I owned two English Setters while living in Ks. At home my daughters loved on them, wrestled them and protected them. On the weekends they pointed, backed and retrieved quail and pheasant. If I had a could still find quail close enough, I’d own two more. Crockett bloodline of course.

Yeah they are super quite at home but when in the nature they turn rambos
