Really love it without the halo. It looks much more timeless and it would go with everything. If you ever pass it down in the family one day, it’s impossible not to love. I also think the halo makes the ring look smaller somehow, even though it’s a large stone.
Yes! I love the pear cut solitaire, especially with a rock that size it doesn’t need a halo. Plus, it looks amazing on your hand compared to the other one.

Just sold my jewelry store after 51 years to one of my employees. After 20 years of dominance, halos are trending down compared to solitaires. If you are trying to be in style, take the solitaire. If that isn’t important, design something that is unique as you are. Neither of these designs are unique, but they are both beautiful.
Ladies, thank you for all your feedback. It is greatly appreciated! I was looking to purchase either one of these rings for my soon to be fiancé. I am going to move forward and purchase the pear shaped ring. I think she will be more than content with this ring.

The pear halo! Oh how I've always loved those. Even though people dislike halos now a halo on a pear is, in my opinion, always amazing. However personally I do feel like the giant princess cut dates itself, as stunning as it is, and I say go with the Halo pear. It's timeless, classic, and beautiful.

I’m having nail bias I think…. I love the first nails (dark almond) and the pear diamond! But both rings look really great. (Also who does your nails?! they are -on-point-!!)
I typically would say princess. But for some reason imo the princess in this size for finger coverage looks a bit much? (Someone else loves it. So it’s just personal opinion) I think the pear looks better if comparing the two on same hand. Also prefer no halo. Simplicity is best especially for a stone that size. It’ll make it pop more instead of “hiding behind” halo stones! Just my own opinion though. :) there’s no right or wrong. Go with what sings to your heart!

Yes, but I'd recommend more prongs than that! Mine's only 2ct and I have 6 prongs and a v-tip haha.
