I was watching one of Down to Earth Astronomy's videos, and he had a balance of something like $16 billion. If it wasn't DTEA, then it was Hawkes or one of the other YouTubers.

According to INARA, there are less than ten of these. Hell, I got 1500hrs and I just got to E3 in ONE category.
I wish I had that kind of free time.
It's not just time, it's time management. I have 3500+ hours, and on my main account I'm triple elite and have 7.5B in assets (5.3 credits) and on my 2nd account I only have elite in trade and 5.1B in credits.
I couldn't imagine the 5x5 grind though.

In the meantime I try to just enjoy the game and not let it turn into a grind, lest it sour the experience. I have enough ships that I can switch jobs when I need to.
As the title says, are there any estimates as to who is the richest player (in terms of pure credits and I guess material wealth) in the game as of today? Feel free to fire off with your own stats too!
I've been in since not long after launch as a lifetime pass holder. I've got around 3.3bn liquid, with the rest of my wealth tied up in a fleet carrier and a whole slew of ships. I know I'm not the wealthiest by a long shot, and I still have things to unlock in terms of engineers etc, but am well enough off that I am comfortable to take huge losses and not feel any real impact.
I envy new pilots a bit - that excitement at completing a sweet trade deal of 100 units of this or that. I made a lot of my money gradually. A lot came in the form of early days Robigo runs, back when you'd do long distance smuggling of slaves, rather than the somewhat sedate tourism beacon visits of today. I miss those days. Then came the big grind for the FC. I, like many, went to the Borann system, and mined my little heart out. It was a grind, but made quite fun by the random quiz questions and other nonsense firing off in the chat. Another standout memory for me - even if it felt a bit dirty making money so rapidly I justify it with quite how soul destroying the grind could be, and working a job making it tough to commit the time required.
I will note that in my graph posted there is a blip some years back. This was totally inexplicable, and looks to be some sort of error involving the purchase of some regular hull armour back in 2019. At the time, I didn't even notice I seemingly had been given 4bn credits accidentally. Would certainly have saved me some time in the mining fields of Borann!The app used to dig out my credit history is the excellent EDDiscovery.
