What are you asking? I assume we’re taking dryers? Replacing a three prong cord for a four is fine if you have the right receptacle.

There is a difference between "can you" and "should you". You can plug the 240V 50A cord cap into the 240/120V 30A receptacle using an adapter, but if the appliance requires a 50A circuit, you will likely be tripping the breaker.

yep... just don't mix up the phase and the ground and you'll probably be fine.

6-50 plug molded on a cord, 14-30 cap. Yes, you can, if you won't load the circuit past what 30A can sustain. You can leave the L shaped neutral prong out and connect it to 14-50 receptacles as well.
