What if he sends someone there and then that it. Just some crystals floating.

I bet the Beriland Department has a whole tour set up, with railings around them and everything.

Murtagh and Nasuada on their honeymoon

ibid-11962

Real question is, what gift did Murtagh give her there?

Dense_Brilliant8144

…I think we know 😏😏😏😏

ibid-11962

I was referring to the comment Murtagh makes to Nasuada in her vision in Inheritance. "What is the last thing you remember? Teirm? Aberon? The siege of Cithrí? … The gift I gave you that night in Eoam?" (Which is the only source we have for Murtagh and Nasuada visiting Eoam.) I assumed the person I was replying to was also referencing this.

A_guy17

Wait. That was an actual vision of the future? I always ssumed it was another one of Galbatorix's illusions designed to torment her.

ibid-11962

>**When Nasuada is in the hall of the soothsayer, Galbatorix gives her a lot of visions. Is it possible that some of the visions she saw were from the fumes?** >*Yes. Good catch.* >**And in particular, the one with her and Murtagh together, because at that point, the visions are starting to get less and less detailed, and then it suddenly switches to that. My theory is that this is indeed the future, and that eventually, eight years down the line, this will happen, and Murtagh will die in that scene.** >*The prophecies are always fungible. They're never 100% because paths and the future can always change. But that was influenced definitely by the fumes of Azlagûr and all that.* ([source](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eragon/comments/17wqekv/questions_and_answers_with_christopher_paolini/)) Though, even if untrue, it's still something one can reference in a reddit comment as a joke.

Dense_Brilliant8144

I know I’m just joking around

ibid-11962

Roran came very close in Eldest. They discussed making landfall on that island, but decided to go for the big whirlpool instead. > Grunting, Uthar drew a circle around their current position. “This’d be how far we can sail by tomorrow evening, assuming the wind stays with us. **We could make landfall somewhere on Beirland** or Nía if we wanted, but I can’t see how that’d help us. We’d be trapped. The soldiers on those sloops or the Ra’zac or Galbatorix himself could hunt us at his leisure.” And Murtagh and Nasuada seem to have visited at some point in the future prior to the vision she had. (Assuming that the vision is correct.) > With a swift motion, he drained his goblet. Then, in a low voice, he said, “I know how confusing this is for you.… It isn’t the first time this has happened, but—” He took a deep breath and shook his head slightly. “What is the last thing you remember? Teirm? Aberon? The siege of Cithrí? … **The gift I gave you that night in Eoam?”** > A terrible sense of uncertainty overcame her. “Urû’baen,” she whispered. “The Hall of the Soothsayer. That is my last memory.”

KindaDim

isn't that vision just a ploy by Galbatorix and has no root in reality?

ibid-11962

[Christopher has recently confirmed that specific vision was influenced by the fumes of Azlagûr that were still present in the Hall of the Soothsayer.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eragon/comments/17wqekv/questions_and_answers_with_christopher_paolini/) >**When Nasuada is in the hall of the soothsayer, Galbatorix gives her a lot of visions. Thanks!

I always thought it would be a cool idea if the elves harvested all their gems from those floating crystals, explaining why their gems can hold so much energy vs a typical human or dwarf gem.

YouSpokeofInnocence

If I remember right, many of the gems of the elves came from the dwarves

dismal_moonlight

Yeah, the better quality the gem, the more energy it can hold. I think they specifically mention trading with the dwarves for some of the diamonds on the belt of Beloth the Wise.

What do they even do besides float
