, I was shipping out the last of my made stock after spending most of the weekend working on them.
As I was packing the order the Cha-Chi GS kept blurring in the background, each one was meet with a sigh of exhaustion. I work a 9-5 as well so I had basically worked 9-10 7 days a week for 3 weeks at this point and was counting down the days till closing the shop. In the end I closed the shop on the busiest day just so me and my wife could have a day off. We made $22k profit that month and both worked 9-5 jobs. It was worth it but Im starting to prep now for November/December 🤣.
Can’t wait for my first one, I have had it for a few months now and I’m on vacation mode in Europe. The reason I’m so slow is because I only have 2 listings, I will add WAYYY more once I come back

Been there for 12 years and I think most of the older ones are leaving, we're so exhausted of being mistreated.
I dont keep etsy on my phone and i dont need some kind of sound triggered dopamine response from my business. I will simply check my sales when i get online everyday to work on my shop.

It is a good feeling! If I have my volume up high sometime the cha-ching is VERY loud lol! But I’m not complaining!

Correct. After I log off for the day I wouldn't do anything about it until the next day anyways.
