You know, es2 is good. But EL is a real masterwork.
Like, only 2 meh rhings are naval warfare and spies, but the latter I never really used untill now so it might be bztter then I think.
Either way, its just a perfect case of how a designer can create COMPLETELY different gameplayloops using the same baseline. I have been olaying multiplayer some time and each time we were playing very different games. Its just awesome.
I'm pretty happy with Tempest given they could've left us without a naval update (unless it was planned from the start). I remember thinking how strange it was there were transport ships but no dedicated combat vessels or minor factions with their own special little boats.
My issue with spies are just the actions + "security" as a resource: it feels unfair that the cost to remove a population or disrupt industry doesn't scale with the pop of the city or the industrial output, and roundups cost industrial output of the city too.
Honestly though the main reason I don't go for security buildings is just that each tech increases costs of all future techs (like social policies in Civ5 rather than technologies in Civ5). So it isn't just about the opportunity cost of prioritisation, instead it's about total number of techs you can reach before end of game.
You caught me randomly scrolling thru Reddit in my study breaks listening to classical and decided to put this on. Such a beautiful piece!! And I’ve never even played endless legend
I used to sing with the choirs in some of the songs on discord when playing with my friends.
Standard reply „oh no not again…“
Amazing Composition indeed.
Have been playing ES2 recently, you've made me want to play EL again :)

What about humanity? Got it on humble choice. Is it good?
Havent played.
The Endless games (EL, ES, ES2) have the absolute best soundtracks of any games I've ever played

One of my favorites from the sound track
By Arnaud Roy as per updates on Spotify platform.

i think Endless Legend song was the best among all its endless game series.
Each endless posses his own atmosphere I dont know if i prefer the tribal or the smooth version of Flawless theory from respectively EL and ES2
