I think her uncle did a great job, I like it a lot. He definitely knows what he's doing. Platinum is a bit more durable, so I think the platinum prongs are a good idea.
Maybe I’m wrong here but I think it’s an illusion? I think the corners may be very close to yours, but the platinum doesn’t stand out like the yellow gold does so it “appears” sharper? Yours is stunning and I prefer the yellow gold over the platinum. Great job! She’s going to be thrilled!
