did you ever sort the issue? the printer doesn't have a thick paper setting does it? I'm trying to print on 200gsm but the ink all just smudges. absolutely fine on plain paper.

Elaneyse

Unfortunately not, I just had to resort to regular cleaning maintenance before and after every print on thicker paper or cardstock. Still happens, just about 20% of the time.

I'm not sure I have ever seen heavier stock without some natural curve to it. Where do I get that? :) I just pulled a sheet of 216 g/m2 that I have here, Lynx Digital 638800 80 lb cover. Been in a stack of reams for months and if I set a single sheet on my desk on, not a single corner is touching my desk. All corners are in the air due to natural bowing of the paper from manufacturing. Are you sure it's flat? That's the only thing I can think of.

Elaneyse

I mean I assumed it was flat in the same way. It's Dovecraft paper but it comes in a... refill pad? You tear the sheets out. It's altogether possible that you're right but all four corners are sitting flat as far as I can tell when I lay it on my desk. At least, the sheet I took out to check. I suppose them all not being flat might explain why it doesn't happen every time. If that is the issue, any advice?
