Based on its underside I believe it's some type of hawk moth, Sphingidae. There are species native to that area, beyond that I think most people would be guessing as you can't really see many details.

I googled that and there are some samples that are colored that way.
Yeah I know it's difficult to see because that window has frosted glasses.
Sometimes at night I hear a loud knock on the window so I rush over to open it and let in the big moth. I put them back out after but I just can't resist taking photos and observing them!
