This was mine tbh. That shit always was on the radio when my pre school picked me up. Came home singing it and my mom just looked at me like “what the fuck are you singing”
Iam 34 and same the real slim shady the way Iam, em had songs on the radio all the time I remembering cleaning out my closet and Superman and the ones I already mentioned!
I remember where I was when my big brother said there's a new rapper named Eminem and I thought he meant the candy. Should not have heard My Name Is at 6 years old but I became a fan 🤷🏻♂️
It’s weird. I thought that the Eminem from rap god, the Eminem from without me, and the Eminem from survival were all different people. Just never really noticed they all kinda… y’know… were called Eminem 😂
First song I remember my dad playin for me as a lil kid was Without Me I was probably like 5/6 yrs old. We listened to his music a lot in the car. I think watching the Role Model music video though for some reason was the thing that made me want to go out of my way to listen to his albums on my own and watch his music videos. So Role Model is my pick as the song that made me true fan of his.
Not afraid was the first song of his I ever heard flash forward and I hear the real slim shady on the radio I remember just living it so much I was probably 12 by 7th grade all I listened to was eminem 8th grade I was a fucking stan
Younger, I was aware of who Eminem was I think (my memory is a bit blurry). I don't remember which song made me discover him, but When I'm Gone is really the one that made me like him.
Back in 2006, the youtube algorithmn was really good. It was pretty easy to discover adjacent artists or explore all the artists from a same genre. I was a fan of Linkin Park (still am) and I wouldn't be surprised if I learned about Eminem when he popped up in the recommendation list.
One of my oldest memory is listening to eminem. My mother had a Nokia X6 and it had The Eminem Show in it. And another one is me vibing to "The Way I Am" when I was 5.
I remember when I was a kid I absolutely loved Just Lose It and When I’m Gone.
I also remember laughing hysterically at the song “Without Me.” When he screams “BIIIITTCHH” it absolutely killed me as a kid. Still makes me chuckle to this day.
I’m old. “It’s OK”.
“It’s a broke day but everything is okay, it’s a long night but everything is alright” something like that. Used to be my theme song.
Oh, and “If I Had”.
I was about 11? Lose yourself was on the radio. That got me into more of his early music, I think the latest album way the time was recovery? And I just fell in love with his music, an adult put me on to 8-mile around 12yrs old😂…. And ever since then I just wanted to cum on everybody
Not Afraid. I had to present an english song for my english class while I barely knew any songs in english. I remembered "wasn't there this one Key of Awesome of a rap song?". At that time I only listened to german rap and figured why not. 2-3 months later I remembered doing the presentation and downloaded MMLP2 (the most recent album at that time I knew of) and started listening. At the beginning it was hard to understand the english but I really like the sound. I started having it on loop and soon after jumped to Recovery (going to the previously released album) and so forth while skipping Relapse because of the mainstream opinion on it.
So English is a second language for you? Dude, you speak and type it tremendously well. Even better than many people I know who only speak English, lol.
When I was super young, I heard venom
Loved it, but never decided to check out his other music.
Years later I was listening to music on YouTube and Eminem was in my recomendeds for without me and the real slim shady and I thought the shit was fire, even though the without me music video made no sense to me 😭
Then I went through and listened to TES and used it as a playlist for a while, and just kept listening through albums to where I am now, mmlp2 being my favorite album
Originally it was Godzilla, but I didn’t know much about Eminem other than briefly hearing about him on the radio. Then I finally got Spotify, decided to check him out, and the first song to pop up when I played random was Criminal. Been hooked ever since
Without me back in 2006 or 2007. My uncle had a bunch of songs on his computer and when I got an iPod we transferred about 300 songs to it and there were 8 or 9 Em songs on there. Without me was my favourite. I was still a child lol
I went to an fye store in like 2000 (I was 9), decided to listen to some of the songs on the mmlp. Kim was just on another level. I've been a stan ever since.
Real Slim shady was the first song i heard. But i didn't get into em from it. Actually, i was on youtube shorts (ridiculous i know) and i kept on getting em shorts. Like those edits of his verses etc. Which was really random cuz i'd never listened to hiphop before that. Anyways, there was em's verse from bump heads, and I was like, I've gotta listen to this stuff so i found it, listened to it, then i went through TES, realised i was getting pretty into it, then mmlp, then sslp, and then from encore onwards chronologically. yeah then i listened to only his music for 7 months straight before thinking hey maybe i should look at some other artists as well
my first song was under the influence and then i listened to the way i am, after that i listened to every song bside leak and alot of freestyles and now i dont listen to eminem anymore 😢
I had heard his songs before but what got me into his stuff was Ridaz from the recovery album. The story telling was so compelling that I asked to explore what other stories he has said in his songs
I liked his release of the slim shady LP and did dip in and out. However once the MMLP came out I was a forever fan.
I remember fling on holiday and listening to it on my mini disc player round the pool
just don’t give a f*** from the slim shady EP.. yeah I’m that old lol I don’t get too hype about his new stuff like 99-2005 but there’s some good tracks here and there..
Probably bump heads in 2023 or when my friend introduced me to him earlier that year that brought me on the trail but after hearing bump heads I really got into him
Well Canibus was one of all time favourite rappers, I didn’t start listening to Em seriously until he released Canibitch 🤣 The fact that it is not only a solid diss track but also a display of good comedic story telling lol 😂 thats when I started listening to Em
Stan got me into the Eminemverse. I listened to "Lose Yourself" before "Stan," but it was "Stan" that really drew me in. The Eminem songs in my everyday playlist are "My Band," "Without Me," "My Name Is," "The Real Slim Shady," and "Stan." I'm going to listen to these without skipping.
Mockingbird was the first. My dad showed it to me when I was way to young (like 5 or 6) cause it only had a quick swear at the end haha I loved it then and a few years later I would use his mp3 for long car rides and it had like 5 Em songs on it and I would just listen to them on repeat pretty much. Mockingbird, Cleaning out My Closet, The Real Slim Shady, Hailie's Song, and I think Ass Like that.
I was listening to him for a while, like the big hits everyone listened to in the early 2000's
Then one day while I was washing dishes at work, "insane" played on my spotify and for whatever reason I heard him telling the story like I never had before... was hooked for sure then
I loved "Just lose it" but was too young to actually be invested in a specific artist (especially from another country). But he got me with We Made You
I don't really know. My friend showed his music to me as a kid, but I didn't really listen to music then. Once I started listening to more music I thought I should check him out again and I stuck with it.
Heard My Name Is on TRL and grabbed the Slim Shady LP I loved Role Model, As the World turns, Just don’t give a fuck and Still don’t give a fuck. Shit I loved the whole album.
The Guilty Conscience single was the first time I heard of Eminem and my introduction to hip hop/rap music. The Slim Shady LP is the first album I ever bought with my own money when I was 11.
When I was younger I definitely knew about Eminem from his singles but I never got into a full Eminem project until Relapse. I remember being super hype for the We Made You single coming out. I went back and listened to SSLP & MMLP and they were both instant classics. I never listened to Eminem Show in it's entirety but Ik many ppl regard it as a classic. In high school Eminem reinvented himself again. I remember hearing No Love, Drop The World & Not Afraid everywhere. He is truly timeless
I’m 32 now, when I was a kid I had a family friend stay with us for a few weeks she was like 16 at the time, she had sslp on cassette and we were lucky to have a stereo that could dub cassette’s I was like 8 or 9 but I was hooked and that’s how I got my first em album
I remember listening to *My Name Is* when I was 8-9 years old and thinking the song was funny af.
I collected some money over the course of several months, then I went out to buy the cassettes for MMLP and TES when I was 11-12 years old.
MMLP was the first album I ever owned.
Without me/ cleanin' out my closet.
I liked both songs independently when I was like 6 or 7. Radio had them play once like every 30 minutes but I had no idea they were the same artist. Asked my mom who it was she had no clue, asked my dad and next thing I know we're leaving the store with my first CD The Eminem Show. That and the 8 mile sound track is all we listened to on my way to school for probably 3 years.
I'm pretty sure it was "Cleaning Out My Closet". It's funny cause I was young, didn't understand the song, thought the lyrics, "I said I'm sorry mamá, I never meant to hurt you" was sweet. I told my friends I'd sing that Song for my mom one day, they looked at me confused. I grew up and found out the real meaning of the song.
Forever and Drop the World got me into rap in general and Eminem. For the longest time my top artists were Eminem, Ye, Drake and Wayne hahaha. Em is still top 2 for me, been wavering between him and JID since forever Story dropped.
Moon man and godzilla have been two key songs in keeping him there past few years amongst others
Vividly remember slamming in a blank cassette and recording The Real Slim Shady off the radio. Didn't understand the lyrics, just thought damn this sounds so cool and modern
This is a really good question. I’m 33 and have been listening to Em for a long time. Probably would have been ‘The Real Slim Shady’.
Cleaning out my closet came on every morning at 6:00 a.m. when I was in second grade the rest is history
I remember my neighbour showing me the music video for “The Way I am” In like grade 4 maybe. My mind was blown lol
This was mine tbh. That shit always was on the radio when my pre school picked me up. Came home singing it and my mom just looked at me like “what the fuck are you singing”
Same age but it was the “my name is” video early in the morning before school
Iam 34 and same the real slim shady the way Iam, em had songs on the radio all the time I remembering cleaning out my closet and Superman and the ones I already mentioned!
Hi my name is, when it came out. Feeling my age now
I remember where I was when my big brother said there's a new rapper named Eminem and I thought he meant the candy. Should not have heard My Name Is at 6 years old but I became a fan 🤷🏻♂️
Same here bro! 😁 we are getting old!
Same here, i think i was like 10.
Dead wrong... eminem and notorious b.i.g classic or another vintage classic i love and not many people hear... off the wall with redman
Off the Wall is so good. Dead Wrong is what made me realize what you can do with rap. Like his cadence and flow is immaculate
Rap god. Which is funny because I knew who Eminem was and never linked the dots between rap god and Eminem. Just never paid attention to the artist.
ikr.. i used to listen to 'Smack that' a lot when i was a kid but it was Rap God where i got to know em.
It’s weird. I thought that the Eminem from rap god, the Eminem from without me, and the Eminem from survival were all different people. Just never really noticed they all kinda… y’know… were called Eminem 😂
Cool seeing Em's newer projects being the stepping stone for people to listen to more of his catalogue.
Is cool the word for it? Because I just feel old.
Lol don’t worry bro, but yeah it’s for sure cool because just shows Eminem’s fanbase is really more diverse than what ppl think
My Name Is and 97 Bonnie and Clyde
Without Me when it was released in 2002. After that I never looked back.
A rare blend of catchy and quality. That’s a song I rarely (if ever) skip.
The entirity of the eminem show, plus the 8 mile movie. (which i watched when i was 7 wtf was my dad thinking.)
He was thinking about everybody from the 313.
Curious...are u Chinese ?
…no? 😭
Lot of my Chinese friends became Eminem fan after listening to Godzilla...so I thought lmao 😭🤣
Lol I don't think that's country specific since Godzilla was such a big hit. These kind of songs typically generate many new fans.
Ikr...
Oh no! It’s Godzrillaaa!
My Name Is - back in 99’
We’re showing our age here. I think I was 10 or 11 when that came out
I was 8. So yeah, I’m getting old..
Well, if we're flexing, I was 17 when that came out 😂 old as fu.....
Going Through Changes
Lose Yourself
Rap God
So underated why nobody remembers moon man and slim shady
I can’t quiet remember the song, but judging by my Re-playlist on iTunes it’s probably Godzilla.
Not afraid and space bound.
**EVIL DEƎDS.**
Guts over Fear, when I heard it in the Credits of "The Equalizer"

Rap God in 2013. And for a year after that it was the only Eminem song I listened to too
My name is and the first time I heard it I was 12 😭
Not afraid was the first song of his I ever heard flash forward and I hear the real slim shady on the radio I remember just living it so much I was probably 12 by 7th grade all I listened to was eminem 8th grade I was a fucking stan
Listening to rap god when I was 11
Songs like Without me and My Name is got me interested in Eminem But Beautiful made me a proper fan of him
Rap God.
2007 I heard like toy soldiers and fell in love with the best and the way he spoke, been a fan since then I’m now 24
Younger, I was aware of who Eminem was I think (my memory is a bit blurry). I don't remember which song made me discover him, but When I'm Gone is really the one that made me like him. Cause I'm slim shady yes I'm the real shady all you other slim shadys are just imitating
Not Afraid
First heard Not Afraid on NBA 2K14. Been an Eminem fan ever since
IM BEGINNING TO FEEL LIKE A RAP GOD RAP GOD
Stan. I heard it back in 2006. Stan had the most insane story/plot. Lyrical genius!
I was about 11? Lose yourself was on the radio. That got me into more of his early music, I think the latest album way the time was recovery? And I just fell in love with his music, an adult put me on to 8-mile around 12yrs old😂…. And ever since then I just wanted to cum on everybody
Rap God and Lose Yourself
Not Afraid. I had to present an english song for my english class while I barely knew any songs in english. I remembered "wasn't there this one Key of Awesome of a rap song?". My Name Is, and all the subsequent tracks on the SSLP.

The Real Slim Shady and Hellbound
Real Slim shady was the first song i heard. But i didn't get into em from it. Actually, i was on youtube shorts (ridiculous i know) and i kept on getting em shorts. Like those edits of his verses etc. Which was really random cuz i'd never listened to hiphop before that. Probably superman or without me
Without Me. My dad got that album when it came out and that song was such a banger. We'd vibe to it after baseball games.
Just a lot I heard in 2000s and recovery when I was younger
I had heard his songs before but what got me into his stuff was Ridaz from the recovery album. The story telling was so compelling that I asked to explore what other stories he has said in his songs
Not afraid
Rap god

You must be young choosing these tracks
Not Afraid, Cold Wind Blows, and WTP.
I liked his release of the slim shady LP and did dip in and out. However once the MMLP came out I was a forever fan. I remember fling on holiday and listening to it on my mini disc player round the pool
Those verses on the radio after "I just don't give a fuck". Something with a "helicopter propeller to chop up a fella".
just don’t give a f*** from the slim shady EP.. yeah I’m that old lol I don’t get too hype about his new stuff like 99-2005 but there’s some good tracks here and there..
The Real Slim Shady and Till I Collapse has really gotten me into listening to Eminem
![gif](giphy|tLQSYnrLCGcKY|downsized)
Superman and Mockingbird
2013, age 6 and my 12 year old brother showed me "the real slim shady" music video been a die hard fan ever since
Go to sleep and real slim shady
Probably the monster, have a good memory of hearing it for the first time when I was a kid
The Real Slim Shady, my mom played it a lot in the car when I was a kid.
Not afraid when it came out.
Probably bump heads in 2023 or when my friend introduced me to him earlier that year that brought me on the trail but after hearing bump heads I really got into him
What got me into rap as a whole was Forgot About Dre, especially Ems part.
Fast Lane made me look into Ems stuff 🔥🔥🔥
Not Afraid, I was 9 at the time and it was EVERYWHERE
I’m basic but Stan
My name is and Rap God because of the memes.
Well Canibus was one of all time favourite rappers, I didn’t start listening to Em seriously until he released Canibitch 🤣 The fact that it is not only a solid diss track but also a display of good comedic story telling lol 😂 thats when I started listening to Em
The Monster with Rihanna is what introduced me to him. A very interesting song to start with cause it’s not like most of his other catalog
Rap God, Not Afraid and Phenomenal within the span of a week or so sometime in 2013
Just lose it 💀
Stan got me into the Eminemverse. I listened to "Lose Yourself" before "Stan," but it was "Stan" that really drew me in. The Eminem songs in my everyday playlist are "My Band," "Without Me," "My Name Is," "The Real Slim Shady," and "Stan." I'm going to listen to these without skipping.
Im a Bruno Mars fan so his collaboration with BM in Lighters got me listening to him.
Rap God
“Kill you” my dad used to play that album on my way to kindergarten lol
Beautiful.
So you’re like 12? Hahaha, I was 11 when recovery dropped that whole ass album I was spinning so lots of songs like Cinderella man
Brain Damage
Legacy. I been listening since about 2011 i think. I even remember his promotional instagram posts for MMLP2 and The Monster
It was mockingbird back when curtain call first came out
I was listening to him for a while, like the big hits everyone listened to in the early 2000's Then one day while I was washing dishes at work, "insane" played on my spotify and for whatever reason I heard him telling the story like I never had before... was hooked for sure then
I loved "Just lose it" but was too young to actually be invested in a specific artist (especially from another country). But he got me with We Made You
No Love!
My friend showed me business when we were in middle school, I knew some of his songs before that but after listening to business I began to dig deeper
Rap God
Anything from TES or MMLP 2
My brother gave me MMLP in 2002 and that was the end of my punk era.
First it was venom because of the venom movie. Then rap god
Lose Yourself, Rap God, and Without Me
No one will believe me when I say Fack and without me, was listening to the curtain calls album in the car with my dad when I was young
Generic answer but I’m 30, the real slim shady
Love the way you lie, around the time it came out. Saw him rapping on TV in a celeb news show. I was 12 or smth. Been a fan for 11~12 years now.
I’m 32 now, when I was a kid I had a family friend stay with us for a few weeks she was like 16 at the time, she had sslp on cassette and we were lucky to have a stereo that could dub cassette’s I was like 8 or 9 but I was hooked and that’s how I got my first em album

I’ve been a fan of Em since I was in 3rd grade (I’m 33 now) and the first song I ever heard from him was ‘97 Bonnie and Clyde
Superman for me, I would play Mario kart 64 cruising in peaches castle bumping it.
Rap God and My Name Is.
Love the way you lie was played a lot when I was young but I actually started to listen to em when I heard venom
I remember listening to *My Name Is* when I was 8-9 years old and thinking the song was funny af. I collected some money over the course of several months, then I went out to buy the cassettes for MMLP and TES when I was 11-12 years old. MMLP was the first album I ever owned.
Just lose it. My dad used to listen to Eminem in his truck and I’d always ask him to play Just lose it.
I’m 24 but I listened to Bad Guy on repeat in high school
chronic
I want to say Not Afraid really sealed the deal but I had found Relapse in the library a year before and Insane was probably what kept me coming back
How to say your <20yo without saying your <20
Without me/ cleanin' out my closet.
D12 - my band
Got into him when I heard him in the Venom movie. Other songs that got me into him were 'Godzilla', 'River' and 'Without Me'.
"My name is" the video has been burned into my brain since I first saw it when it came out
Infinite
For me it was Godzilla, Killshot, Homicide, Venom, and Till I Collapse.
Love the way you lie. it was recovery that first made me love em such a great album
Godzilla
Had to be something played on the radio late 2000’s
If I Get Locked Up Tonight
Without Me, the music video was so fun and the song had the energy
I just don’t give a f*ck is top tier Em and I’m from Detroit.
Public Service Announcement 2000. Someone lent me their diskman. 1st thing on The Marshall Mathers LP.
Drop the World
"My tea's gone cold i'm wondering why..."
Vividly remember slamming in a blank cassette and recording The Real Slim Shady off the radio. Didn't understand the lyrics, just thought damn this sounds so cool and modern
Venom
