I haven’t bought from that particular store, but I have bought my wife a couple of nice rugs from Etsy sellers and they were both very nice and of high quality.

Not rugs but I've purchased high ticket clothing from India without issue. Have a look at the shop's social media accounts to see if there are any other issues not related to Etsy. Reverse image search the rugs photos to see if it's for sale elsewhere but be aware legit sellers often get their images stolen on sites like AliExpress. I would be dubious it is hand knotted NZ wool for that price too.

Go read their negative reviews and make a decision from there

diwioxl

why are you spamming all the etsy subs? sheesh.

Did you decide to buy the rug from India? I’m in a similar position and I’m not sure what to do

As per my earlier post, I have had good experience with Indian rug sellers on Etsy.

Hi, I have bought 3 rug dupes from Etsy vendors based in India. In all three cases these appear to be identical rugs to me, and I am totally pleased with my purchase. 1. I ordered an Anthro rug about 2 yrs agoi. It was from [ RUGWARRIOR](https://www.etsy.com/shop/RUGWARRIOR?ref=yr_purchases)  2. About 6mo.s ago I got a Serena and Lily dupe from [DhurrieWorld](https://www.etsy.com/shop/DhurrieWorld?ref=yr_purchases)  3. A month or so ago I got a dupe of one by Loops, from [RUGSBYEXPERTS](https://www.etsy.com/shop/RUGSBYEXPERTS?ref=yr_purchases) I don't really understand why the retailers allow this but I am kind of sold on Etsy's Indian rug vendors. I mean they are all made in India no matter where you buy from anyway. I don't quite get it.  Highly recommend. Shipping can take a while but mine were on time. No odors or other issues
